Situated in the outdoors adventure packed area of Twin Bridges/Strawberry CA, this house is 25 minutes from South Lake Tahoe, 8 minutes from Sierra-at-Tahoe ski mountain, and single digit minutes form fishing/hiking/climbing/kayaking, you name it.

Fully rebuilt/remodeled in 2010. 4 bedrooms. 3 with queen beds. The 4th is the open sleeping area in the loft (with 4 twin beds). A fold out sofa full bed in the great room. 3 full baths with beautiful natural stone- 2 have double showers and the master bath has a large claw foot soaking tub. The family room is very spacious for multiple families with a 'touch to start' Gas Fireplace for efficient heating, 85” flat screen 3D TV with Dish Tv, BluRay & DVD Player, XBox 360, Nintendo Wii U, and iPod docking for built-in home surround sound.

The entertaining kitchen has loads of natural stone counter space, stainless appliances, all cooking utensils and dishes are included. The dining table can expand for up to 12 people. The house is tastefully decorated and reclaimed wood floors are through out the house adding a rustic mountain touch. Most of the furniture is new and in excellent condition creating a designer feel through out the house. The decor is tastefully done with a Pottery Barn feel throughout. There are board games, kids art supplies, DVD’s, BluRay movies, some 3D movies, 8 sets of 3D movie glasses, Satellite HD TV, books, kid toys, train table, and a Pack and Play crib.

Outside features include a granite landscaped backyard/patio, with wood burning stove, Gas BBQ, fire pit, and patio seating & lounging for 9. In summer relax in the hammock. Relax your tired body after a day of skiing or hiking in the 6 person log sauna house. And the large wrap-around driveway can easily accommodate 4 cars.

Don't want to leave your car out in the snow or sun? Then take advantage of the large garage with steps leading up into the home.

This house is conveniently located under 10 minutes to Sierra at Tahoe Ski Resort. There are loads of activities under 20 min from the cabin such as, walking the Pony Express Trail, Desolation wilderness, climbing at Lover’s Leap, fishing in the south fork of the American river, water activities at Echo, Wrights, Ice House, Union Valley Reservoir and Tahoe and endless hiking. Walk to the Strawberry lodge for ice cream or the market for basic food needs. Another winter perk: If 50 is closed over the pass, you can often still get in to this house- It is ½ mi. below the closure location at Twin Bridges, so you will never have interrupted travels. South Lake Tahoe is a 25 min scenic drive with views of the lake, and mountains along the way.

Got a baby? The house is BABY READY with a crib, rocking chair, two baby gates, changing pad, diaper genie, and a pack and play.

Got a dog? A nice medium sized wire dog crate with pillow is included.

Note: Please be aware that our home DOES NOT have a Hot Tub. I don't know why VRBO's website is showing us as having a Hot Tub. We have a Sauna, but not a hot tub.

Power:
In the event of a power outage guests can use the house generator. It runs the following things: Refrigerator, furnace, half the lights on main floor, and half the plugs on the main floor, garage lights. It does NOT run the Oven, Stove, Microwave, Dishwasher or Washer/Dryer. SO, in the case of an outage you'll still have heat and ways to cook (Use the Hot Plate, Crock Pot, Rice Maker, Water boiling Kettle, and Propane BBQ grill)
