Calella is a natural fishing village, very little has changed over the years, there are numerous sheltered coves and beaches fringing a crystal clear turquoise sea. Within 400 metres of the apartment you are in unspoilt countryside where you can walk or cycle to other coves and magnificent beaches without crossing any public road. This includes the ancient Cami de Ronda, paths run the entire length of the coast and offer the most beautiful coastal walks imaginable. Close by are the Botanical Gardens at Cap Roig, near El Golfet, with fabulous views out to sea, where in July and August, there is a festival of open air concerts, where famous stars from around the world perform.

A great stay

The apartment was lovely and light with stunning views. Well appointed kitchen. A balcony and an additional, totally private sunken roof terrace. The area was very pretty, with coves and beautiful clear sea. Great restaurants within the town. The hosts were excellent in their communication, before the holiday and throughout.

Fantastic property and location. Dan was very helpful and always responded quickly. Great space for a family of 5. Will definitely be recommending to other's. As we had our car we did have trip to Barcelona which I highly recommend but one day wasn't long enough. We caught the train from Caldes de Malavella which is about a 45 minutes away from the apartment. Free parking at the station was a bonus and the train was just over an hour. Thank you for a great stay.

Great property in an amazing village

The property is spacious and nicely decorated. The owner Dan, is very helpful and gave great suggestions on restaurants and very detailed and good instructions around everything that is good to know about the property. It is not a long distance going to the Village center, but the return is quite cumbersome and distance feels a bit to long, but it is good exercise. The Village is amazi ng. Lots of good restaurants, camino de ronda is beutiful, nice small beaches everywhere, genuine spanish feeling and very nice and friendly people. Would defintely recommend going here and rent this lovely apartment.

Limited towels, linen, and quilt too small for bed.

Great location, but only linen provided for one bed out of five. The only sheet provided was stained and dirty on arrival, however we appreciated the owner changed it promptly when notified. Only two towels provided for the entire weeks stay and no bath mat. We had to wash and dry the only towel when we needed a clean towel.

La estancia ha sido buena. No es nada recomendable ir con gente mayor, el edificio no tenga ascensor, y creo que deberian indicarlo Por lo demas ha estado muy bien, con todo lo necesario para pasar unos dias agradables y tranquilos a pesar de estar a 15min del centro y las playas Peter, el conserje muy amable en todo momento

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'appartement à la.fois spacieux et très convivial dans une residence tres agréable. La proximité du village et la vue sur la mer nous ont aussi particulièrement séduit. La region est tres belle et l'emplacement de l'appartement permet de rayonner facilement. Un sejour ideal pour nous tous !

Une très belle adresse !

Location correspondant parfaitement au descriptif. Appartement très agréable à vivre avec tout le confort y compris en inter saisons grâce au chauffage central et à la cheminée. Très belle vue sur la baie de Calella de P. du salon ou de la terrasse. Plusieurs activités sont à disposition dans la résidence. Enfin, Daniel est un propriétaire très réactif et toujours prêt à rendre service. Nous recommandons totalement !

Stunning apartment, well equipped, a winner

This is fantastic, well appointed apartment. Great location and views. It felt like a second home and that the owners really cared about the place and us. It has all the equipment to keep three generations happy during our family holiday. The grounds are very well kept as is the pool and its only a 15minute walk to the beautiful beaches and town of Calella. You can find the sun on a terrace or balcony anytime of day. We would all recommend it and definitely return.

Wonderful views of Calella

We had a wonderful stay in Calella at the end of August. The apartment was spacious with two balaconies and the views were amazing. The kitchen and utility room was well equipped and well laid out. We found the apartment clean, modern and comfortable. The pool area, little play area and tennis courts as well as the grounds were well maintained and the other residents and guests were friendly. The walk in to town of an evening was lovely with plenty of restaurants, bars, cafes and shops. Calella itself is very charming and we also walked to Llfranc and El Golfet. I highly recommend visiting Girona (this was my husband’s favourite part of the holiday). What a beautiful city! The old part of the town was just stunning. We also drove to Figueres to see the Dalí Theatre Museum which was very impressive. Overall a fantastic holiday enjoyed by all.

Nice spot

Recently back from a 6 night stay (group of 5 adults) . Property very spacious and well equipped with great views as perched on a hill overlooking Palafrugell. Owen very helpful and quick to respond to any questions. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful Location

We spent a week in this apartment. It has beautiful views from the upper and lower balcony. It's a bit of a walk down to the beach and there is no lift up to the apartment so it may not be suitable for some people. There is a garage but parking is very tight and it is hard to get in and out of. We chose to park on the street instead which was very easy. We give it four stars because we thought the floors and shower weren't exceptionally clean and we could have used fresh soap in the bathrooms. All in all this is a good place to base yourself and explore Costa Brava.

Thank you for your feedback. Details on the access to the apartment are indicated on the webpage and are based on feedback from guests. The apartment is 3 floors above the parking level. I am told that only two apartment buildings in the whole of Calella have a lift. It is not a high rise location. I have advised a prospective guest in the past not to take the apartment if one of the group is particularly infirm. Nevertheless many of our guests who gave us excellent feedback were 3 generation families. The entrance to the parking is tight but many of the owners (and some guests) have some of the largest cars on the European market (BMW X5 and Volvo XC90). The parking space that goes with the apartment is a double one and some guests have stayed with two cars. Your comments on the floor and shower are noted. I am sorry you were not happy with that. I have informed the cleaners and they will now use a different cleaning product. We have very good relations with the concierge and he is very reactive in sorting out any issues or questions that are quickly resolvable to prevent them from spoiling our guests' holiday. Owen

Great place to stay

Just arrived home after spending 10 days here. A really great place to stay in Calella de Palafrugell. We were traveling as 4 adults and 2 kids (age 4 & 2). The house had everything we needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay. Owen was really helpful & quick to respond during booking process and during our stay. Location is great as only a 10 min walk down to the beach & restaurants. And also a very short drive to main town of Palafrugell where there was great choice of supermarkets. Would definately stay here again if we are back in this area.

Wunderschöner Panoramablick

Schöne Wohnung mit viel Platz und toller Aussicht vom Balkon , der Dachterrasse und aus dem Wohnzimmer. Ferienanlage mit gut gepflegtem Garten, blühenden Blumen, Palmen und großem Pool. Viele Ausflugsziele in der Nähe. Das Zentrum von Calella de Pallafrugell ist fußläufig erreichbar und bietet Strände, gute Restaurants und strahlt viel Charme aus. Schöne Spaziergänge am Meer möglich. Der Vermieter Owen ist sehr freundlich und hat direkt auf alle Fragen geantwortet . Alles verlief komplikationslos. Wir hatten eine wunderbare Ferienwoche! Just what a holiday should be ...

Wow. A welcoming apartment in a truly breathtaking location. I have no hesitation to recommend this apartment. Well maintained, with great facilities and the layout was perfect for both families and friends. The local restaurants provided great service and fresh, good food in amazing settings by the sea. The walks offered beautiful views and provided much needed exercise after regular visits to the restaurants! We are definitely going back to sample more!

Great apartment in a nice location

We had a great stay at Owen's! Being two families with 4 adults and 5 children we had no problems in the spacious apartment. It had all we needed and was well equipped. Only thing to consider are the number of stairs. It gives a great view, but not suited for people with disabilities. Owen was very responsive and helped as with anything we needed. Thank you for a great stay and our kids already want to go back!

Wonderful apartment in our favourite part of Spain

Overall, this property is extremely spacious, very well equipped, clean, tastefully decorated and the views are wonderful. It is in a peaceful setting with beautifully maintained grounds and a large pool that we often had to ourselves. The terraces are an ideal place to chill and the roof terrace has sun for most of the day. Idyllic to sit and look at the fabulous views with a g & t. It's about 15 -20 mins walk down to the coastal village. Calella de palafrugel itself is very picturesque and unspoilt with many excellent restaurants to choose from. Coastal walk to Llafranc is an easy stroll and the botanical gardens of Cap Roig are also within walking distance. Also worth walking into Palafrugel for a mooch, particularly on market days. Barcelona is only 1.5 hrs drive so is doable for a day or night. The apartment is excellent value and comes highly recommended. When we are next visiting the area we would certainly try to rebook this property. Thankyou Owen and Maria for letting us share your gorgeous holiday home.

Lovely apartment, highly recommended

We were a family of eight, four adults and four children ranging from 3 to 68 years, this apartment suited all our needs we loved it. It is spacious, light and airy, beautiful views, well appointed and equipped, clean and as described. The owner was easy to communicate with and very helpful. I would definitely recommend the apartment and be happy to return. We enjoyed many relaxed meals on the balcony with it's beautiful views. The pool area was perfect with a mixture of Spanish, English and French families. It was an easy walk into Port Bo which is the beach we like to use with lots of rocks and rock pools for the children to climb and explore. There are many small restaurants which are delightful and serve excellent food. You can sit and have an evening meal and drink and be able to keep an eye on the children while they play on the beach (many families do this), it is so friendly. This was the third time we have been to Calella de Palafrugel, we love it and this was the best apartment we have rented.

Great family holiday in a lovely apartment

We were very comfortable in this apartment, which had everything that we needed. The balcony view was splendid and we enjoyed many meals and evenings there. A good base to drive to various beaches and other places of interest, as well as simply enjoy the pool and other facilities in the complex. Many thanks for letting us stay. Recommended.

Lovely 4 bedroom duplex

Apartment had lots of space with all you need ie wifi, washer, dryer, tv, two terraces where we had dinner a lot, It was great to have off road parking too. The pool was never overly busy so was very relaxing. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. It's a short walk into town where there are numerous restaurants to choose from. We used the local Spar for our shopping but the bigger supermarkets in Palafrugell are a lot cheaper if this a concern. The Sunday market in Palafrugell is worth a trip as you can sit in the square and watch the world go by when you've finished shopping. We also visited Cap Roig gardens, and Salvador Dali wife's house in Pubol which is definitely a good day out. We stopped for lunch in Bisbal on the way home as they had lovely ceramic shops to mooch around in. We took a day trip to Palamos too which is good for present shopping. Think you need a car here if you're staying for longer than a week as could get a little samey. The sangria in the restaurants cost 14 Euros ( a little steep) but we soon discovered the local bottles in the supermarket for around 2 Euros, it's lovely mixed with the local Prosecco or cava. This apartment is as described and Owen was a pleasure to deal with and efficient with the paperwork. We stayed for 12 days and the weather was beautiful. The area is very Spanish and not a lot of English is spoken but we had no difficulties as a result of this, there were Germans, Spanish and several French families when we were there. The apartments were very quiet in the evening and had no issues with noise.

Beautiful view

We had a great holiday here. The town is beautiful, lovely beaches and great restaurants. The apartment is spacious and clean stunning view from the top terrace. Pool great and was never too busy, it's about a 20 min walk to the town and a bit hilly in some places but didn't cause us any problems.

We like Calella because of its genuine Spanish and family atmosphere. We can combine a spacious apartment, a super pool and gardens where the children can safely meet and play with others and we are very close to the beach and sea front. However just as important for us is the beautiful green countryside just behind the property through which we run and cycle (without hills) - often to other beaches down the coast. The nearby town of Palafrugell has a traditional atmosphere and has great town square and daily market with fantastic vegetables and fish.
