Sunrise Shores cottage on the beautiful Lake Mitchell

⚠️ Please note: only a hand towel, kitchen towels and a bath mat are provided. Guests will need to bring their own towels if they plan on getting wet. 💦 Guests must also supply their own pillows and sheets; only comforters are provided. See bed sizes under "Rooms & Beds".

Enjoy the four seasons at this upscale lakeside cottage! In the summer, enjoy fishing right from the dock; splash, swim, and boat on the beautiful all-sports Lake Mitchell. Enjoy the beautiful sunrises with a cup of coffee in hand from the large wrap-around deck. When you've worn yourself out playing on the lake, relax and enjoy a barbecue or a fire in the fire pit. At night, enjoy the starry northern skies while sitting fireside with friends and family — a truly relaxing experience awaits! The cottage is on the west side of Lake Mitchell on a road with no outlet, so both the lake and the road are quiet. The lake is just feet from your back door and wrap-around deck; the bottom is sugar sand for 60 to 70 feet from shore and is fairly shallow out just as far, making the cottage ideal for summertime splashing and other water activities.

In the autumn, enjoy the gorgeous fall colors as Cadillac puts on its most colorful show! Enjoy cycling in the cool autumn air on the scenic White Pine Trail, or simply relax fireside with family and friends as the summer begins to fade.

In the winter, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, and ice fishing are just steps away from the cottage as you head on out to Lake Mitchell. Bring your ice skates for a quick spin on the frozen lake, or play hockey with friends and family. Visit one of the area's many ski resorts for skiing and snowboarding, or simply relax inside the cottage next to the gas fireplace and enjoy the falling snow and winter scenery.

The cottage is within one hour of many of northern Michigan's major scenic and tourist attractions, making this the perfect place for staging excursions into the abundant wilderness or charming port towns on Lake Michigan. Or simply relax and enjoy life lakeside as the seasons unwind, and the sunrise starts your every day with its splendor!

It was incredible we stayed in early october and the trees were in thier best colors and the fishing was unmatched. The house was cozy and welcoming i would definitely recommend staying here again.

Cottage is right on the lake with a nice little flat lawn. Its located in a nice quiet area but still close to town.The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need and the beds/ furniture were comfortable. They provide kayaks, a canoe, a good size range of life jackets and a dock you can use for your own boat. Really enjoyed our stay and plan to go back.

Disappointed as we stayed here many years ago when it was the original owners. Wife didn’t stay with us after the first night, as she is terrified of spiders which a couple ok, but six or more a day come on. Get an exterminator. I was a bit concerned about what appeared to be water damage, see photos. Over priced for what this place offers.

Relaxing Vacation on Beautiful Lake Mitchell

We had a really great long weekend staying at Michael and Reiko's lake house. We felt refreshed upon leaving. The house has everything you need - the kitchen is stacked with all cooking supplies, there are games and book for rainy days, kayaks/canoe for enjoying the lake. We have kids aged 8 and 5 years old. The best part for them was the shallow water directly infront of the house. They loved jumping off the dock. One thing I would highly recommend are water shoes for kids and adults. The bottom of the lake is sandy but there are some sharp shells. My kids cut their feet the first day and so we invested in 10 pair of water shoes at Meijer and they swam worry-free the rest of our stay.There is no need to bring your own fans. There are plenty provided at the house. We found thr beds to be very comfortable and enjoyed the cool nights sleeping with the windows open.I would highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a relaxing stay on a lake. We will definitely recommend to family and friends.

Great cabin in Cadillac Michigan. Super clean. Great views of Lake Mitchell. Many extras like books, games, air pump, flashlights, dishes and more. The bathroom is quite small but everything worked fine. Master bed is super comfortable. 5 stars review!

Upon arrival we were impressed with the cottage and location. Although the weather was not cooperating we knew this ahead of time but enjoyed our stay. Only changes recommended would be to update to more comfortable furniture. My opinion

A weekend of catching up.

This clean, cozy cottage was perfect for our home base as we could go shopping or out for dinner nearby or stay in with a working kitchen and fireplace for hours chatting.

Cadillac retreat

This cottage is very clean and cozy and has a great easterly view of the lake. Its description is accurate. A couple of suggestions, have some winter weight blankets and pillows available. Having a bit of coffee, sugar and some juice or milkwould've been a nice touch.

Relaxing weekend away

I have stayed in alot of properties in multiple states, this one is top 3! Everything was very clean and as described. This is a beautiful property in a quiet area on the lake. We will be back!

Short family vacation

The cottage on lake Mitchell was very nice, very clean, and very relaxing. The lake is right outside the back door and is great for swimming, wading, kayaking, fishing, etc... We enjoyed the back deck and the firepit and playing cornhole as well! Great place to stay and a great town to visit! We

A Perfect Little Cottage for Our Family

From the moment we walked in we knew this was the perfect place for our 2 night stay. We spent hours fishing off the dock, took the canoe out and even swam on our one warm day. I loved how clean and cozy the home felt!

Great little cottage!

Perfect location on the lake. Loved the sun room with all of the windows looking out on the water. Dock worked great for our boat. Clean cottage. Comfortable furniture. Bathroom was a little snug but nothing we couldnt manage. Good comunication with host

Very nice accommodations

We truly enjoyed our stay! The cottage is very comfortable and the area is very quiet. Having the lake just a stone’s throw from the deck was an added bonus. Exactly what we were looking for so we could get away from the hustle and bustle of the city!
