ABSOLUTELY PRISTINE VIEW! 1 Bedroom with Den/2 Bathroom, 150 ft to waters edge.. Well equipped kitchen, air conditioning, ceiling fans, wireless internet, 55" flat screen TV in Liv Rm, TV's in both the Bedroom and Den, gas grill, 2 lanais with ocean/beach views, fully stocked linen closets, ample covered parking directly below unit, outdoor shower, large yard, washer/dryer, private elevator, ping pong, and dartboard!. You will not be disappointed!

Your island home is situated on the penthouse/top floor of a triplex building - Pu'uwai O' Kahalu'u (in the heart of Kahalu'u). Ceiling fans throughout, fully stocked kitchen and 1,100 square feet plus 350 square feet in covered lanais with ocean/beach views. Sleeps up to 4 people with a King bed in the bedroom and also a King bed in the den. Fall asleep to the sound of the surf! Walk across the street to Kahalu'u Beach Park - the premier snorkel and surf spot on the Island. The neighborhood has several board rental shops and the next door neighbor runs a surf school. Snorkel gear available to rent at the beach.

Located less than 1 mile away are shops, restaurants, a movie theater, grocery store, drug store, and Keauhou Urgent Care ā€“ hopefully not needed. Less than 2 miles to Keauhou Bay Pier, the departure site for various activities including swimming with the Manta Rays. Kona Country Club less than a mile away and Makalei Golf Club boasts a challenging course with expansive ocean views, reasonable prices, and is located just 10 miles away.

Minimum night varies seasonally 4 - 10 nights. Property is non-ADA compliant, non-smoking, and no pets allowed.

Great location, with a beautiful view. My husband and I stayed here for 11 nights and we really enjoyed our stay. The lanai was perfect, we sat out there every night we could to watch the sunset. One of the a/cā€™s stopped working while we were there, I contacted the host and the a/c was replaced by the next morning. We were impressed by the quick response and how they handled the situation. The location is just far enough away from downtown Kona that you donā€™t get the road noise and heavy traffic, but still convenient to shops and other activities. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful home in a great location

This property is probably one of the most loved by my family. It is spacious, clean and well updated. Best snorkeling in Hawaii right across the street. Out favoutrite was the lanai..we lived watching sunsets from here, eating together and just spending time playing games in the afternoons. Overall a great stay! Will definitely come back!

Great location and the pictures don't do the property justice!

My wife and I visited the Big Island as part of our 30th wedding anniversary and we thoroughly enjoyed our home for our stay on the Big Island. This location offered everything we needed and was conveniently located to both grocery stores and restaurants. If we ever make it back to the area, we will definitely be looking to stay here again!

This property had everything you could need in a Hawaiian vacation home. Beds were super comfortable, the deck (lanai) was spectacular. The breeze and fans in every room made it so comfortable, we never needed to use the air conditioning.

Fantastic Penthouse - Fantastic location

The penthouse is the entire top floor, with an elevator, and outdoor shower for rinsing snorkel-scuba gear. Early morning views and sunset views of Kahaluu Beach from the very large lanai were the best. Penthouse has everything. Definitely will stay here again.

Kahalu'u Bay Penthouse

We just got home from our 21 day adventure on the Big Island. The Penthouse is fantastic, so well stocked, and centrally located. The Kona Vacations team is very responsive and David their concierge has world class offerings. The condo is everything it says and more. You will not be disappointed with the penthouse!

My wife and I enjoyed this unit so much. The kitchen was well equipped with everything that we needed to cook. The location canā€™t be beat as you have a gorgeous view of the ocean and can watch the surfers all day. The deck facing the ocean is large and itā€™s a 2 minute walk across the way to sit at the beach or snorkel. We recommend this unit as an excellent location. The unit was comfortable and had everything we needed.

Location Location Location

Location of rental is in an ideal spot. It's away from the main hub (Kailua-Kona) but still easily accessible for an evening out to explore/experience the many fine dining options around. And you can't forget that it's right across from Kahalu'u Beach, a popular spot for learning to surf and snorkel (observed it was popular with the families). Favorite part of the penthouse was the lanai; we enjoyed having such a spacious area for card playing, dinner and watching the sunset after a full day of exploration of the Big Island. -Mahalo

Beautiful View & Quick access to beach/snorkel and surfing school

Spacious and well equipped this location was great. There are a few things that needed some repairs and they promptly replaced a broken washing machine. We were contacted the day after we arrive to make sure everything was OK and it wasnā€™t until day three that we realize some of the things that were needing a little TLC, such as one nonworking ceiling fan out of 8 others that were working. Internet, beach towels, and TVs were available along with a few puzzles. BBQ worked well. Thereā€™s even a small elevator to help you get to the penthouse!

This place was a great find! You can just walk across the street to snorkel or surf. A supermarket and some restaurants are 2-3 minute drive. No loud music or drunken people hollering at night to worry about. You can sit at the spacious lanai and enjoy the amazing sunset. Inside is very spacious. The bathrooms and bedrooms were very clean. Plenty of ceiling fans and air conditioners to keep you comfortable. The complimentary supplies were more than enough for my party of 2 that stayed for 5 days. The handy elevator was a plus. If I ever return to Big Island, I will be looking to rent this place again. Highly recommended.

Gorgeous lanai and view!

Highly recommend not only the resort but Kona Coast rentals who are VERY organized and communicate well. Love the app and all the emails in advance as well as the house guide. We had an issue while we were there during our stay and they were fantastic.The property looks just like the pictures. We loved the kitchen/living/lanai. Fantastic view to watch surfers and peaceful waves. Watched sunset from the beach across the street but it was still gorgeous from our patio. Bathrooms and bedroom carpet are a little dated but we were happy regardless. Lots of windows and great parking. Elevator! If you snorkel youā€™ll live the location even more. Easy 4-mile drive to town. Or thereā€™s a bus at the end of the driveway. We didnā€™t want to be right in town. Would definitely stay here again

Stunning lanai

We stayed at this property for three weeks. it is directly across from a very busy surfing beach. Lots of traffic noise. the property is very very clean. bathrooms have low toilets; there are no grab bars which is an issue for tall people with OA. We enjoyed the lanai every day. There is a BBQ for this unit. Whales and dolphins are close. Bring binoculars, there are cochi frogs nearby and they are very very loud at night. the property is as described in the posting.
