Beach Villa 2424 is a newly renovated vacation rental condo on Captiva Island within the exclusive South Seas Resort! If you love spectacular views, sunsets to match, and being within walking distance to the quaint village shops, restaurants, and fun of Captiva Island, then Beach Villa 2424 is perfect for you! Prepare to be whisked away to a tropical paradise like no other at Villa 2424, the epitome of luxury and relaxation.

Nestled amidst pristine white sands and crystal-clear waters, this vacation haven offers breathtaking views and unrivaled amenities. Every moment spent in Beach Villa 2424 is like a dream come true, making it the ultimate destination for your well-deserved escape.

This 2 bedroom, 2 bath Gulf-front retreat is beautifully appointed with newer furnishings and mattresses and is fully stocked with everything you need to make your stay more enjoyable. Have meals on the spacious lanai as the sun sets over the horizon, or enjoy the quirky Island vibe of Captiva Island's unique restaurants, bars, and art galleries located just a short walk away. This property is on the 2nd floor, which gives you expansive views but is close to the elevator for your convenience.

Please be aware that accommodations booked through third-party agencies do not have full access to the amenities within the South Seas Resort, ie no trolley, main pool, beach chairs, and cabanas, or kids programs, on-site restaurants, or ice cream shop. In order to have access to such amenities, you must book direct with South Seas Plantation. If you have questions, comments or concerns pleased contact us anytime. Thank you!*

We loved having the pull out sofa so that we could spread out and have plenty of room for our family of five. Beach was beautiful and our kids enjoyed the pool. Select Vacation Rental staff was extremely responsive and helpful when needed...like when we wanted to extend our vacation and extra night because we just didn’t want to leave. We had a great time in a great condo.

We re-booked for next year.The elevator was out of service which was tough checking in and out but we managed. In both bathrooms there is a part missing with the sink drainage capability that should be checked out.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family had the best week in Captiva! The rental has an amazing ocean view and is just steps from the most beautiful beach. It is clean and perfectly furnished for 6 guests, with everything you need to be comfortable. It is also just steps away from the Starbucks, Doc Fords, and the convenience store at the entrance to the South Seas Island Resort. They had beach essentials for our long days at the beach, including a boogie board and sand toys for the kids. We sat in the screened porch every evening watching the most stunning sunsets, after a full beach day where we would see dolphins, manatees and manta rays swimming just steps from us. We will absolutely be returning to Captiva Island and will stay again at 2424 Beach Villa.

Excellent condo

Condo was as described, excellent location. We have been coming to South Seas for 15 years and love the resort. This is a convenient location to the Starbucks that we frequent and walking distance to many restaurants! Condo was clean and well equipped.

Areas for improvement

Property could have been cleaner. Living room tv was having issues. Not enough trash bags or dish soap for the length of stay. No cleaning supplies in villa.

You won't sleep much here

The property was dated. Furniture was stained, curtains were paper thin, old and dingy. Mattresses were terribly old and uncomfortable. The unit had a horrendous smell. We literally had to plug our noses for days. It made me feel sick. We were so excited to come on vacation and catch up on sleep, but instead we were very sleep deprived every night because the curtains didn't block out any light. There were huge bright lights outside the bedroom windows so it was literally like sleeping with the sun shining in your eyes. We found several dirty dishes with a lot of caked on food. Some of the "clean" towels had big ugly stains. I think it is just time to update some of the lines. Buy real curtains, make some cosmetic changes, and the place could be nice again. But I guess if people keep renting, it will not get updated and I can't blame the owners for that. I was surprised by the relatively good reviews of the place. On the positive side, the unit is nice for walking to tennis or restaurants. It was surprisingly quiet at night despite it being the height of spring break. Mostly all young families.

Beautiful location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Condo was in prefect location , nice updated and prefect for family of 4. Loved everything about that. Condo was clean when we arrived, but when we walked into condo it had a terrible fish odor. Thought it was from the previous visitors but had terrible getting rid of the smell. It got better over the week but wasn’t great. We ended up buy frebreeze plug ins that helped a little. Hot water only lasted for 1 -2 people at end of the day. Was nice to have use of the locker for beach items! Would be nice to have a keyless enter or more keys. Condo had only 2 keys and with 4 of us ( 2 teenagers) it was a pain shuffling keys around.

My only issue is there is not in unit laundry and the laundry room is on the 1st floor and wasn't functional in our building. This was frustrating with little kids, but not a huge deal.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Went during covid and probably not a clear pic of how busy this place would normally be. (Mar 6-13, 2012) Very strange how they do things = no use of beach chairs or umbrellas on beach, or golf course or any of the restaurants and a few pools. So the beach chairs and umbrella that came with this villa were child size. One umbrella that provided enough shade for 1 person. Chairs that were child size very flimsy and just a regular upright chair,. no adjustment what so ever. Very uncomfortable. I think we were very lucky having good neighbors who were quiet because these buildings are quite old and dated. Balcony very close and visible to others - can hear everything everyone is saying in and outside of their condo. Even when the elevator goes up and down.I can rent a beautiful private home on a caribbean island with a private pool for the price of this condo. ( Done it many times ) Also not sure who would handle situations that might arise when staying here.
