Welcome To Salty Kisses!! Our 4 Bedroom Beach Cottage

Capture beautiful sunsets, beach views and memories in this nicely decorated 4 Bd/4.5 Ba beachside cottage with third floor living space, including a fire place, custom built-in cabinets, and fully equipped kitchen. Stretch out on the hammocks and enjoy the green space and soak in the panoramic views from this large corner lot. Take advantage of the tranquil gulf shores of Pointe West's unparalleled manicured beach which is just a short walk from our home. The Pointe West Beach Club infinity edge pool, hot tub and game room, fitness room, restaurant and bar is at your disposal for a one-time fee of $25/pp paid to the Club. It is definitely worth it for those memorable sunsets from the Sunset Pool Club featuring a lazy winding river pool and hot tub on the bay side of the Pointe West resort.

With one king bed, two queen beds, two sets of bunk beds, this beach house will sleep 8 comfortably. There are 4 TVs with satellite channels, 1 DVD, and Wi-Fi internet access. All linens, bath towels, beach towels, are provided for your convenience.

The seclusion of Pointe West is its hidden charm. So, remember the nearest grocery store is 7 miles from Pointe West. Larger grocery stores chains are approximately 20 miles away. Many Galveston area attractions are about 25 minutes away, such as Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn Water Park, Pleasure Pier, the Strand, the Lone Star Flight Museum, and Sea Wolf Park.

Just a reminder NO PETS ALLOWED and we must collect the Galveston City Tax of 9% at check in. VRBO only collects the state tax!!!!

Salty kisses

We had a wonderful time. The house was clean and perfect for us. It had everything we needed, it was well stocked and we probably played almost all the games. We enjoyed the beach close by and spend many hours in the water.

Great Location

Beach club in neighborhood was great! AC wasn't working when we arrived, but owner sent repair man as soon as possible.

Thank you for staying at Salty Kisses. We purchased this new a/c in 2019 and we have it serviced every 6 months. It was last serviced 2 weeks before check in. The a/c was repaired within a few hours of you reporting it to us. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope you had a great vacation. Michelle and Frank

Great house!

We loved Salty Kisses! Comfortable beds and couch, beautiful decor, and just a lovely house all the way around. The neighborhood was nice and we could see the ocean from the balcony. The owners were flexible, responsive and kind! Would definitely recommend this house!

Family celebration

Beautiful property and great location to walk to the beach. Views of the water from the upper porches. We loved the fact everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom, and the kitchen was well equipped and a chef’s delight. We enjoyed our afternoons at the beach club pool as well - be sure to rent a private cabana! So much fun to watch the golf cart parade on July 4th and see fireworks from every angle of the porch. A perfect rental for your stay in Galveston.

Pointe West - Galveston

This property was exactly what we were looking for .... a house on the beach, with access to a pool/hot tub, away from the spring break crowds, but close enough to the action in Galveston to go out to dinner, etc. Communication with the Owner was excellent and everything was exactly as advertised. Thank you for a great week!

All the conveniences of home

This is the second time we have stayed at this property. Super clean and very well stocked. We had everything we needed…just like home. We wanted for nothing. Great location yo the beach. The owners have been very easy with which to communicate. It’s really a beautiful home. Highly recommend.

Perfect for our family's needs

We loved the layout of the home and that each bedroom had its own bathroom. Loved the blackout curtains in the bunk room. The kitchen was so well equipped. The furniture was all so comfy. The only complaint is that there was no soap or shampoo in the showers. Other than that, it was great. Thanks for an awesome vacation spot!

Salty Kisses - a perfect description

The home is very nicely appointed. It was perfect for our family vacation. About a city block and 1/2 from a fantastic beach that stretches as far as the eye can see. Access to the Pointe West Beach Club was a very pleasant surprise for us. We made use of the pools and hot tub and the club restaurant. The most important thing is that everything was as represented in the Vrbo listing and in e mail exchanges with the owners.

Clean, comfortable & plenty of room

We had a great stay at Salty Kisses with my group of girlfriends from college. This was our 7th trip to Galveston and love staying in Pointe West. (Unfortunately the restaurant and bar at the clubhouse was closed so we couldn’t take advantage of that.). The rooms were great. The only issue we had is one of the rooms has a large 4-poster bed that barely fits in the room so there weren’t any nightstands. Otherwise it was large and clean.

Summer Getaway

Our family of five adults truly enjoyed this home. We loved that everyone had their own room and bathroom! The kitchen was well stocked and provided everything we needed! The grill was a nice addition and we utilized it on two different nights. The house is a short walk to the beach...but a distance from the pool. If you plan on using the Beach Club we would recommend a golf cart. If you're beach people, like us, we found it wasn’t worth the additional expense. House is clean and well maintained. We wish we could go back tomorrow:-)

Beautiful place

This house was just the right size for our family of 4 adults and 2 kids staying for 5 days! Only minutes away from the beach and had toys that my kids could take down there and play so we didn’t have to take a lot with us from Kansas! The only issues we had is that their hot water heater isn’t big enough for that size of house, if one person took a shower or bath you had to wait an hour or so for the next to take one. Also the dryer takes forever to dry, we had to run it for 2 hours every time we did laundry. Other than that this place was absolutely perfect!

This was the fourth time we stay in Pointe West. Unfortunately, this property fell short on our expectations. All of the appliances worked at about 60% of their capacity - dryer didn't dry well enough, fridge didn't keep things cool enough, gas grill outside didn't heat up hot enough, etc... Some of the photos on the HomeAway advertisement are misleading, because the beach is not as close as the photos lead us to believe it was. The downstairs bedroom had some cigarette smoke smell, and some of the outside pillows had cigarette burns. This leads us to believe that the property sometimes hosts smokers. Finally, while not the house's fault, the mosquito situation is atrocious around this property. None of the other properties we stayed at had a similarly bad mosquito issue.

Thank you so much for your review! I will have the appliances looked at. The dryer is one year old and the expensive Weber grill is brand new for the renters to use which we do provide the propane for. Also the renters are not to smoke in the house but it is hard to always know what goes on at the property. The only pillow that had a smoke burn was the outside dining table chair cushion. The rest of the outside patio furniture is brand new this year. Under the listing it locates how far it is from the beach. We are not beachfront but a short walk to the cross over. Also the prices are lower than beachfront. If you wanted beach front row you would have paid more. We do take pride in our house and always are updating the property with new furniture, clean white towels and sheets. We also provide all the beach towels, We strive to always provide all the necessities besides toletries so renters only have to bring the food. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook from appliances to ziplock bags, foil, saran Wrap and containers to store leftovers. We even provided the pac n play for your family and made sure it was clean and safe. The City of Galveston comes and sprays when mosquitos are bad. We have no control over mosquitos and renters normally bring their own bug spray. THIS IS THE FIRST BAD REVIEW SINCE OWNING THIS PROPERY AND WE HAVE HAD IT ON VRBO FOR THREE YEARS! It is to bad YOU believe Salty Kisses fell short of your expectations.

Annual Family Vacation - First Stay at “Salty Kisses” Home in Pointe West

Our family had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home! I had good email conversations and clear instructions from the property owner for arrival, check in , and check our. My questions were always answered promptly. The home is very comfortable and well decorated, and well stocked with all that we needed during our stay. Location was perfect for the Beach Club, pool, beach, restaurant and bar- with the help of a golf cart!. We loved our stay and appreciate the home and the property amenities. I would highly recommend this home for your stay at Pointe West!

What a dream of a property!!!!

Oh Salty kisses- how we love you!!! The house was gorgeous, clean, and so easy to check in to. Michelle, the owner, is a fantastic communicator, so we were well briefed on the house and neighborhood before we arrived. The owners have so thoughtfully prepared this home for their guests, and every need that we had-was fulfilled before we even thought of it. The kitchen was easy to use and had so many amenities…There was so much room throughout the house for myself, my sister, and my four children to spread out and relax. There were times when we had quiet time and the kids were reading in their rooms, and there were times where we had family time and we did puzzles on the dining room table, the house comes fully stocked with games and books and everything that kids will enjoy too. One of my favorite things, was the stack of beach towels that were clean in the laundry room ready to use each day, and having a washing machine and dryer on the property allowed me to stay up with my four kids laundry, and keep the towels clean daily. We actually came home with four suitcases full of clean clothes, instead of dirty ones! That is a win for this mom!!!🤗 We enjoyed the beach, it was very private, hardly any people out there, and we also enjoyed the pool at the club house on separate days, or after the beach. It was a lovely vacation, far exceeding our expectations, and we are so grateful for the hosts and all of their thoughtful preparation‘s and for sharing their home with us. We would for sure book here again!!! Thanks so much!

Beautiful home

This home was equipped with everything we needed! It was beautiful, clean and well-kept. The layout with full baths for all of the bedrooms worked very well for a family with children. Loved the outside shower after a morning at the beach. The owner was very responsive. The grounds and amenities in the community are equally beautiful, clean and well-kept!

Girls Trip!

I took my 16 year old daughter and 6 of her friends for a long weekend and the house was perfect! It is beautiful and comfortable and had everything we needed and more. Michelle is wonderful and we had a really, really great time. We will definitely be back to Salty Kisses!

Had great time in Galveston. Pointe West is a beautiful community with lots activities for families (swimming, game room, beach). Golf cart rental was a convenient way to get around within the community (lots of cart paths).

Wonderful weekend with the family

We stayed at the property for 3 nights over spring break with my parents, husband and two young children. We have stayed at Pointe West before and this was the best location we have stayed at. The house had a great layout with three bedrooms downstairs and one bedroom off the kitchen. The living room and kitchen were very spacious so we didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. We cooked many meals in the kitchen and it was fully equipped to handle what we needed to do. We appreciate the wonderful stay!
