This property is a gem. High up a hill with views of the valley and the Buccaneer Hotel. When not exploring we spent most of the time on the large porch enjoying the view and the constant breeze. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking our own meals. The rooms were spacious, uncluttered and pleasantly decorated. Centrally located, we had a great time driving to the beaches and trails to enjoy snorkeling and hiking. We highly recommend this cottage for your stay in St Croix.

This property exceeded our expectations! It was absolutely breathtaking! Quick and easy commute from the airport. The sunsets every night were beautiful! Alex was very attentive and quick to respond to any questions we had. She was so knowledgeable about the island and really helped us easily find anything we needed. We couldn’t recommend this property enough, you will not be disappointed. Alex, Jay and Penny were the most gracious hosts!

Perfect Poolside Vacation Location

Sailor’s Rest was the perfect spot to sit by the pool with a drink and relax. It’s an easy drive to a grocery store and to town for dinner. Alex and her furry helpers were amazing hosts.

Spectacular Getaway

Breathtaking view of the bay and ocean. The accommodations inside and out were fabulous. We loved relaxing at the pool that we had to ourselves. Alex was a great host!

Perfect Place and Location

The place had amazing views. We enjoyed spending time outside in the porch area and by the pool. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and unit was clean. We loved our daily visits from Penny and Tippy!

Amazing view!

Judith's Fancy is a great place to stay being centrally located on the island. The view from Sailor's rest is amazing and very private. Alex our hostess was very accommodating with her home and we would recommend Sailor's Rest to anyone looking for a private getaway.

Blissful Paradise

What a wonderful location, property and hosts. We have been coming to STX for over 20 years, and this was one of the best places we have ever stayed. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

Magical visit!

We were completely delighted with our visit to Sailors Rest. Alex was welcoming, thorough and responsive, the property could not have been more wonderful -- the view and the quiet/peacefulness were breathtaking, the rooms were comfortable, and the weather and persistent breeze were perfect. Can't wait to go back, and will definitely recommend to friends and family!

Tranquil and beautiful

A zen paradise! If you really want a place to kick back off the grid during a visit to St Croix (for 1-or 2 people),with panoramic views of the sea, a lagoon, and rolling hills in a gated community, then go no further!

Thank you Pamela! We love independent women travelers here at Sailor's Rest and, as an occasional solo traveler myself, I understand the importance of feeling safe and comfortable when you are traveling on your own, which is one of the reasons I love the neighborhood of Judith's Fancy so much!

Outstanding!

This was by far the best property we have ever stayed in for any of our trips. It was spotlessly, clean, decorated very luxuriously and had a view to die for. The property owner was very good communicator and gave us privacy to enjoy our anniversary. If you are looking for an over the top experience, this is it!

Lovely

Stayed 1 week at Sailors Rest for a little R&R. The apartment was very clean, comfortable & well equipped with the most amazing views. We really enjoyed the pool and outdoor living spaces. Alex was great with all communications which made the whole process a breeze!

Perfect stay in St. Croix

We were so glad we chose Sailor’s Rest for our stay in St. Croix. The central location was great for accessing beaches and the different parts of the island. One of the best features was being in a gated community, knowing we were safe every day of our travels. The view was outstanding. Alex provided everything we could need for going to the beach and the property was very clean. We really enjoyed the pets that came and visited us. I would certainly recommend staying here and would love to return in the future.

Perfect!

We loved exploring St. Croix and this property was absolutely the perfect place to stay. We spent most mornings on a walk/ hike through the nature preserve. We enjoyed the view from our veranda so much that we cooked dinner several nights and ate outside. Alex was wonderful. We plan to return!!

A Fantastic Slice of Paradise

Our stay at Alex's place in Judith's Fancy was fabulous. The accommodations were comfortable and clean, and you absolutely could not beat the view. We were delighted to find that the property sits right on a bioluminescent cove where we could see kayakers cruise through after dark. We loved the swim up bar in the pool where we swam under the stars. Overall, this was a trip we will remember forever as one of the best we have ever had.

Just Amazing!

What a perfect spot to enjoy a relaxing vacation with an unforgettable view. So much to mention that we enjoyed but to narrow it down we loved the VIEW, pool, fully stocked kitchen, grill, and visits from Penny, Tippy, and Ira. We recommend stopping in at Blue's Backyard BBQ and The Landing Beach Bar. One of the few places in our travels where we would go back again. Thank you!

Breathtaking

We had an amazing time and the views were beautiful, the house was clean well maintained and the owner Alexandria was super welcoming/helpful. I will definitely be back don’t chose anywhere else to stay, This house was over the top. I can’t forget to mention Ella the house pet is soooo cute and sweet for the dog lovers out there be ready to enjoy your stay with a really sweet golden retriever.

Perfect Home Base for STX vacation

This property is perfect for a couple or small family visiting St Croix. We always rent a house on vacation and have stayed all over the island. I was a little hesitant to stay in a guests apartment as I didn’t want to feel like a was vacationing with strangers. It was a well appointed, comfortable quarters and private quarters. Our only visitor was Penny the friendly golden retriever and she was SO WELCOME to hang out with us. The bed was comfortable, the pool was warm and the view was stunning. Don’t hesitate to book this property.

Wonderful in all aspects.

We enjoyed our stay at Sailor's Rest, It was the perfect mix of scenery and peacefulness. Couldn't have asked for a better host, we were provided with information and restaurant choices. Savant in Christiansted was wonderful but make sure you sit in the courtyard to get the full experience. My wife enjoyed how their Golden Retriever came down and welcomed us home everyday and came down for a morning visit. We would defiantly stay here again, I wish we would have been able to tour the Bio-luminescent Bay they have near the house.

AMAZING PROPERTY!!!

Thank you C & C for the kind review! It was a pleasure having you, especially at this time of re-building. St. Croix has finally turned the corner after the storm, between getting the power poles replaced and the vegetation growing back the island is once again looking like its beautiful self. Here at Sailor's Rest we have come back stronger than ever, with a new 20KW whole house generator (LP so it is not noisy) as well as a solar battery back up system. This means we will NEVER BE WITHOUT POWER AGAIN!!! What a revelation, it's a whole new world and we are very excited. In the next week we'll also get a solar water heater installed for the pool! Paradise just got even sweeter, just in time for our high season. St. Croix is open and ready for tourists!
