We loved our stay. The location was ideal. It was close to all the iconic Paris sites and also easily accessible by Metro. The views were wonderful. The flat was quiet, comfortable, and well-stocked with everything from dishes and hairdryer to umbrellas and converters for US electronics. Alain is an exceptional host and has truly thought of everything a guest would need. I highly recommend!

Alain was generous with his time and always responsive to any questions. He shared wonderful ideas of some of his favorite places. This was a perfect home location to begin to get to know Paris (will take a lifetime of visits). Having the Notre Dame Bells ringing - was magical - and the pain au chocolat right downstairs. Doesn’t get better. Will return for sure.

Excellent little apartment right next to Notre Dame. The views (and airflow through the big windows) we're excellent and Alain was a delightful, responsive host who went above and beyond in giving us recommendations.

Great Apartment and Location

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this apartment. The location couldn’t be beaten - as central as you can get, but very quiet at night. The apartment was clean, bright and very well-equipped with a large, comfortable bed in a separate bedroom. I particularly enjoyed sitting on the balcony, with views across the rooftops and a partial view of Notre Dame, which is very nearby. Alain was very welcoming and helpful, telling me where all the nearest supermarkets are and the best places to eat out. I can’t fault anything and would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location, one block from Notre Dame and walking distance to the Seine, the Louvre and d’Orsay musuem. Alain was a fabulous host and it was very easy to communicate with him. I would stay at this place again even if it is located on the fifth floor.

Beautiful apartment with a view!

Beautiful apartment with a wonderful small deck to sit and have morning coffee. Partial view of Notre Dame! Bed was very comfortable and apartment was quiet :) Lovely stay and I can’t wait to return!

Wonderful location and host

This flat is in a great location - just steps from the Notre Dame. Great views and well appointed. No lift and it is on the 5th floor. But not too bad. And Alain helped us bring our bags up and down. Highly recommended!

Great location, perfect for 2. Very safe with std. 2 entry doors of security as well as 2 additional doors into unit. A friend and I stayed at Alain’s place for a week. We loved it! Alain was a wonderful host. He helped us with our luggage and supplied us with Nespresso coffee and wine. Hearing the bells of Notre Dame from our window was an unforgettable experience. Everything was perfect. If you don’t think you can climb five flights of stairs a couple of times a day, however, I would book elsewhere. I definitely hope to stay here in the future

Alain's apartment is excellently located just a few (literally) steps away from the cathedral of Notre Dame. Inside, it has all the amenities you need for a perfect stay: Nespresso machine, TV, Wi-Fi, washing machine etc. The view from every window (fifth floor) is just magnificent. From the bedroom (with large bed) it looks like you can touch the cathedral. The location is easily accessible with RER B from Charles De Gaulle airport (cite' stop). Alain is simply a marvelous host. He quickly replied to all our messages and, on site, answered all our questions. He was also there to welcome us and give us all the information about the apartment and the surroundings. He is a very elegant and kind person. We totally recommend his place!

What a location!

The location of this apartment could not have been better! Central to the city, so close to Notre Dame and Saint Chappelle, and literally next door to boulangeries and restaurants. My wife and I are older, but were able to manage the steps up and down. Meeting Alain was a plus, and he helped us carry our bags up the stairs when we arrived. A small, but efficient apartment, the views out the windows were terrific. This was a perfect start to our time in France. Marci, Alain!

Authentic Experience

If you appreciate evening breezes, with a view of a glowing Notre Dame from your balcony, or a morning sunrise over vintage rooftops along the Seine, this charming corner apartment will provide. Although the winding staircase up to the apartment is a bit of a challenge with suitcases, we were happy to experience this skylit architectural jewel in the same way it has served residents for the last century. We loved being in the center of Paris on Île de la Cité, within walking distance to the neighborhoods and places along the river we wanted to explore. The apartment was well secured, clean, nicely fitted, and the bed was very comfortable. Alain was a wonderful host, and provided us with all the assistance and information we needed to thoroughly enjoy our first visit to Paris. We hope to return again - soon!

Excellent host and accommodations!

My husband and I recently had a wonderful trip to Paris, and staying in Alain’s flat was a choice that made our trip easy and comfortable. Alain was accessible throughout our entire trip. He made sure we knew how to use the flat’s many amenities and sent us restaurant and market recommendations for our stay. This was our first time staying near Notre Dame, and the location was amazing!!! The flat’s central location made it easy to walk to many favorite sections of Paris. The nearby Metro stations made longer jaunts as easy as a quick scan of our Navigo passes. Getting to the flat from the airport was very easy, as the RERB line stops at the Sant-Michel-Notre-Dame station, just up the street from the flat. To stay here, one must be able to walk up and down flights of stairs. We enjoyed the extra exercise, but know that this is not everyone. The bed was very comfortable and the windows that open to beautiful views of rooftops and Notre Dame added a level of charm that you cannot find in many accommodations. This was a great place for a getaway, and we hope to make it back! Thanks, Alain, for being such a wonderful host!

The Perfect Paris Getaway

This was the perfect place for a Parisian getaway! From the quintessentially Parisian views to the well-appointed apartment, the experience staying at Alain’s property was exceptional. Beyond the wonderful apartment itself, Alain was an incomparable host, going out of his way to offer a warm welcome (even through some travel challenges encountered with flights on the way there), treats and wine in the kitchen, perfect recommendations and so much more. I can’t say enough. I truly hope I will be able to stay in this property again someday in the not too distant future. Merci Alain!

Wonderful Stay!!

Wonderful stay! Perfect location! Close to many of the sites, yet the area is relatively quiet. We were able to walk to most sites but if you want to take the metro it is very close, including the RER B to/from the airport or the RER C to Versailles which is just a 5min walk. The area feels like a quiet oasis from any crowds but is close to boulangeries and restaurants. You will feel like you’re right in the middle of everything you want to do. The apartment is well equipped with every necessity and is very clean and well maintained. There’s also an easy to use washing machine/dryer. The main bed and the sofa bed are very comfortable. The apartment is small and it was a little tight for the three of us, but it was very manageable and we would stay here again. It would be perfect for two people. The spiral stairs may sound intimidating but honestly it wasn’t that big of a deal (and two of us are over 60). Plus, once you get there you have amazing views and a wonderful cross breeze. While the area felt very safe, it was reassuring that the building is very secure. And as a host Alain is wonderful! He was quick to respond to any questions we had before and during our trip, he supplied us with great recommendations, and even helped us with securing a taxi to the airport. And when we arrived, he already had croissants waiting for us, a bottle of wine, soft drinks in the refrigerator and plenty of tea and coffee for the Nespresso maker. We greatly appreciated his hospitality!

Couldn't ask for a better stay in Paris!

My husband and I stayed at Alain's place for a week-long getaway in November, and it was fantastic! The location is ideal for getting around Paris and to/from CDG Airport. We traveled exclusively by foot, Metro/RER, and -- once -- electric scooter! It was a breeze to get anywhere we wanted to go. The apartment was great -- sunny, charming, clean, and efficiently arranged. We loved our morning coffees with a view that overlooked Paris rooftops and Notre Dame. The stocked fridge was also a nice touch :) Alain was very helpful throughout our stay: getting us oriented to the apartment, providing recommendations on local places to eat and tips on using the Metro, and he also was quick to respond to our questions throughout the week on French customs and culture. Would highly recommend, and would absolutely stay here again!

An ABSOLUTE GEM on Île de la Cité!

We had the most lovely stay at Alain's flat! Everything was perfect - the location cannot be beat, upon exiting the flat you are one block from Notre Dame and the Seine (either bank!). We chose the flat because of the spectacular views and it did NOT disappoint. We traveled with our 15 month son and the flat was the perfect retreat after a full day of exploring to come back relax and still be a part of Paris's magic with the balcony views to take in the sunset and rooftop views! The kitchen is stocked with everything you need, the bed is VERY comfortable and the flat is clean and charming with plenty of room (we had a lot of stuff!). And the icing on the cake was Alain, the flat's host!! He was SO responsive from my initial inquiry, helpful with any questions I had, so kind and thoughtful as we navigated our trip plans. He could not have been more helpful and my husband and I SO enjoyed meeting him and think of him now as a friend! Alain also had so many special touches that made the visit all the more memorable -- wonderful treats, a stocked fridge and wine! We were so thankful to have these upon arriving after a long day of travel. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Bienvenue a Paris!

From the initial planning stages, to check-in, to the stay in the heart of Ile de la Cite was truly a wonderful experience! Alain was more than helpful during the planning stages of the trip, being responsive in short order. Upon arrival, we were greeted into the Parisian flat with a smile and information that would be helpful to our stay. In addition, the flat was equipped with items for an enjoyable start, from soft drinks, small snacks, toiletries and the all important bottle of French wine. Alain treated us as friends and was not hesitant to assist and provide recommendations as to where to dine, shop and more. Though not equipped with a lift, the daily climb to the flat was well worth the reward of the balcony view over Notre Dame. In addition, Alain took pleasure in providing a history lesson in that the spiritual staircase was fabricated in the Eiffel Foundry. It was truly a pleasure in staying in Alain’s flat and getting to know him.

Alain is such a great host--I appreciated how organized, thoughtful, and communicative he was. His flat is clean and has everything you need. Location is superb. I would love to stay here again next time I'm in Paris.
