Villa Zannetina comprises living room, dining room, fully equipped open kitchen.A twin bedded room with en suite bathroom is located on the ground floor. First floor offers a double bedded room with bathroom also en suite with balcony access to two sides with seating areas. Terracing leading down to secluded pool area with outside kitchen and BBQ. The garden has mature trees, shrubs and climbers with dining and seating area. Compared to many other villas Zannetina is easily accessible with a car parking at the gate. Since the villa is located on a ridge it has magnificent views on all sides and always a breath of air. The front view overlooks Loutraki port and the Aegean Sea towards Skiathos and the mainland. It is situated midway between Loutraki and Glossa (2,5 km) with restaurants, bars,bakeries, shops and small supermarkets. At the back of the villa starts a foot-path leading among others to Glossa and Palio Klima. Down at the road at 100meters is a bus stop of the Loutraki-Skopelos bus. Loutraki has beaches. Other beaches ( Kastani, Milia, others) can be reached by bus or car. A very friendly Greek couple,Christos and Despina,speaking fairly well English, will collect you from the ferry in Loutraki, install you in the villa and answer all your questions.

Very pleasant villa, good size, a peaceful break

Very pleasant villa, good size, a peaceful break. The villa is in a quiet location a short (but rather tricky!) walk to Glossa town. The pool is a good size for a family of four. In general the villa is of high specification.

Stewart, one can take the normal road to Glossa, nobody is obliged to take the sportive donkey path. I, with my 72 years, love to take it in the early morning to fetch fresh bread and croissants at Kira Lenny’s bakery in Glossa and enjoy the views and the vegetation along the path.

Wonderful villa

The villa was everything we hoped for. The photos did not do the villa justice. It was a lovely place to stay, with spectacular views. We enjoyed walking up the hill to Glossa for fresh bread in the mornings. The villa was spotlessly clean. The fittings were first class. The ensuite bathroom was stylish and contemporary. The pool was a delight to relax in and around. The villa was well thought out with various places to sit and eat whilst being sheltered from the sun. Christos, who looks after the villa, was charming and helpful whilst unobtrusive. The best villa we have stayed in the Med.

We really enjoyed our stay at this house.Strengths:Location and view (10/10): the property is in a spectacular position, offering a beautiful view over both Porto Loutraki and Skiathos. Truly outstanding. We also appreciated the absence of insects, even during the night, which is quite rare and very pleasant.Local support (10/10): a special thanks to Cristhos, who was always caring, kind, and extremely quick to assist. We had a small flooding issue in the bathroom and he solved it immediately with great professionalism.Areas for improvement:Toilet paper management (5/10): not being able to flush toilet paper is inconvenient and uncomfortable. Having to use dedicated bins reduces the overall comfort of the stay.Overall, our experience was very positive. The house is truly worth it for its unique location and the excellent local support. With an improvement in the bathroom facilities, it would be absolutely perfect.

Thanks very much for your review Fabio. As regards toilet paper we have, as most private Greek houses, a septic tank since there is no sewer system. That means that one cannot flush paper. I agree it is inconvenient but I am afraid that you will find the same situation in most Greek houses.

Lovely spacious villa with gorgeous views

This is a super lovely villa! Really spacious inside and out with several balconies and verandas and a really well kept, good sized pool. Views from everywhere inside and outside are stunning. Very comfortable and clean and well equipped (dishwasher, washing machine, coffee maker, good kitchen utensils, TV with European channels and Netflix etc). We were very well looked after by Hermann (host) and Christos (manager). Great location. Skopelos is a lovely island and the villa is a few minutes' walk both down to Loutraki (small port, beach, boat hire, nice restaurants) and up to Glossa (attractive hilltop village, superb views, butcher, baker, nice restaurants). Boats go a few times a day from Loutraki to Skiathos and you can hire a water taxi which is fun, Buses run about four times a day from Loutraki via Glossa to the main beaches and on to Skopelos town (takes an hour). Really lovely countryside around, with great walks, bike routes and scenic drives. Definitely recommend and would love to return!

Beautiful villa with spectacular views - highly recommended!

Our family of 4 (2 adults, two teenage children) stayed here for 10 days and had an absolutely amazing time. The Villa is really well equipped with all you need for a comfortable stay. We ate out and also bbq’d a few nights. There’s an excellent butchers in Glossa for very good quality meat. The views from all terraces were absolutely stunning and had that real ‘wow’ factor- felt very lucky with how well the Villa was located. Christos and Despina were lovely and super helpful whenever needed and recommended some perfect places to visit and eat. Definitely recommend having a car for the duration of your stay so you can visit all the lovely sights and beaches. Skopelos was a perfect balance of activity and relaxation with more than enough to do for 10 days. The island isn’t as crowded as many other Greek islands and remains quite unspoilt. We hired a car from Dream cars in Loutraki who we’d recommend and also boat for 2 days from Axis boat rental (also from Loutraki port) - they were super helpful too & having never driven one before they gave us a lesson before sending us out. This was one of the real highlights of our stay. For a special meal and fantastic views would highly recommend Agnanti in Glossa - amazing menu and service. All in all one of our favourite holidays yet!

Wir haben 10 fantastische Tage in Haus verbracht. Die Einrichtung lässt keine Wünsche offen. Es gibt spektakuläre Sonnenuntergänge zu betrachten. Supermärkte und Restaurants gibt es im Umkreis von 20 Gehminuten (die aber schweißtreibend sein können ). Auch zu einer Badestelle im Meer ist es nicht weit. Wir waren begeistert.

Perfect house - perfect holidays

Nous avons passé 10 jours à Skopelos et avons bien profité des plages et de la piscine . La maison est très bien équipée et très bien agencée. Nous nous y sentions très bien en famille, et la vue avec le couché de soleil chaque soir est en réel plaisir. Merci à Christo et Herman pour leur disponibilité et gentillesse.

Blissful return to Skopelos

We were delighted to return to Skopelos and to the wonderful villa. Everything was perfect and even better than we had remembered it. The house is immaculately looked after by the owners, and by Christos locally. We had an unforgettable week, were very sad to leave and can't wait to return. Thank you for our wonderful stay.

Maison très agréable et bien équipée

Un immense merci à Herman pour sa disponibilité et la fluidité de nos échanges avant notre arrivée. Un autre merci du fond du cœur pour Christo et Despina pour leur gentillesse, leur présence, leur efficacité et leur discrétion. Grâce à eux le séjour est doux et sans souci. La maison est très agréable, bien située, très propre, très confortable et très bien équipée. La piscine est sécurisée et entretenue tous les deux jours. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour avec nos deux jeunes enfants et espérons revenir l’année prochaine.

From first booking to departing the service provided was exceptional. The villa and its location are fantastic and it’s one of the best places we have stayed in Greece. We would highly recommend anyone to stay if they are in need of peace and quiet & relaxation .

Lovely villa with beautiful views

The villa had everything that we needed, was very comfortable and extremely clean. The views over the Aegean towards Skiathos were stunning and serene. The villa was in a very peaceful location, and although it looks down on the main road into Loutraki Port there were very few vehicles, so we weren't disturbed. The nearby hill village of Glossa has some good places to eat, although limited, but that was part of it's old village charm. Glossa has a well stocked supermarket, bakery and butchers. We hired a car during our stay which was convenient to explore the island, so cannot comment on local transport. We had a very relaxing ten days at this villa and would not hesitate to return.

Wonderful Wonderful Week! ευχαριστώ Hermanus!

So first time to Greece, and fell completely in love with Skopelos! The Villa was perfect for my teenage daughter and I, all modern amenities, lovely accommodation, awesome views and we were looked after beautifully by Christos and Despina from the time Christos picked us up from the Ferry, until when we left. The location is good, you can walk down to Port Loutraki, but you absolutely need a hire car to explore the rest of the Island. The car park is a little steep, but manageable! Wonderful restaurants in both the Port and in Glossa, which is a bit of a hidden gem! We explored the beaches all over the island, and booked a wonderful boat trip one day out of Skopelos which is a gorgeous little town in itself. Yes the Mama Mia sites were brilliant too, but it was the friendliness of the people everywhere and the magic of this little island that have left us wanting more. Totally recommend both the villa and the location.

Stunning views from this great villa

Fabulous two weeks at this villa in August. Great location, just between Loutraki and Glossa. We had a car, which I'd recommend, but you can walk to the local villages (steep slopes though) and there is a bus stop at the end of the driveway. Stunning views over the Aegean to Skiathos, with amazing sunsets each night from the balconies. Bedrooms had good air conditioning, great showers, comfortable beds with plenty of storage. The housekeeping service was very efficientand discrete, but also very friendly and helpful in times of need. Lovely pool which was regularly cleaned, plenty of chairs and sun loungers, and lots of areas of shade for the hotter parts of the day. Very well equipped with everything we needed, nice to have quality appliances etc.. We loved being at the top of the island (away from the main Skoplelos town), it felt "Greek" rather than touristy. It was a grea location to to be able to get to lots of different beaches etc..Everyone very friendly, with lovely restaurants, a bakery and supermarket a few minutes away in the car. Choice of restaurants more limited than had we been in Skopelos Town, but not a problem at all.

Excellent villa, beautiful location.

We had a lovely week in July 2015, at villa Zannetina. A wonderful house on the hill overlooking the harbour of Loutraki, and the sea to Skiathos as far as Evia. Daylight lazy mornings and get ready for evenings were colours change constantly infront of your eyes. A comfortable two bedroom, two bathroom, open fully equiped kitchen area, plus a pristine swimming pool. While the swimming pool comes in handy, you can choose to visit one of the many beautiful beaches that are in close proximity to the Villa. To my relief the wi-fi never betrayed us. Finally, the breathtaking veranda of the master bedroom is the highlight of the house. In the shade of two palm trees we had festive late lunches enjoying the sea view refreshed by the mountain breeze on our back. Will we go back? Definitely!

Best equipped villa!

Loved the villa. Fantastic views over loutraki port. Great pool. Very comfortable beds, very clean and the best equipped villa we have ever stayed in! Felt very safe and secure. Wonderful balconies. There are eateries within walking distance and the nearest is the best on Skopelos just a few minutes down from the villa. However, the road is quite steep! The buses seemed very regular, although we decided to rent a car through Christos, who looks after the villa, so we could see the island. The villages of Loutraki and Glossa are close by with a number of restaurants and shops, most of which were very good. The locals all seemed very friendly and helpful. The area where the villa is situated is nice and quiet. Within half an hour's drive you can be in Skopolos Town where there are many restaurants and shops. The only thing we didn't like were the wasps but these are all over and we did what the locals do and burnt some Greek coffee to keep them at bay. If you go be careful who you fly with. We went with Thomas Cook and the flight was cancelled and we had a 36 hour plus delay and had to travel the whole of Greece and UK to get home, quite an ordeal, but other tour operators seem ok. All in all a lovely relaxing break and would recommend this villa.

Very happy with the review! As regards the wasps, as anywhere else the problem is seasonal and depends on spring climate conditions. Last year no wasps! If present it is a general problem on the island and I suppose all over Greece. The villa itself has mosquito nets on all doors and windows. I will put some simple traps to free also the outside area as much as possible. As regards the experience with Thomas Cook, this is beyond my control....

We, my wife and myself, fell in love with the beautiful island of Skopelos where we bought this property to enjoy after retirement the spectacular views on the Aegean sea,the sun, the beautiful landscape. Since we have other social & family obligations we intend to use the villa more in spring and autumn. Since we are fortunate in having a very nice Greek family to look after the house and take care of guests we decided to rent it out during the summer. Look forward to your arrival. I consider the panoramic view of the Aegean sea towards the mainland of Greece one of the best I have ever seen. It includes a view of the small port of Loutraki where in the evening small boats leave to fish off shore with the help of small lights. The daily sunsets are spectacular. Access to the property is easy since a car can be parked in front of the gate.
