Private 3 bedroom Home-Walk to Beaches, Restaurants, & Shops-Bikes, Beach Chairs

We are having new water/sewer lines put in all throughout the community by the county which is completely out of our control. I notified the guest as soon as I found out that there would be construction occurring in front of the house. The guest received a very generously discounted rate (lower than most hotels) due to the nearby construction and any inconvenience that it brought for them. The guest also showed up earlier than check in time without asking permission and let themselves into the house. Upon their earlier than agreed upon check in they contacted me to tell me the AC wasn’t working. I of course apologized and had an AC tech over to the house immediately (which is very difficult to do quickly if you’ve ever worked with AC companies). From the time the guest contacted me until the AC was cooling for them was 1 hour total. In regards to the water backing up due to the construction, we had no control over the fact that the worker improperly cut the water line before shutting off the street water and caused chaos for our guests. Once they notified me I immediately went to the house to help them sort out the problem and offered for them to move to another house (a larger new home with a pool) at no extra charge to them. They obliged and actually enjoyed using both homes during their stay for their large family. I continued to let them use both homes even though the water line problem was remedied that evening. They moved out of the pool home the last day before their departure. I contacted the guests during their stay and they were very happy with the house. They even mentioned to me that their family would want to come back and stay at the house again because it was so nice. As for the exterior of the home, we have a lot of tropical foliage in the front yard that is professionally maintained by a landscaping company. We have foliage in the front yard to provide privacy for guests who like to use the front porch (we have a screened front porch and a screened back porch). This foliage is very obvious based upon our photos and almost every guest that stays comments to me on how much they enjoyed the privacy of the front porch. In my opinion, a one star rating is given when an owner/manager doesn’t respond to guests problems or work with guests on solutions, this was in no way the situation they encountered.
