Spectacular beach front views with a short walk to members only beach

This 3 bedroom 2.5 bathroom custom built home has amazing sweeping and unobstructed views of the Gulf of Mexico with magnificent nightly sunset views. The home is beautifully landscaped and comes with a custom 4 seat golf cart for transportation on the island. The home is just steps from a private beach and guests also have access to the club pool and tennis courts for an amazing and peaceful getaway.
This home has 3 full bedrooms on the lower level with access to a private screened porch from the King and Queen bedrooms. The master suite has a king bed, private bath, bedside charging stations and a 40" Smart TV.
The second bedroom has a queen size bed, access to the porch, and a 40" Smart TV.
The third bedroom is perfect for children with 2 bunk beds with their own charging stations.

On the main living level enjoy an incredible 6 door sliding doors which fold into the walls to maximize the incredible view of the Gulf of Mexico. The living space is set up with a 58" Smart TV with access to YouTube TV, Netflix and other streaming services to watch live TV, movies and your favorite series. The home features fast WiFi throughout.

The kitchen is well equipped with reverse osmosis water, a built in commercial Keurig coffee maker (bring your own K cups), a blender, toaster, microwave and stainless steal appliances. There is also a full size washer/dryer.

Outside there is a gas Weber Grill and grilling utensils (propane gas provided)

The private access beach is less than a minute walk from your front door where you can enjoy the beautiful Gulf of Mexico water, spot a manatee or dolphin, and search for shells as you walk the quiet beaches.

This home is located on North Captiva Island. Remote and relatively undiscovered the island can only be reached by ferry, private boat or small plane. The private community is reminiscent of old Florida during simpler times. The nearest airport is Fort Myers and once on the island travel is by golf cart, bike or foot.

In addition to the beach and club pool, enjoy the protected state park which makes up over half of the island. Here you can enjoy quiet walks or a jog as you enjoy wildlife and explore secluded beaches.

This home and the island offer an easy escape to a paradise you will want to return to again and again.

Let me start by saying that we had a fantastic time (hence the rating) and are planning on coming back to this property!My two wish list items: refreshed towel supply, especially heavily used hand towels, wash cloths, etc.; upgrades to bathroom hardware, such as faucets, drains, as we were barely able to use the sink in the secondary bathroom.The layout of the house was great, the kitchen very well equipped, both small and large appliances very nice! Looooooooooved the location: a very short and beautiful walk to arguably the best beach on the island. Loved the sandbar and sunsets!!! The Shallyā€™s property managers were exceptional. We will be back as we miss North Captiva already!

You MUST Stay Here!This was our first trip to North Captiva Island, and it absolutely wonā€™t be our last. Wineā€™d Down was the perfect home base for our family of four (kids ages 15 and 18). The island itself is a dream, and every detail of this stay was seamless. We used Island Girl Ferry Serviceā€”easy, friendly, and beyond accommodating, even when we missed our scheduled ferry due to a flight delay. We also used Shallyā€™s to stock our kitchen beforehand and they went above and beyondā€”meeting us at the dock, loading our luggage, and leading us to the house with our golf cart ready to go. We didnā€™t lift a bag until unpacking!We did have an issue with the golf cart the first day, but Shallyā€™s mechanic was quick, kind, and helpful, even bringing us a replacement until repairs were made. Rich, the owner of Wineā€™d Down, personally checked in with usā€”something weā€™ve never experienced at a vacation rental.The house is ideally located: steps to the beach, a quick ride to other access points, and close to Mangoā€™s and Barnacles for ice cream, lunch, and pool time. We explored the island, soaked up the sunsets, and took nightly golf cart drives.Weā€™ve been to a lot of beach vacation homes, but this one tops the list. Trust meā€”donā€™t walk, RUN to book Wineā€™d Down!

Quiet getaway

This home was perfect for our family. They had all the beach accessories needed. The golf cart made it easy to explore the island and get to the beach. The house is gorgeous. But the deck off the kitchen/living room was our favorite spot. We sat there every night and watched the most beautiful sunsets. We absolutely loved the chill vibe of the island and the beautiful beaches with crystal clear water. We encountered several manatee while paddle boarding as well as dolphins. The boys snorkeled and saw lots of fish. They loved all the cool shells too. I would recommend this home to all of my friends and family.

Family Vacay

We had a wonderful, relaxing time. We spent most of the day on the beach, grilling out, experienced the local restaurants and did a couple charters. One of the best weeks of my life. The downfall, I had to leave.

Winter Break Perfection

This was our first time on North Captiva and we will be back and at this house! The house was the perfect location right next to the beach and a short walk or golf cart drive to the heated pool. The house was perfect for our family - 2 adults, 5 and 3 year old. We loved being able to watch the sunset from the expansive balcony. We made all of our meals in the well stocked kitchen. The property manager was very responsive to any questions or needs we had.

Magical Sunsets with the family

Our family had such a great time here. The location of the house was perfect. It was spacious, clean, and stocked with everything we needed. Having the floats, chairs, paddleboard, etc. available during our stay was super convenient. We will definitely be back and would love to stay in the house again. The sunsets view from the patio is truly magical

Great stay on North Captiva!

We really enjoyed the island and our rental. The view off the deck is gorgeous, especially at sunset. Location is quiet and a short walk to the beach. Golf cart is a must and they provide that! The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. The BBQ grill was nice to have. We had fresh fish delivered. The rental agency arranges. We were out for the day and came back to it in our refrigerator. If you are going to North Captiva keep in mind that they are still recovering from the hurricane. There is only one restaurant and it serves bar type food. We were told that another was going to be open soon. Over the Waterfront is only open W-Sunday. We weren't able to get reservations. Make them before you go. The beaches are lovely. The shelling is excellent. Lots of dolphins and manatees. If you want a nice quiet vacation in a lovely setting this is the place. Management is very responsive and helpful.

This is our second time staying at Wine'd down. THe owners communicated in a clear and timely manner. Everything works! with other VRBOs this has not been the case. THe kitchen has everything you need and the beds are very comfortable. THe outside toys were a great addition!! THe view of the sunset was awesome!

Beautiful home, beautiful island

Absolutely loved staying here. When booking, I was worried it would be a chore getting to the beach from the house but it is a short walk (or even shorter golf cart ride with parking right at the beach) and it wasnā€™t troublesome at all, even with 4 kids under the age of 7. Property managers were helpful any time I reached out. And we loved the island itself.
