Inside, the coastal theme continues with tasteful decor, hardwood floors, elegant columns, and a cathedral ceiling in the formal sitting room. Multiple living spaces ensure comfort and privacy for everyone, with an open floor plan and soft sea-inspired tones throughout. The main floor includes two inviting sitting areas: a casual space with cable TV and a more formal room with a wood-burning fireplace and ample natural light. A third living space in the basement offers a cozy den—perfect for watching sports or Saturday morning cartoons. WiFi is available throughout the home.

The fully equipped kitchen makes meal prep a breeze for multiple cooks, with granite counters, modern appliances, and a large double-door fridge. Kids can enjoy smoothies or snacks at the breakfast bar, while more formal meals—like a lobster dinner—can be served in the dining room. A sunny breakfast nook with bay windows and two outdoor patios (one with a firepit for s’mores) provide plenty of options for dining. The home also includes a laundry room and a seasonal outdoor shower.

Sleeping arrangements are ideal for families and groups: upstairs, you’ll find a king bedroom, queen bedroom, and a third room with two twin beds plus a trundle. The finished basement adds extra space with a queen bed, a double sofa bed, and a twin sofa bed. A dog bed and dishes are provided for your furry friend.

Beach days are easy with extra chairs provided. Short Sands Beach is especially family-friendly, with a playground and the beloved Goldenrod candy shop. Visit in August for York Days, featuring sandcastle contests and a craft fair.

Just a half-mile away, York’s Wild Kingdom offers both a zoo and amusement park. Nearby, visit the iconic Nubble Lighthouse for photos and lunch at Fox’s Lobster House. With comfort, charm, and an unbeatable location, this coastal Maine retreat promises a classic East Coast vacation to remember.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
