Well appointed villa. Great location near the communal pool and gym. Comfy beds, modern bathrooms, well kitted out kitchen. Great WiFi, would not hesitate to rebook. Owner is easy to talk with and responsive to requests.

Lovely stay! The apartment was spotless with everything needed for a comfortable holiday. We particularly loved the garden and onsite pool and gym facilities. Good location , 5 minutes walk to the lake.

we had a wonderful 6 nights stay in Encosta do Lago, blessed with blue sku and sunshine for the entire trip. The apartment is a mere stone's throw from the pool with bar restaurant and tennis courts. The apartment was spotlessly clean, sizeable rooms, powerful showers and an extremely well equipped kitchen. We had an incredibly peaceful stay and would definitely recommend.

Super convenient and comfortable place for the best of Quinta

Well appointed ground floor apartment with loads of space for a young family of four. Lovely swimming pool and tennis courts a stones throw and other Quinta facilities and restaurants, including the shack at the lake, close by. Very enjoyable, will be booking this again!

Excellent villa

A beautiful clean villa with everything you need for a stay. Small touches like dishwasher tables being left just took away a lot of thinking and made the stay very enjoyable. We loved the resort, and the pool is excellent for toddlers and teenagers. Tucanos nearby does excellent food for both adults and children alike. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely come back! Thank you to James, the host, for being so responsive to any queries. The guide to the resort and area was super helpful!

A most enjoyable stay in a delightful place

The property was wonderful in all aspects: quiet, spacious, tastefully decorated and furnished. It had all the necessary appliances. It is conveniently located in beautiful Quinta do Lago. I hope to come back sometime in the future and I have no hesitation in recommending this property.

Fantastic stay

We had an absolutely fantastic week at this property, which has everything we've come to expect from Encosta Do Lago. Immaculate property kitted out with everything we needed and a lovely garden space (we utilised the BBQ that is provided), close to the pool, beach front and a range of beach bars and Quinta restaurants. The Owner was extremely responsive and helpful whenever I had any questions. Would very happily stay again.

Beautiful apartment & great location

Great apartment with everything you could need in a really great location, really close to the pool and walking distance to places we wanted to go. Comfy beds, aircon, sky tv, washing machine, great bathrooms. And the owner has given brilliant communication & quick response. Overall fantastic

The most beautiful Villa

We had one of the nicest holidays we can ever imagine here. Villa is stunning, everything is excellent quality, comfortable and clean. Everything you could think of is provided to use. The location is also perfect, short walk to a lovely communal pool with snack bar, close to beach, golf courses, country club etc. Cannot wait to return.

We had a lovely stay at the villa ,we had every thing we need , close to the pool and beach ,We also had a lovely garden and BBQ Quinta do Lago is a beautiful area . We will be back next year .Thank you James

Easy check in. Owner is very quick to answer messages Great apartment with all expected amenities, minus maybe some board games perhaps. Only 1 minute from the pool and pool bar. Pool is lovely, very deep in places but safe for all ages. The restaurant on site has very good menu with fresh fish and great steaks. The apartment is a 5 minute walk to The Shack and the water facilities there, book well in advance. Would come again, Quinta do Lago is a very lovely place, it is a very expensive place to eat out or do any activities, and the best restaurants in the area get booked up well in advance. All said we had a great 2 weeks.

Fantastic Apartment

Hi Second time we have stayed in this apartment. It's a lovely, spacious apartment in great location. Close to the pool and also just a short walk to the the lake. Love this aprtment and location. James is fantastic with all communication. Cannot fault it. Denise

Family stay

I booked for family and they were so happy with the apartment and the facilities, pool, gym, snack bar and restaurant. Was spotless on arrival but had a bit of difficulty with the front door lock on arrival. The lovely lady arrived to sort it out even though it was a Sunday. Thank you.

A beautiful apartment

We have just returned from a 6 night stay in this lovely apartment. It was spacious, clean and well equipped. Lovely beach towels and a hair dryer were amongst many of the much appreciated items left for our use. We had a great time and very much enjoyed the use of the pool, which was a short walk away and huge! The complex was quiet and smart. A car is needed really but we made do with using Uber’s on this occasion. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely book again. Thank you for letting us enjoy your apartment.

James Lee is an excellent host; he simplified the entire process of renting the property, and communicating with him was fluid as he was always available when needed. Our stay was pleasant from the first moment when we entered the apartment. It is a fragrant space, clean, beautiful, comfortable, harmonious, well equipped, furnished and organized; makes us feel truly at home. The cleaning service provided was efficient and we never lacked fresh towels – both for bath and beach – and clean bed linen. We received what was announced and contracted and we truly enjoyed a calm and tranquility that allowed us to rest and restore energy. We are all deeply grateful

Excellent apartment.

This is a lovely spacious apartment well appointed with good sized rooms in an exclusive area. All the equipment seemed in good order and the beds were comfortable. Large tvs in the lounge and main bedroom with U.K. tv channels and sky sports. A very fast WiFi is also there. The property is a very short walk to a large pool with children’s area with restaurant and bar. The property is close to the Quinta lake where there is a man made beach and various activities as well as more restaurants. The sea and sandy beaches are a good walk away. In my opinion a car is essential to get around. The nearest supermarket is Pingo Doce at Quinta shopping about 2 miles away. Larger supermarkets are at Almancil. There are excellent sandy beaches a short drive away. Overall we were very pleased with the apartment and would return.

The apartment is spacious & well stocked in the kitchen area. There were a few issues upon arrival: ants were present & patio furniture not cleaned. We cleaned the patio furniture. Ants were sporadically but consistently present in the unit, on kitchen counter, floors, bathrooms and living area. Issue was raised with owner who proceeded to send cleaning staff. As guests, we obviously got rid of the ants as we saw them. When cleaning staff arrived, no ants were seen - at that moment. As such, they informed the owner and nothing was done. We asked the owner, to tell the cleaning staff - please spray the unit. Just because you don't see ants at a given moment, doesn't mean they are not present or that they will return which is in fact, what kept happening. We offered to leave the unit for several hours so a spray could be done but because the cleaning staff didn't see ants at the moment they arrived, they did not spray the unit. As a result, we constantly spent time getting rid of ants everyday. The owner said ants were a fact in the Algarve & a ground floor unit. What is not acceptable however, is the lack of care on the part of the owner. If a guest consistently informs and provides you with pictures and video's of ants, the hope is the owner would try to make the situation right for their guest. But nothing was done. Good pest control keeps ants at bay. We kept the unit spotless. The ants &the way the owner responded to us, made stay less than perfect.

I hope people will read this and understand this is not the normal experience of our guests. Please read our other reviews. This client would not contact our property manager in Portugal and insisted on going via myself in the UK which made life more difficult. Housekeeping visited four times and couldn’t find any ants. I received pictures and a video of single ants a week after they left the property. At the time they said the apartment was full of ants, required pest control and requested a refund/compensation with the underlying threat of a negative review if I didn’t comply so this review is no surprise. I arrived at the apartment the day after they left, have been here 3 weeks and have only seen one ant inside the apartment.

James, notre hôte, a répondu à toutes nos questions avec précision et rapidité avant notre séjour. L'appartement est très bien situé (proximité de la piscine, belle vue dégagée, beau jardin) et dispose d'un équipement complet. Je recommande fortement !
