The cottage has character and charm and is set in the picturesque Devon countryside. It is peaceful and quiet with views from the land across open countryside. Dartmoor and Exmoor are easily accessible as are the North Devon beaches of Instow, Braunton, Saunton Sands, Ilfracombe and Woolacombe. Cyclists and walkers can also enjoy the nearby Tarka Trail which runs along a disused railway line. Great Torrington is the nearest town (about 15 minute drive) which has supermarkets, pubs and restaurants. The larger towns of Bideford and Barnstaple are about 30 minutes drive away. The RHS gardens at Rosemoor are closeby. The New Inn at Roborough is the nearest pub (5minute drive) serving local beers and food. The holiday cottage is thought to be about 200 years old. It is joined to our own property and has it's own entrance. You will have exclusive use of a garden area to the front and access to the five acres of pasture and woodland and look over our wildlife pond. You can have a barbecue or sit around a campfire in the woods. The cottage has a wood burning stove for chilly evenings along with air source heat pump central heating. Electricity produced by solar panels heats the water during the summer peiod. Superfast fibre broadband is available for you to use. The cottage is a perfect base for your holiday in stunning North Devon

Lovely cottage perfect for getting away from it all, either with kids or dogs the grounds are amazing to explore. Lynda was very accommodating and always on hand to help with anything but respects your privacy also. The cottage was spacious and full of character just perfect and very reasonable price for the summer hols. Had everything we needed.Only negative if any was the location it is quite a drive to the coast and nothing much locally to do but perfect for walking and enjoying the countyside if that’s what you want. Definitely recommend No Place.

Very pleasant stay and Lynda was a great host. Highly recommend this lovely cottage - clean and comfortable in very nice setting, with a lovely garden and woods. Our kids especially enjoyed it. Lots to see and do in the nearby area - we visited Westward Ho! for surfing lessons at easter time, brisk but fun!

Our stay was nothing but perfect - from the welcome bundle of crisps and local cider to kids' games, comfort of all the beds and the picturesque grounds that we got to enjoy every day as part of our rental. The hosts were non intrusive hit easily contactable should we need anything before or during our stay. The grounds were kept exceptional as was the cottage (aside from a few places where dust had settled e.g. in cupboards but that was very very minor). Highly recommend and the area of course is so tranquil yet easily accessible to nature filled places and adventure parks for the little ones. Thank you!

Accommodation was ok, it could do with a bit of updating decor wise. You will definitely need a car to get around as it is quite remote. Hosts were very responsive when we asked them about the heating which they had to adjust for us as there was no way of controlling it ourselves. Towels definitely need an upgrade. Very pet friendly.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry about the heating but we were caught out by an unseasonably chilly evening, with our air source heat pump. The log burner was there to boost the temperature, if needed. The cottage is regularly updated and the bedroom and bathroom were decorated over the 2025 winter.

Lovely comfortable space, in a remote area but within easy driving reach of shops and pubs. Fast internet and good WiFi signal, and a large Smart TV with DVD player. Spacious grounds with peaceful places to sit and enjoy the view. Excellent communication from the hosts before and during the stay

Just got back from a lovely peaceful trip, the cottage had everything we needed, beds were really comfy and great quality. The hosts were friendly, had some great recommendations and were there if needed. We felt very welcome to explore the grounds, the gardens were beautiful and every corner there was something to see, like a ‘Secret Garden’, me and my Lab had big smiles on our faces exploring, especially the meadow. Hope to visit again, thanks for hosting us xxx

Beautiful cottage, with super lovely garden/grounds - woodland walk, tree house and other walks right on the doorstep. The cottage is spacious with a triple room downstairs and a bathroom/double bedroom upstairs. The upstairs bedroom has good blackout blinds and there was plenty of storage space, and room for travel cot if required. There is a comfy sofa, dining room table and TV with good internet connection.There is an undercover fridge with small freezer built in, along with a washing machine and even a bottle cooler.There is a storage box in the porch full of kids board games and bats /balls. The garden is at the front of the property (along with parking), and is enclosed with some big gates. We had a dog that doesn't mix well with other dogs/people and Lynda made sure to keep their dogs in a separate part of the property. Access to the property for deliveries/visitors is through the enclosed area.The cottage is located around 30 minutes from the beach- we found Westward Ho! the most accessible for our elderly dog. Nearby we highly recommend the The Old Farmhouse Kitchen and Tearoom for a wonderful afternoon tea.The cottage is an excellent price.We really enjoyed our stay and were sad to have to leave early due to a medical issue. Thanks so much for having us to stay!

Fantastic family holiday

Lovely well equipped rural cottage within day trip distance of Exmoor, Dartmoor and beautiful Devon beaches. We also really enjoyed biking the Tarka trail. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely quiet weekend

We had a lovely peaceful weekend away here. Lynda was very welcoming even though we arrived 5 hours late due to motorway closure. Nice secluded woodland for the dogs to roam about in. Well equipped cottage and comfortable beds which is always a bonus.

A perfect walking week

Comfortable and homely rental to base ourselves from for a week exploring North Devon and the South West Coastal path. Beautiful garden, peaceful location. Lynda, our host, couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating.

A most comfortable and delightful cottage in peaceful surroundings and only 10 minutes from Great Torrington. This is a good place from which to explore North Devon and lovely to return to each day. It has all you need and is well looked after. Thank you!

Great short stay

The house was clean and fully equipped. It was a bit on the chilly side in early April, but we lit the fire a couple of times which really helped to warm the cottage up. The owners were really helpful, friendly and accommodating, and it was reassuring they were just next door to assist with anything. We had a great few days exploring the coast mainly and the cottage was a fantastic base for us!

Great cottage; really quiet location; woodland and meadow lovely to walk through; v dog friendly; liked the fact that owners have made conscious eco effort throughout; nice touch with Welcome treats on arrival. Would highly recommend.

So relaxing

No Place really is like no other place! Surrounded by beautiful countryside and so very quiet and peaceful. Great touristy spots within driving distance, eg Bideford, Barnstaple, Woolacombe and Ilfracombe. Would recommend one of the local pubs, The Globe Inn, at Beaford too - great food! We hope to visit No Place again.

Fabulous quiet location close to Devon beaches and excellent pub. Perfect place for family get away.

Lynda gave a warm welcome. The cottage is beautifully appointed. Very comfy bed and well equipped. We appreciated the Devon scones on arrival . We had free use of the garden and access to the grounds which were lovely with gorgeous countryside views. Enjoyed local pubs and Tarka pottery . Highly recommend. Many thanks .

Fabulous cottage in a stunning location

My family and I had a wonderful time during our stay. Upon arrival we were stunned by the setting which included woodland, a wild flower meadow and a tranquil pond teeming with wildlife - perfect for spending some quality time as a family. The cottage is well equipped, clean and cosy. A real home from home. Lynda made us feel immediately welcome and recommended some local highlights to visit including some stunning beaches and scenic walks. I can't recommend the cottage, or the hosts, highly enough.

My husband and I live in rural Devon with our pet dogs and cats. We moved here in 2013 as our own 'escape to the country'. We love the beautiful English countryside, the seclusion and the friendly locals. After holidaying in Devon for many years, this was our favourite area and where we chose to settle.
