Ocean Sands Condo - Steps Away to a Private Beach - Linens Included

Oceanfront complex with a private beach! This condominium unit is an efficiency/studio with one bath.

The unit sleeps 3 comfortably, with one queen size bed and a queen size sleeper couch. This unit faces the parking lot, and on the 2nd floor. It is unit B226, the blue building. The complex is 1 of 3 and is directly on a private beach. It is a quiet, family-oriented environment.

The complex has a great pool and two oceanfront gazebos for taking in the breath taking views. There is outdoor grilling available with charcoal grills and picnic tables and there are on-site laundry facilities provided that are credit card operated.

Linens and towels are included with our unit plus beach towels. Come and stay without the hassle of having to bring all the bulky items from home.

We pride ourselves on having a spotless unit! Don't take our word for it, come and see for yourself.

You will love it at Ocean Sands, we do!

OCEAN SANDS CONDOMINIUM IS A SMOKE FREE COMMUNITY. This includes both inside and outside the unit.

Seconds from the Ocean

This was our 3rd stay at Ocean Sands but our first in Jen and Ben's unit. This is by far our favorite one. Everything you need is provided including the softest towels and a dehumidifier! It makes such a difference and there was no musty smell like some of the other units. We recommend emptying right before going to bed to avoid being woke up by the beep that's it's full. The pool is great and of course it is steps away from the beach. We can't wait to come back next year.

Such a cute and clean place to stay! I was impressed by how clean the property was. Very nice location. The pool did get a little crowded, but there was always plenty of space on the private beach area! I would definitely stay here again!

Tiny House at the Beach

We enjoyed it for 2 people(3 would be too tight). Bathroom was great with nice big shower and plush towels. Kitchen good counterspace. Do not bring too many clothes as there are no real closets but a nice vanity that worked. Very accommodating with an easy walk of about 1 minute to the beach with a wonderful gazebo walkway. Near many restaurants, Fort Macon, and Beaufort. Looking forward to returning soon!

Perfect little getaway!

We stayed at this lovely condo for a friend’s wedding at the aquarium. The space was perfect for my husband and I and I loved the access to the beach and closeness to the restaurants. Definitely would stay here again!

Ocean Sands #226B

The Hillman's condo is decorated beautifully! It was very clean and well organized, the bed and sofa bed were very comfortable, the coffee maker was great because it offered the choice of a regular pot or Keurig. I especially appreciated the dresser in the room so that I could put away mine and my grandchildren's (ages 16, 10 and 5) clothes! The location is absolutely perfect with Dairy Queen and Dollar General within walking distance! The pool (salt water I believe) was immaculate, and the beach is steps away and was uncrowded and beautiful! We absolutely loved every aspect of our stay!

Cockroaches in the unit

I was very disappointed with our stay here. Even more disappointed that I emailed the owner/manager Jennifer with all these concerns and gave her an opportunity to make it right. I included photo/video explaining the problems we had and sent it on September 14th and have not heard a word back. My guess is she'll be quick to respond to this public review and try to spin it like she did the last negative review below. As mentioned in that comment below, the strong smell of mold/mildew is nauseating. In the pre-arrival email, you are asked by the owners to empty a dehumidifier multiple times a day to try and remedy this. It's not that big of a deal but is very annoying. It seems like simply buying a bigger dehumidifier would help and is an easy fix. The bathroom sink was also backing up when we arrived. The biggest problem though, and the reason I'm here to post a review is that there were multiple cockroaches in the unit during our stay. I have photos and videos of them and sent them to Jenifer and explained the issues during our stay. I believe cockroaches in a rental unit is unacceptable and I gave her the chance to make it right. I wasn't even given a response, much less any type of apology or refund. My money is on her replying quickly here since it's public. I'm glad some people had a good stay at this place, but I want people to know about my experience and be able to avoid having the same experience.

This our third time staying at this place. It is always clean and comfortable! You can’t beat the location of being right on the beach plus, it is a private section of the beach so it is never really crowded. The host is wonderful and we will definitely be back again!

What’s That Smell???

My wife and I were so excited to have our first vacation without our children. We arrived late and the first thing we noticed was the musky basement smell. We went to bed and contacted the owner in the morning. After telling us to empty the dehumidifier several times a day and adjust the room temperature. If that didn’t work, we were told to try the ionizer. I felt it was odd to have an ionizer since they “never had any issues before.” Anyway, My wife just couldn’t stomach the smell and I asked for a refund. I was refunded 2 days out of 4 booked, and lost some taxes/Vrbo fees. So we paid around $600 for 1 night! The owner sent the house cleaner over and she was crying because she “got yelled at.” We felt bad and told her it was not her fault. This was unprofessional! I spoke to the neighbor (who owns her unit) and she said the entire place has this issue. The owner of this property was nice at first, but his tune changed quickly when refunds were requested. We left and stayed at Hotel Alice (highly recommend) after the first night. I was told by the owner that I would be refunded 2 days and the Vrbo fees, but his wife informed me it was only the 2 days and I was lucky. I didn’t want to leave feedback, but renters need to know what they are in for. I want a vacation, not a place were I’m expected to work emptying buckets, adjusting the thermostat, & turning on an ionizer (you have to leave for 30-60 minutes and then open the door for 5 mins to air it out).

Extremely Clean!

This is a great unit at this location. The space was extremely clean. Host very kind and responsive to any questions. I've stayed at several units here and this has been the only one with a large tv that swivels so you can watch while in bed. Lots of hooks around for drying swimsuits, etc and other thoughtful touches. Would definitely stay again. Thanks Jennifer!

Mini vacation

Its was a nice clean room . Easy walk to the beach. Only wish there was a small shelf beside the bed. I use my phone as a clock and had no where to put it but under my pillow. Overall stay was nice and enjoyable.
