Within minutes to the quintessential seaside village known as the "Jewel." The Cottage is close to all major attractions: La Jolla Cove (a world-renowned diving site), the famous children's pool (spot sea lions and seals playing in the water), breath-taking views, miles of beaches, Torrey Pines State Natural reserve, award-winning culinary, and art galleries. The blue door cottage has so much to offer - beautiful art throughout, spacious living room with oversized sofas to relax and rest after a long day of sightseeing, and a large indoor and outdoor dining table (seats 8) to entertain family and friends. Full kitchen with everything you could possibly need. Two secluded outdoor patios with outdoor dining space and lounge chairs to enjoy your morning coffee out in the sunshine. Don’t miss the opportunity to stay at the beautiful, unique “Blue Door Cottage.” A lifetime of memories will be created by staying at this cottage.

Washer and dryer are in the garage, along with boogie boards, a beach umbrella, beach chairs and a cooler. There is a parking space in the driveway on the west side of the house, and plenty of street parking, but you really don't need a car here - the village and all it has to offer is just steps away.

This Cottage is located in a lovely, quiet neighborhood, so please be respectful of the surrounding neighbors. Due to the moderate coastal climate, this house, like the majority of other in the neighborhood, does not have AC.

Thorough deep cleaning and sanitizing between guests and contactless check-in. Perfect for a road trip destination or family getaway!

The good: location, size (4 bed/2 bath), comfortable mattresses/pillows, nice outdoor grill, and on site parking. The ability to walk into downtown La Jolla and to the cove/tide pools was fantastic. The not so good: floors dirty on arrival, no dishwasher pods available for use, no working lights in the garage (where washer/dryer is located), uncomfortable couch, dated dining table, loose tiles in the bathroom, holes in multiple bath towels, and hot water not working in kitchen sink. Overall the property needs a little TLC. None of the above was enough for us to call the owner etc., but did detract somewhat from out stay.

Very roomy 4 bedroom home, living room and dining room were awesome, kitchen was well equipped. We loved the outdoor patio. Plenty of parking in driveway for 2 cars, street parking also available.

Family gathering before a wedding on July 5th Julian

Our family enjoyed our stay at the Blue Door House. We were able to walk around La Jolla without worrying about driving and parking. The house was spacious and clean.

Fantastic stay

We stayed in this lovely house to attend a nearby wedding in La Jolla. The space was wonderful the kitchen well-equipped, and the locations could not be beat.

The best layout! Beautiful decor!

This cottage was so lovely and comfortable! It was decorated just beautifully and It had everything we needed for our visit in La Jolla for a family wedding. I would highly recommend staying here and I hope to go back!

Charming house in great location

This is a lovely 1920s home within walking distance to loads of shops and restaurants. The layout was perfect for our family. The furniture and beds were comfortable. I would definitely rent again

Beautiful Home and Location

My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Blue Door Cottage! The property is very charming and welcoming and the location is excellent-walking distance to everything. The owners were easy to communicate with, and they even left us a welcome bottle of wine! We had a wonderful time!

This house was just as charming in person as it is in the pictures!

We could not have chosen a more perfect house to stay in! The location is walking distance to everything and the bedrooms were very comfortable. The two patios were perfect to enjoy morning coffee. I plan on making this an annual trip with my girlfriends!

Walkable to village center

Stayed three nights with our adult children. Enjoyed the coastal walk and restaurants. The room fans came in handy since it was unusually humid for this area! Cottage is charming and spacious.

Lovely property walking distance to downtown La Jolla.

My sons and their small children stayed here for a weekend in September. It's a beautiful, clean home in a perfect location. You can easily walk all over downtown La Jolla. You will enjoy your stay here. Mariola was friendly, helpful...and funny. We would rent here again.

Perfect spot for our family adventure from Seattle to sunny La Jolla! Great layout for 4 couples with creative and inviting decorating. Big kitchen and dining room with two garden patios where we enjoyed margaritas and other delights. Enjoyed snorkeling, running, hiking, surfing, walking, restarants. Extra bonus was cottage had beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards. Planning on returning!

Top notch property. Close to the ocean and all oceanic activities and hikes.

The house itself is a gem. Plenty of room and space. Wifi ready and the kitchen comes fully equipped. The location is perfect. It is walking distance to the cove, shops, and restaurants. There is plenty of parking space and the property manager is on top of things and answers all questions to ensure you enjoy your stay. 5 star service and 5 star property. Thank you!

Fantastic location - noisy street

This house is lovely and a fantastic location for walking to restaurants and the beaches. Very comfortable furnishings and a well-stocked kitchen. We appreciated being able to sit outside to dine as well. The only caveat is that the house is right off of Torrey Pines so be aware of street noise at all hours. Earplugs are a great fix and this was not a deal killer for our group.

Absolutely spectacular

We visited Lajolla for the weekend with our kids. This home is absolutely spectacular. Fantastic backyard patio for grilling . Kitchen and rooms are beautifully decorated. Beds are super comfortable sheets were amazing. Very clean, walking distance to shops, breakfast and all different types of restaurants. It wasn’t a beach day so we didn’t go down to the beach . Remind me of a seizure theme.
