Stunning Homestead Beachfront Condo - Epic Sunsets Over Sleeping Bear Bay

The Homestead Resort holds a most special place in our hearts, with five generations of our family creating cherished memories on these shores of Lake Michigan; we are so happy to share this experience with you! Your dream beachfront vacation begins just steps away with our newly-remodeled airy, bright, comfy, and immaculate condo. One glance off your private, waterfront deck and you’ll know why GMA viewers voted the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore the “Most Beautiful Place in America,” and after just one epic, sky-on-fire sunset, you’ll find yourself planning your return.

Our 1200 square foot, two bedroom, two full bath condo sleeps six comfortably and is stocked with all the amenities to make you feel right at home. It has been newly updated this year and features a fresh, clean, casual coastal decor with special details throughout. New wood floors provide a clean, cool feel under your feet. Vaulted ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding doors throughout give the unit a very open, spacious feeling, while ceiling fans in the living room and both bedrooms provide a silent, steady, light breeze on a warm summer day. Two private decks (with lounge furniture) give you ample space to soak in the breath-taking views. Our unit is located on the second (top) floor, so there’s no need to worry about foot noise from above, just enjoy the sounds of the waves lapping on the shore.

Two roomy bedroom suites feature en-suite full bathrooms with a walk-in shower (master/queen) or shower/tub combo (guest/twin), privacy doors between the sleeping quarters and the bathroom, and separate toilet/shower areas. The master bedroom has a queen bed with a Stearns & Foster pillow-top mattress. The second bedroom has two new extra-long twin beds. The living room features a new queen-size sleeper sofa with a supportive dense foam mattress (no middle-of-the-back bar here!). All quality linens, including bath and beach towels, are provided for your convenience.

The kitchen is lake-facing and wide open so that you never have to miss the view! It features beautiful granite counter tops, all major appliances, a breakfast bar that seats three, and a dining table that seats six. Every culinary amenity is provided for your use, including quality cookware and utensils, microwave, toaster, coffee makers (pot & single-cup Kuerig), KitchenAid blender, Cuisinart food processor, crock pot, instant-hot and purified water dispensers, and ice maker. An association-shared gas grill and picnic table are available across the parking lot and overlook the Crystal River. (That said, don’t feel compelled to cook on your vacation; there are many wonderful restaurants in Leelanau County!)

Our condo is also wired to keep you entertained and connected. The new flat-screen Smart TV in the living room has a DVD player and a Nintendo Wii game console, and easy access to your streaming accounts (Netflix, Prime Video, AppleTV, Hulu, etc). Both bedrooms also have new flat-screen Smart TVs, and there is free WiFi and cable throughout the unit. An Amazon Alexa speaker with Bluetooth provides an easy connection for your music playlists. The master suite also includes an office nook with a desk, chair, and lots of light, in the event that you need a remote workspace and quiet spot for your laptop. Integrated USB ports and adapters throughout will allow you to stay as connected as you want to be.

You’ll enter our condo area through the less-trafficked south entrance of The Homestead, in the peaceful Beachwalk association area, right on the sandy shore of Lake Michigan. The clear water of the Crystal River flows right along our parking lot and is a great area for kids of all ages to play, fish, kayak, or even just float. Wooded walking trails abound in each direction. As with all private rentals at The Homestead, Private Beach Club privileges are NOT included with this rental.

Outside of The Homestead you will find much to explore in Glen Arbor and the surrounding area. Walk or ride your bike (bring your own or rent) along the 22-mile Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail, easily accessible from the condo. Challenge your legs and lungs on the Sleeping Bear Dune Climb. Enjoy the water in a kayak, canoe, or SUP. Play tennis or pickleball on the recently resurfaced courts in Glen Arbor. Whet your taste buds at wine and craft-beer tastings across the Leelanau Peninsula. Explore the quaint towns, festivals, farmers markets, and shops along M-22. Tee-it-up at one of the many local golf courses. Experience many awe-inspiring views along the Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive. You’ll never be bored… unless you WANT to be!
