Villa Coldew is located on the north coast of Jamaica with an amazing view of the blue Caribbean Sea. The property is 10 minutes east of Ocho Rios, 15 minutes east of Dunn's River Falls and 1 hour and 30 minutes east of Sangster's International Airport. The new Ian Fleming International Airport is about 7 minutes east of the property, and is accessible to international flights and domestic connecting flights from the island's two other international airports.

The property has beautifully landscaped gardens with a private pool and Jacuzzi. There are 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms available to our guests. Bedrooms are air conditioned.

The Neighborhood

The area is renowned for the battle site where England defeated Spain for the island in 1658. Not far from the property, about 7 minutes drive is the Ian Flemming International Airport. The Ian Flemming Estate is also close by, and is the location where the James Bond novels were written.

Getting Around

Airport transportation is included for guests arriving together. We will be happy to assist our guests with arranging additional transportation needs.

Family Trip

The view was magnificent. This is an older property and could use some updating but very spacious & accommodating for a large family. The owner was such a wonderful and gracious hostess. I truly look forward to our paths crossing again

Excellent service-amazing view

I recently had an incredible stay and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The location offers breathtaking views, situated in a safe and quiet area that provides a perfect getaway. The property boasts a large pool area with a jacuzzi, making it a fantastic spot to relax and unwind. While the common areas are not air-conditioned, the bedrooms are cool and comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. Most of the bedrooms come with ensuite bathrooms and are spacious with very comfortable beds. Due to a recent hurricane, there was no access to WiFi, but this actually turned out to be a blessing in disguise. We spent our days lounging by the pool with a good book and having wonderful conversations. The home itself is immaculately kept, thanks to the kind and diligent groundsman who keeps everything clean and beautifully manicured. We were treated to delicious breakfasts every morning, prepared with love, which added a delightful touch to our stay. Although the property is close to the downtown core of Ochie, you will need a vehicle as it is not within walking distance. This minor inconvenience was easily outweighed by all the other amazing aspects of our stay. Overall, I highly recommend this villa for anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable vacation in Jamaica.

If you want a genuine Jamaican experience, stay at Villa Coldew!!

Our family of 12 stayed at Villa Coldew, and from beginning to end, we had the BEST experience! The pictures are what the advertisement says they are: lovely ocean view, beautifully kept lawn, amazing service in housekeeping, friendly owner! Ms. Connie missed no details, kept all receipts of what we bought, Cooked food at our request, and was very fair with her price. Detail-oriented and eager to please, she makes the experience at Villa Coldew worth it. She and the staff know when to come around versus giving privacy, and they all navigated that very well. The neighborhood is super safe , quiet, and absolutely lovely. We woke up to a view of the ocean every day, and had coffee and drinks on a gorgeous veranda with a view of the ocean. New Years night brought cruise ships on the water blowing their horn, and it felt movie perfect. Even our driver who we got to take us around Ocho Rios and other places was knowledgeable and worked with Ms. Connie to get us where we needed to go—he was amazing!! If you stay at Villa Coldew, ask for Wendell Stoddart as your driver! The only detail I can think of that was disappointing is the jacuzzi—the heating element was out when we were there and the pool was cold. Mind you, we did go at the end of December and beginning of January, but we would have loved for that to work. Nevertheless, we will book again and again and again to have a genuine Jamaican experience and to stay specifically at THIS HOUSE. We are already scheming our next vacation at Villa Coldew within the next year. I would skip the resorts ANYDAY to have this specific experience again. This is a must-stay!! You will not be disappointed!!!

Eye opener

I've never traveled outside the country to do so with these nice people on the property almost felt like family it was a wonderful experience and the property manager goes out her way to make the impossible possible so with short timing and everyone canceling on us they came through the view is amazing and so are the people
