Located near the Egg Harbor Marina and off of Whitecliff Road that runs north along the shoreline, Blue Jay offers easy access to things to see and do in Egg Harbor. This one story cottage has one bedroom, one bathroom with single whirlpool tub/shower, living/dining room, fireplace, kitchen and outdoor deck. You can walk to the many activities in Egg Harbor including shops, restaurants and bars, art galleries, free outdoor summer concerts, parks and more. It's only 1/2 mile away from the Egg Harbor beach.

This cottage is in a great location in walking distance of downtown Eggs Harbor. It's the perfect size for my husband and me and our dog. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed for the weekend at the cabin and really enjoyed the location. What we found difficult to ignore was the smell. Unfortunately, it smelled like a pet had used the restroom on the living room carpet - we attempted to open windows, use the A/C, as well as the fan and nothing worked. We really wanted to love the place because we really didn’t need anything other than a place to stay that was close to town, but it ended up being a serious headache.

We had a wonderful and relaxing long weekend in Egg Harbor! The cottage was super clean, had everything we needed and was a really great location, but still quiet! We were able to walk to get coffee every morning, get a few groceries, dine, and go to watch the sunset. It was also an easy access to the main drag to visit all the other Door County communities. The only thing I would recommend to the owner/manager is to maybe look into getting a new bed as it was older and not real comfortable anymore. We would definitely look into staying here again!

Excellent location! Within walking distance of grocery stores, restaurants, shops, and a nice park overlooking the marina. The cottage is small but comfortable. We had a nice breeze off the bay and sat on the patio with a glass of wine every evening. would gladly return next year.

The location is wonderful, walking distance to the shops/restaurants/marina. The cabin is unassuming, basic and quaint, reminded me of an independent living condo from the 90s. I don’t need much when I travel, but a comfortable bed is a must, and this property missed the mark on that. It was definitely an old, thin mattress with very stiff coils. Had to go back to Sturgeon Bay and buy a mattress topper just to be able to sleep through the night (I have a bad back).Please consider upgrading the mattress or purchasing nice mattress topper to make this room more comfortable.I would also recommend having a small bag of coffee available to guests, or letting people know to bring their own.

Chose Another Location

Mattress needs to be replaced, you will be sleeping on springs that are popping out. Coffee maker leaked. Door leading out to the deck leaked when it rained. Prepare for poor WiFi signal. Be careful entering the property as there are large broken rocks you have to walk across. Suggest you find another location to rent, it was not worth the high price charged.

Great location! Clean!

Perfect little cottage for our getaway to Door County. Very clean. Perfect location, 1/2 block to downtown Egg Harbor. No need to drive! Enjoyed peaceful walks around the harbor, to dinner, and ice cream!

Excellent Launching Pad

Fantastic home base to explore Door County for a weekend. Fairly bare bones but has everything you would need for a couple, and can’t beat the location. Walking distance to marina for sunset and all of egg harbor downtown, but still very quiet. Very clean, no musty smell as other reviewers have noted. Would stay again!

Disappointed

The cottage was very clean but we were disappointed in the small Whirlpool tub that would barely fit 1 person, and the grill which was similar to those found at county parks. In addition, there were no basic condiments which would be helpful when cooking our own meals.. Rate a 3

I was born and raised in Egg Harbor, Door County, Wisconsin. I attended grade school in Egg Harbor and Gibraltar H.S. in Fish Creek, and I am a UW - Madison graduate. Our family business has been the Alpine Resort and Golf Course in Egg Harbor. After 100 years of ownership, we have sold the business to a new owner. My family continues to rent our eight vacation houses in Egg Harbor seasonally. I have two sons and live in Sturgeon Bay. We have a golden retriever that is very active and playful and he loves to swim.

The Blue Jay house has been in our family from the beginning. It's close to all the great things Egg Harbor (and Door County) has to offer. It's only available for vacations in the spring, summer and fall. My family is very protective of this house and keep it very clean and well maintained.

This house is the perfect little vacation cottage. It's located in an area of private summer homes with lots of trees and within walking distance to shops, restaurants and bars, the Egg Harbor Marina, galleries, free summer concerts and groceries in Egg Harbor. It's 1/2 mile to the Egg Harbor beach. Located on Whitecliff Road, there's plenty of opportunity for walks with public access to the water every few hundred feet.
