Feel your cares and everyday stress melt away as you walk in the door:

Located in Carmel's "Golden Triangle", this vintage beach cottage that has been completely updated and restored to its original 1925 charm. An authentic Murphy-designed cottage on a prime corner lot, this home boasts original clear-heart redwood throughout, a large comfortable living room with bay windows and vaulted ceiling, a river rock fireplace with natural gas, beamed ceilings, flat screen TV with Roku. It's a wonderful place to gather with family and friends.

The kitchen is completely stocked with everything the home cook needs: Bosch dishwasher, garbage disposal, large stainless steel sink, Cuisinart coffee maker,
Cuisinart water boiler, Breville toaster oven, Cuisinart food processor, Kitchen Aid stand mixer, LG refrigerator with ice maker, LG microwave, GE gas stove and oven.

The three bedrooms, with redwood walls hand-stained in a lovely driftwood grey, can sleep a total of five quests:
Bedroom #1 = California king
Bedroom # 2 = California king (can be converted to two XL twins with advanced notice)
Bedroom #3 = brand-new triple bunk bed, size XL twin (our adult son is 6'3" and fits comfortably)

Luxury mattresses, high thread-count bed linens, oh-so comfortable pillows and comforters complete the pampered feeling.

The detached single-car garage has a washer and dryer and ironing board. There is high speed internet throughout the house and outdoor areas.

A 156 step walk brings you to the Carmel beach, a stunning white sand beach and ocean views. When in season, dolphin and humpback whale sightings are frequent from the shoreline. Please check local regulations if you want to have a fire on the beach.

A six block walk north is famed Ocean Avenue with shops and restaurants galore. We are justifiably proud of the great variety of commerce in our little village!

Added bonuses: another few blocks beyond Ocean Avenue is the 10th hole of famed Pebble Beach Golf Course, home of the AT&T Pro AM,. This course is also the home of the annual Concours d'Elegance international car show, making a stay at our home within easy walking distance of these two annual events. And in 2027, the USGA Men's Golf Open will be held here.

A ten minute walk south is the Carmel River State Beach, another pristine white sand beach with a natural lagoon for swimming and lots of pelicans and shore birds.

Perfect location!

The beach is just a block away and we could walk to downtown Carmel in 10 minutes. The house has a nice deck for coffee in the morning and a fireplace in the main living area for relaxing in the evening. I particularly liked the cozy beds. Overall, this house is a very charming and relaxing place.

great vacations

This is a very comfortable,well stocked home in a quiet part of Carmel.An easy walk to both the beach and into town makes this a desirable location. The owners have thought of everything to make a stay most enjoyable, from comfortable beds with fluffy pillows and soft linens, bathrooms with great towels and toiletries and a well stocked kitchen that is a dream to use when cooking in for the evening or anytime. I would come back to this property again.

Ocean's Breathe

It was such a comfortable, well maintained home, we felt so at home within the first day of arriving. The outside is charming but the care that the owners Spent on the inside kept us quite comfortable: well stocked kitchen, new gas stove (we are foodie cooks), high quality linens, gas fireplace, and exceptionally clean. We look forward to coming back.

Amazing beach getaway!

"Ocean's Breath" was truely a home away from home in a charming seaside setting a short walk away from the quaint Main Street in Carmel. Everything is so well organized and the house is equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The renters have made everything so easy and even left a thorough list of things to do in the vicinity and restaurant recommendations. a great location close to eberything you need!My family and I loved it so much we were sad to leave. Thanks for a great stay

A dream beach cottage

We loved staying at Ocean's Breath over Christmas, while we celebrated with our family who live up the hill. A very charming Carmel cottage with all the amenities and supplies for cooking and eating, very well stocked. We loved having a fire and lounging in the living room, walking the 2 minute walk to the beach, and the beds were super comfortable. The furnishings and decor were very tasteful, and it really felt like a welcoming home. We've recommended the cottage to friends heading out there in a few weeks. The owners were readily available for any questions we had. Thanks M & A, for a lovely and relaxing abode near our favorite beach in CA.

The perfect Carmel cottage

We have now stayed at this gorgeous, quaint, charming, and comfortable home four times, and are already counting the days until we return. Everything about it is perfect -- the location (steps to the beach, and a ten minute walk to the main street), the quality of the furnishings and amenities (cozy, stylish, well-appointed, upscale in every way), and the thoughtfulness of the owners (who have really covered off every possibility to ensure that there is nothing one could want). We feel so lucky that we found this home, and have relished every moment we have spent there. It is the perfect jewel box of a Carmel cottage.

Super, Awesome home

This home is absolutely charming. I felt like we had walked into Home and Garden's "Home of the Year". Going forward, I have no interest in staying anywhere else when I come to the Monterey Peninsula! Everything is so lovingly put together and comfortable, we both knew we couldn't have done any better. But it's also nice because everything is either new or perfectly clean. The sheets were so soft and the bed was to die for. We loved being just a block from the beach and found ourselves walking everywhere. It was great having a number of amenities like cable TV in two rooms and a garage. If anyone wants to visit Carmel and stay in paradise, I highly recommend this home.

A lovely respite from busy lives

Every visit to Ocean's Breath is a delightful escape. The perfect place to relax with friends over good meals and long conversations in front of the fire or on the front deck. The kitchen is hands down the best equipped one will find in a vacation rental. Foodies can prepare any meal desired with access to a great stove, oven, stand mixer and large capacity food processor, as well as all size pans and baking dishes. I have enjoyed cooking many a great meal together with friends here. The ocean is a short walk away - so close the waves can lull you to sleep at night. I rarely sleep well away from home, but Ocean's Breath is the exception. The beds are so inviting and cozy. I hate to leave at the end of each visit and always look forward to returning. M & A provide the perfect Carmel experience.
