My family of 5 greatly enjoyed staying at this beautiful home. Jim went communicated well prior to our arrival. I appreciated the local contact Steve ensuring our family had what we needed while staying there. They even went above and beyond installing a new oven so we could cook during Thanksgiving week.The home sits directly across from the Mission Trail Nature Preserve. My husband and son enjoyed exploring the trails several days during our time there. It connects to downtown Carmel, which is a wonderful place to eat, shop or just relax. The local library gave my daughter a card so she was able to check out books during our stay. And Carmel beach was one of our favorite evening hangouts to watch the beautiful sunsets.I cannot say enough about this home and location. If you get the chance to visit Carmel, I'd highly recommend staying here. It's close to everything you'd want or need, and it truly felt like home away from home for us.

Carmel by the Sea

Manager was easy to talk to and check in process was great. The home was perfect and was in a very safe neighborhood. Back patio had a great view of the trees and the sea. Very peaceful and quiet. Location was very close to shopping and Refuge where we had massages. I would definitely recommend this place! Our family had a wonderful time and enjoyed the home.

Cozy, near trails, big fenced yard

We loved this location with the nature preserve across the street on a quiet cul-de-sac. Big fenced yard for kids or dogs. Comfy beds, living room, and outdoor chairs. Kitchen with nice glassware, real knives...more like people live here, less like a hotel. Original local landscape paintings abound. A whole functioning household--just great for our holiday week. Great location, nice owners and manager.

This is an older house up on the hill with good views. It is walkable to downtown if you don't mind some hills. It backs a park area with a trailhead across the street. We found our stay very comfortable and the house to be as described. It was a quiet comfortable stay for our long weekend get away.

Lovely home!

We stayed 4 nights in this super comfy home located in Carmel by the Sea. The convenience of being less than 10 min to downtown with all of its amazing restaurants and shops was amazing. The home was very clean, beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked. The Property Manager, Steve, was wonderful. He gave us a quick tour upon arrival and was easy to reach with questions. We will definitely book this home again!

For us, the location was fabulous. It overlooks the Mission Preserve and the trail network allowed us to walk into downtown shopping and restaurants, Carmel Beach, and the Mission Church. It also offers quick access to Hy. 1 for all the other sights you want to visit. Very comfortable with three good-sized bedrooms, plenty of hot water, and enclosed patio and yard areas where our dog could play.

Clean, quiet, good condition at the end of a cul-de-sac. Three of us had intermittent difficulty with wifi and none of us could get T-Mobile cellular coverage. Could us a full length mirror. Could also use separate containers for organic v recycle v garbage. Enjoyed our stay and would consider staying there again.

Lovely neighborhood with trail head across the street. Quiet, could hear the ocean. The view was fabulous. House has plenty of room, very comfortable with lots of beautiful artwork. Large, fun kitchen which we enjoyed, as well as a beautiful gas grill on the deck. Plenty of parking. The backyard has lots of hummingbirds. A few minor issues, but nothing to keep us from returning. We were very pleased with the property.

This property has so much potential. The place is falling apart. Doors donā€™t close all the way, handle on shower door falls off and wonā€™t stay closed. Wall plaster cracked and falling apart inside and out. We were only able to use the TV in living room. Extremely dated and way to much personal stuff everywhere.

Great Location But Some Issues Overall

Upon arrival, we were immediately informed that there was an issue with the WIFI. As a result, there was no internet for the first evening and it took multiple phone calls between ourselves, the owner and Xfinity on day 2 to eventually resolve. The resolution required us to drive to the nearest Xfinity store, pick up a new modem/router and then self install. The house generally felt like it wasn't quite ready for occupancy. Examples included all of the TVs not being plugged in or set up in any way, smaller appliances like the coffee maker and toaster being hidden away in cabinets and an additional fridge in the laundry room being winterized, no propane for the gas grill and, finally, the outside trash bin was full to the brim. There were some innacuracies in the listing overall: 1. As a result of the WIFI issues, the listed Apple Airport didnt work resulting in very limited range from the new router. 2. There wasn't true cable/satellite. There was Samsung smart tv channels available and the main tv had other streaming Apps available for us to use our own accts, but there wasn't actual cable/satellite with HBO. 3. No HD tv in the master and the ones in the other room weren't set up or even plugged in. That said, the house was very comfortable, affordable, in a great location to walk to downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea and pet friendly, a huge plus for us. Finally, the owner did his best to fix the WIFI and it was fixed within a day. With a little TLC, it could really shine.

An Amazing Place!

Wowza! The property is exactly as described and more. Oh, so much more. You literally back up into the mission trails, which take you right into the center of downtown Carmel. A 10 minute walk to the farmers market on Thursday and maybe 15 minute walk to the beach. The home is lovely and super private. Well equipped and cared for. Original art throughout and a view of Monterey bay from the living room. Honestly, I can't say enough!

Anne and Jim live in Oklahoma and own businesses there.
Jim is a small commercial real estate redeveloper and Anne is the CEO of a measurement related company of 46 years and 90 years respectively. Both Jim and Anne are graduates of Oklahoma State University and Anne received a Phd from Indiana University. We have renovated several houses and apartment buildings along with other commercial properties. Jim is an avid car collector and Anne loves to paint landscapes of the area. We have been coming to Carmel in August for 30 years and truly love the people, activities, and scenery.

We have attempted the purchase of several other houses in the past few years, but nothing came close to our expectations as this house did. It was only on the market 12 days, when we came to town to look at another house. To us, the view, serenity and spacious lot are everything. Durning our 25 years of coming and looking we never knew this beautiful street existed.

O que faz essa propriedade ser Ćŗnica?

The Seaview location is unique because of its lack of residential density. Carmel--By-The-Sea houses are on tiny lots and close together with little parking. This location is unparalleled and the walk to Ocean Avenue is about 4,000 ft. via the Mission trail system. We look as this house as a blank canvas that we can turn into a magic oasis. We have rented tiny houses for more money only to discover they are on truck routes with bathrooms so small you had to open the shower door to use the toilet. We have paid more for hotels for a one week stay than a month would cost renting a house. This is a truly a unique opportunity to rent one time and get on a recycling schedule. We only need the house in the summer so the rest of the year is wide open.
