Bright and open split floor plan, great room with vaulted ceilings. Master bedroom with queen size bed and large closet includes french doors to the screened in lanai and pool overlooking the lake. En suite bath includes large walk in shower, claw foot tub, washer and dryer. Second bedroom with queen bed also has french doors that view the lanai and pool. Third bedroom with twin beds has french doors that open to the living, dining, kitchen area. Furnishings include linens, towels and fully equiped kitchen. Pool can be heated. Gas grill is provided on lanai. Cable and internet are included. Canoe, bicycles, beach chairs and boogie boards are available if desired. Tennis courts are <1 mi., beach, shopping, mall, theater are <5 mi. Pool and lawn service is provided weekly at an agreed upon time.

FL comfortable

This house check marks all water front/pool old FL points.It isnt in the 'populated' areas. However, the boat lauch is 'right there'!! The pool is easy and cared for.Think about visiting your aunts.... not perfect. A little dusty but NOT dirty is any way.You looking to bring clothes, stay, and go.... bring it.The beds are comfortable. The bathrooms are clean.Washer/dryer in mater bath area make everything easy.Joan is super responsive.We brought our dogs. There isnt a fenced yard. We had HALO collars with a learning curve. Joan provided a temp fence. 1 neighbor is great, the other isn't. But hey, cat person not dog.The area is so fun. Are you a GEN X? This is a place to stop, relax, find very laid back, very old school FL bars for some fantastic 45 persons. UBER rodes are affordable because it is all..right here.Day at the beach? Lots of options. Gasparilla island ( toll fee). Manasota beach.... just white sands and beautiful water. An adult playground.Our fave places: 1. PORTSIDE tavern... CHEAP!!! Old school delicious food with old FL bleeding out its ears. Dont gonif you want fancy. 2. ALLSTARS. The 1/2 chicken.. share with abt 2 more people. Mashed potatoes and fries are kicking! The wing sauce is mmmhhhh. Be cautios if you get something with sauce. 3. Codys. BOGO draft beer. The house is perfectly placed location wise.Enjoy the ease of FL....

Relaxing place for a quiet retreat

We live in the Tampa area and booked this location for a family getaway close to home. It is a really good location, in a quiet community, right on the water. The pool was a decent size and seemed well-maintained. It only went up to 6ft deep, which was convenient for us. The kids enjoyed swimming in the pool and fishing from the dock. We caught catfish, snapper, bass, leatherjacket, and sheephead. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. She met up with us when we arrived and showed us the house and how everything works. She also gave us some information on the area. The house was well stocked, including plenty of towels, sunblock, and bug spray. While we had our fishing poles with us, she did have some available as well. There were not a lot of house rules, and checkout was easy. FYI, if you have a boat, you may want to talk to the owner beforehand, as the boat lift was rented out when we were there. It did not matter to us since we did not bring a boat.

Lake view paradise

We absolutely loved this location and home. The view on the lake from the pool lanai is spectacular. House is roomy and comfortable. Neighborhood is great for walking or running or riding bikes. The property owner is great. Convenient location to restaurants, bars, shopping, beaches, fishing. Loved it!

Awesome place!

We had a wonderful experience! Me, my husband and our two small dogs stayed at Joan’s place for about 10 days. It’s a really nice house, clean, comfortable and well equipped. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. The lake in front of the house was beautiful! We loved being able to kayak and enjoyed the fishing there. Joan was nice to work with and provided great restaurant recommendations. Highly recommend this place. Thank you for the hospitality!

Lovely spread on the lake.

My staff had the opportunity to enjoy this beautiful property while on an engagement in Port Charlotte, FL. They were impressed with how peaceful and quiet the neighborhood was as well as how nice the pool and greenscape behind the house leading to the lake. Some of them did not want to leave...but thankfully I was able to wrangle them all up prior to check out...J'K...but it is that type of place that you don't want to leave from. Thanks for the hospitality!

Great experience in Port Charlotte

The property is way nicer then the pictures give it credit for and Joan is just a gem of a host. Prefect place for a family vacation with nice pool and great views overlooking the water from the backyard. Can’t wait to go back.

Wonderful place!!

This home was the perfect place for us to stay for a month and just relax and enjoy the pool, kayaking, bicycling and the beach. The neighbors were friendly as well. A nice quiet neighborhood. The house had everything we needed for cooking, grilling. Joan was close by to help with all our questions and needs. We would highly reccomend this property. We had our doggies too!!

Best way to experience Florida

Beautiful home at a great location. Watching the 4th of July fireworks on the back patio over the water was amazing. Close to everything you'd need to spend a very relaxing vacation. Joan was quick to answer any questions we had. Highly recommended and would definitely stay again!

Great Location

This property is in a great location. It is in a quiet neighborhood. There is easy access to stores and restaurants and Tamiami Trail or the Interstate. The house is well equipped and the view of the water is great. The landlady responded promptly to a few minor issues. The only real issue we had was that the boat lift was rented to someone else. The only reason that caused a little anxiety is we could not tie our boat up to the dock at the dock ladder without blocking the boat lift access. The water can be four feet below the dock at lower tide, so the ladder is a necessity. We have a small folding boat that is not real easy to take in and out of the water, so we normally cable lock the boat to the dock. If you have a canoe or kayak it wouldn't be an issue. There is a very nice roller on the dock that assists with launching and removing small craft, just not our fishing boat with anchors and trolling motor batteries in the boat. In the end, the boat lift was only used once during our stay, and we were out fishing when it was launched. We tied up under the dock ladder, but were ready to move our boat if the lift was used again, but we were not asked to do so.

Great month

We stayed with another couple at this property with our 2 dogs for a month. Can't complain about much of anything - what you see is what you get on the web page. Love the dock and boat lift, pool was fabulous, house was well supplied and Joan was great to deal with. Would definitely come back. I will say the neighbors can't tolerate much with respect to dogs. Dogs barked occasionally and got complaint about it. Oh, well - dogs are dogs, deal with it. It was not an issue for Joan.

Lakefront home with a beautiful view

This home is in the middle of a development but when you're in the back on the lanai, you would think that you're on a beautiful, remote island. What a beautiful view!!! You are treated to spectacular sunsets and dolphins swim by daily. Joan, the owner, was very responsive to all our needs. The house was clean, the kitchen & linen closets were stocked. There were many pool toys, two bikes and a nice place to walk. The house was conveniently located near shopping areas. We loved being there and are looking forward to going back in the future. Great for families, couples and friends! Had a wonderful four week visit.

Great accommodations and close to everything.

We loved this place. My wife, mother (and small dog) and I stayed here for 8 days. The place was well maintained and perfectly located to Punta Gorda, Venice and Ft. Myers which were all destinations for us. Joan met us on day 1 and was available to provide local information as simple as dinner recommendations. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks Joan for the hospitality.

Fabulous location and layout

We woUld definitely come again. The most gracious and accommodating host/owners and we never wanted for anything. Plenty of towels, blankets, dishes and pots and pans. There are even board games, pool noodles and rafts for pool. We enjoyed the pool and view. Very serene and quiet location. Because of their hospitality, I would rent any of their homes.

Great!

My daughter and I could not have found a nicer place to stay in Port Charlotte. The house had everything we could possibly need and the view from the lanai was beautiful. Joan is a wonderful person and even set us up with another neighbor for a boat ride on the harbor. Everything was wonderful!
