Newly Renovated Cozy Cottage In Family Friendly Community

Mozart's Retreat is centrally located to enjoy all of the excellent Bethany West community amenities including two swimming pools, tennis courts, basketball court, club house and fitness center. Golf is available nearby.

Mozart's Retreat is an easy bike or trolley ride to one of the most beautiful Atlantic Ocean beaches. Mozart's Retreat is nicely furnished and provisioned with a new kitchen (including dishwasher) and new living room furniture. The living room, kitchen, and dining area open to one another off a screen porch that offers cool ocean breezes and an additional dining area.

The Master Bedroom has a king bed, the second bedroom has a queen bed, the third bedroom has a full size bed and the fourth bedroom has a set of bunk beds w/ twin top & full bottom. Hall bath has a tub and shower and the Master Bath has a full size shower. There is also an outdoor shower with hot water. Mozart's Retreat has WiFi . The property is centrally air conditioned. Rental is from Saturday to Saturday. Check-In Time: 3:00 PM Check-Out Time 10:00 AM. ***Linens must provided by the tenant***

Cozy, clean & great location!

Great place to relax and enjoy Bethany. We could walk or bike to just about everything. Watched fireworks from the church across the street from the neighbor hood so no crowds. House had everything we needed.

We thoroughly loved the screened in porch. The neighborhood where the property is located was very quiet and relaxing. The large trees that surround the property provided wonderful shade during an unusual heat wave.

Adorable beach cottage

We had a lovely stay! Nicely appointed property - well kept and immaculate. We didnā€™t use the beach trikes but they are a cool addition. King mattress very comfy. Bethany West is a quiet neighborhood with all the amenities. The cottage is small - but cozy. I was there with four children ages 8-18 and we did fine.

Nice House

This was a good house, it was nicely renovated. The bathrooms were good, beds comfortable and everything was in great shape. I wish it had a grill brush but that was the only thing missing. We also had a bit of a challenge with the light switches on the kitchen light over the island but we figured it out.

Basic Rental Property

Stayed for a week at this property. The description is fairly accurate, but the pictures make it look bigger than it actually is. There are four small bedrooms with very basic mattresses. The combined kitchen/living area is also quite small. Bikes were mentioned in one of our communications, but they are actually adult tricycles. Also, no beach chairs are provided. Pros: Quiet street, cleanliness, large front porch and deck, Bethany Beach parking pass Cons: inadequate kitchen seating (no table provided), no blankets/comforters on beds, shades on windows are not wide enough (2" gap on sides) and no curtain/shade in living area This property is pretty much par for the course for the community of Bethany West (except for the lack of bedding provided).

Looks can be deceiving...

We booked this home thinking it would be just the right size for our family. We love Bethany and have been visiting for over 10 years. Unfortunately, the bedroom with the bunk beds had a very strong and horrible odor similar to cat urine which, caused us to be short 3 sleeping spaces for the entire week. The owner did send someone to clean the carpets but, it didn't help. On top of that disaster the rest of the house was filthy when we arrived. The hall bathroom was full of sand and other peoples hair, the living room furniture was stained, the carpets were all dirty and after mopping the kitchen floor myself 4 times I decided to just clean everything in the kitchen which, had crumbs all over the counters. I tried cleaning the tablecloth in the kitchen area and when I lifted it up I found black mold between the tablecloth and the glass table. We couldn't put our baby down on any of the floors with carpet which was difficult as she loves to crawl. We were promised a partial refund which, we never received. The pool does not allow any child who is not potty trained. We were told this after we paid to enter. So, if you're looking for something clean and friendly for young families don't stay here.

Some notes to share

We had a wonderful vacation at your beach cottage. It was a perfect size for my family. I wanted to share the following with you. Immediately upon arrival we realized there were no blankets supplied in this home. Your description of the property tells us to bring sheets but did not mention any other bedding. We did love the pillows however and we thank you for that. We went out and bought blankets so that we could be warm at night. This was an expense that we did not anticipate but Iā€™m willing to overlook since it was such a nice home. The ceiling light in the ceiling fan does not work. I found no instructions on how to activate it if it did work. We also found that there was not enough storage in the kitchen for our food that we purchased. All the cabinets were full of dishes and numerous frying pans. Not sure why one needs for different size frying pans but to meet you soon. We ended up using our storage packing containers to keep our dry goods in. We were happy to see that a grill was available for us however unhappy that it was so dirty upon arrival. The grease was built up and the propane tank was almost empty. After speaking with you we did fill the propane tank up and clean the grill. We did not mind eating on the porch even though it was quite hot, but we found the chairs were seated too low to the table and it made it difficult to be comfortable when eating. It was almost impossible for our young children to sit in the chairs. In regards to things that need to be fixed we saw that the closet door in the primary bedroom was removed and was placed in the closet of another bedroom. I am not sure if you were aware of that or not. Also the toilet paper holder in the primary bathroom was not working correctly. Once again we enjoyed our vacation but I am supplying these comments to help you in the future with your rentals. These type of issues sometimes go unnoticed or unreported and Iā€™m sure you want to keep your property as nice as possible.

I feel that the pictures listed were taken to make the place look bigger then it truly is.

Kitchen had minimal space. Hard to prep and cook. All bedrooms small except master and one considered a bedroom had no closet so truly not a bedroom. I understand you have to being your own linens but I have never rented a place that only had mattress covers in all bedrooms . No comforters or blankets . Master bedroom closet door broke the minute we opened it. If not for family that live at the beach we would of had only sheets on beds. Would never rent again should have been much nicer for the price . Did have a very nice screened in porch thank god because thatā€™s is were you had to eat dinners.

Comfortable

Home is clean and comfortable in a walkable family neighborhood. My husband and I like to walk in the morning and this location was perfect for that. Home is close to the beach and boardwalk. For a nominal fee, there are two community pools if you want a break from the beach. Me and my family had a very relaxing stay.

Bethany Beach Retreat

This rental was perfect for our family of 5. The house was well equipped and clean. The kitchen had all you needed for cooking in and the grill was useful as well. We spent a lot of time relaxing on the screened in porch and the wrap around deck was another great space as well. The outside shower was great for cleaning up after a day on the beach. This is a quiet neighborhood located close to the beach, shops and restaurants in Bethany. The parking pass that was provided was a helpful additional perk! The owner was wonderful in communicating helpful information about the house prior to our stay. I would definitely recommend this house to others and look forward to booking it for future beach vacations!

Cute and convenient place to stay at Bethany Beach

The house was clean, had everything we needed and the location was convenient. It was an extra bonus from other places we stayed to have the bikes, boards, coolers and chairs! Beds were comfy, appliances worked great and we spent a lot of time on the screened porch(nice big table). Neighborhood is quite and the trolley goes through if you want to ride. It was shortly after labor day when we went so we always had an easy time finding parking with the resident pass(another great bonus). Communicated so.e with the owner before and he was very helpful. It could use a few updates, but it never bothered us! It's no luxury resort but if you are looking for a quaint, clean and convenient beach cottage this is perfect!

Summer Vacation 2019!!

This was our first time visiting Delaware. We were so happy with the location of this home. It is situated close to everything and the local trolley into town was a great bonus. The neighborhood was quiet and we found the residents to be very friendly. The home fit the needs of our family, the outdoor shower was terrific as we never used the showers inside the home and it kept the sand outside where it belonged. The front screened the porch was great for all our meals and hanging out. We had a lovely time! Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to stay in your home.

We love it here!

This was our second summer spending time in this home! I have a hard time sleeping in another bed and I can actually sleep well in the king bed. My parents come and stay a few nights with us and there are no steps in the house, just getting a few into the home, which is a bonus because they canā€™t do stairs well. We love the openness and our toddler enjoys eating breakfast on the screen porch. The coffee table sits up higher than the average table and itā€™s the perfect height our gal loves it to color or play her dolls on. Bonus is having a washer/dryer. The owners added more upgrades this season, beautiful side deck, outside shower and a bright paint job! We look forward to more summers in this home. We also frequent the neighborhood pool which is very clean. Another bonus is the provided parking pass they supply.

This sweet little house made our vacation to Bethany a perfect one!

Our family definitely enjoyed this sweet and newly painted cozy cottage. Our favorite feature was the outdoor shower on the new side deck. The Master bedroom was welcoming and definitely provided the beach feel we were looking for. The screened in front porch was lovely for enjoying morning coffee and eating dinner. The space was perfect for my family of four and my brothers family as well. We also enjoyed the ease of transportation with the trolley ride to Bethany Beach, which was only a quarter per ride. My son, brother and niece also enjoyed using the bikes provided by the homeowner. The pool and community center with tennis courts and gym were located within walking distance.

Responsive Hosts

We enjoyed the home and you can tell the owners are putting a lot of work into the property. We had an issue with the hot water heater during the evening, and Michael had someone there early the next morning to fix the issue. He even followed up after the fact to ensure we had a great stay.
