Ocean Views, Easy Access to Best Beach on Island!

Boardwalk to the Beach only 1 house away.

Enjoy uncrowded beaches, fishing, boating, and bike paths all over the island.

Fripp Island is a wildlife sanctuary, with deer grazing in the yards, over 170 species of birds, alligators in the lakes, dolphins playing in the waves, and Loggerhead sea turtles nesting and hatching on the shores.

The main house is 3BR2BA with beds for 8.

There is a 1BR1BA guest house approximately 10 few feet behind the main house that you may rent for an additional fee per week. This has a queen in the bedroom and a twin in the LR/DR/kitchen area..

I try to rent from a Saturday OR to a Saturday during the summer season because that's when I have to make almost all my income for the year, and that's when most weekly guests wish to arrive/depart. If I "cross the week-end" I'm much more likely to end up with little pockets of days that are very difficult -- or impossible -- to rent. My goal is to avoid short pockets of unrented days and also to allow people looking for a full week to be able to rent from Saturday to Saturday.

I am not offering amenity cards this year and, as far as I know, the only way to get them is through a home owner who is offering them.

Thanks for a lovely stay!

Stayed two nights celebrating a friend's birthday. Incredible location -- access to the most lovely, serene beach down a beautiful, lengthy boardwalk that's steps away from the home. We will definitely stay here again!

Amazing

We had a wonderful weekend trip, enjoyed the house & location just a short walk to beach, where it was quiet, less populated and the water was calm and soothing. We enjoyed the wildlife throughout the island as well.

Dog gone relaxing

Golf cart made a huge difference. Loved bringing the dog with us! Flexible owner as we left to escape the hurricane then came back when all was clear. She had availability, so we stayed longer. Just looking for a place to relax and enjoy? This was it for us!

This is an old home with no upgrades. The listing says it sleeps 9 but that's only because they put five sleeping spots in one room. The home lacked cleanliness -- ceiling fan blades were filthy, cobwebs in doors/windows and above bed, towels are soured, 5 light bulbs were out, etc. The beach access had alligator warning signs, and at the end of the wooden walkway we would have to navigate a significant area of standing water to get to the beach, which made it inaccessible to us. The manager/owner was responsive, but the issues were not fixable during our stay. It's in a great location if the beach is accessible.

Beautiful island. Long walk to beach. House had only been surfaced clean. Spider webs and dust everywhere. Called owner and she is aware of the issue. Furniture and appliances are old Needs to be updated.

Great spot

Property was exactly as described. It was a bit dated, but clean, comfortable, and close to the beach. The golf cart worked properly without any problems. The host was extremely responsive with all of our questions or requests. I would definitely rent this property again. The only reason I did not give five stars in every area was the lack of ability to get amenity cards. With the new management, lack of amenity cards is very hampering for activities and available, fripp necessities. hoping amenity cards will be reconsidered in the future.

Reliving the 70ā€™s!!

House was obviously built in the 70ā€™s, and had not been updated in the least..could barely open the sliding glass doors to the porch, they were stuck in place. House was not clean so luckily the weather was nice so we could spend most of our time on the beach or on the porch. Although very disappointed with the house itself, the location was very good...just steps away from the boardwalk to the beach. You could hear the surf from the porch, although there really wasnā€™t much of an ocean view. Just disappointing that a property owner would not take more pride in their property..simple things like nails popping up all over the porch..could be dangerous for small children and it would only take a few hours to repair. The homes around the property were beautiful and well maintained, so the disrepair on this house was only more evident. Loved Fripp Island, but not this property.

Renter Beware

To be up front, I never write negative reviews because I donā€™t want to hurt someoneā€™s source of income but, our stay at this house was so horrific that I feel compelled to warn others. First there was the stench that we struggled to get rid of because the screens in the house were so bent and filled with holes that we couldnā€™t open most of the windows (it smelled like cat urine and, after a few days, like a dead animal). Then there was something large in the floor scratching and chewing. Finally, my sister went to turn on the tub and a huge black blob came out with the water and it turned out to be hundreds of ants. I canā€™t even tell you how disgusting it was. It happened again the next day. If this house were inexpensive, I might not have expected much but the exorbitant price of the property (it's not even on the beach) is a lot to spend on a house that is in dire need of repair and has a bad critter problem. Other than that, it was well-enough equipped. Bev was responsive but ineffective. She offered me a 10% refund if I didnā€™t put up a negative review but it wasnā€™t enough to convince me not to post this.

Pictures not accurate

Property owner was very attentive and gave me updates on the property prior to our arrival. Was dismayed to see that the pictures posted online were not an accurate description of what the property currently looks like. Furniture in family room is completely different and not as nice, bedroom was different as well. Also upon arrival we had to sweep ceilings and floor for cobwebs and dead bugs. Cleaning crew needs a lot to be desired which I relayed to property owner.

Sometimes the truth is in what is unsaid rather than what is said.

My friend is recovering from heart surgery and we thought a beach retreat would be perfect medicine. Things I wish I knew. The ocean is a long walk from the house. The stairs to the front entrance were an unwelcome surprise as my friend is also struggling with a hip injury. The house left the impression that the bear minimum was being done, to keep it rent worthy. However, the weather was perfect and we had all we needed to have a wonderful time!

My first trip to Fripp Island

I came with my brother and his family who had been to Fripp several times before. I was so excited to get to enjoy the amenities that Fripp had to offer; but unfortunately was not able to as Fripp Island requires amenity cards. I do not fault the owner of our property. However, I feel that iif people buy to live there and visitors pay to visit there; they should have access to everything Fripp has to offer. That was disappointiing for me and my kids. I love seeing the deer and the beauty that Fripp has to offer.

Cleaning

House was not clean. Couch was very worn and dirty. Vertical blinds were rusty and fell down when touched in bedroom. Oven was not clean at all. Spider webs on sliding glass door handles. Sliding Glass windows were dirty. The lay out of house itself was nice and great location and very roomy. I would rent again if cleaned properly

Just steps from the ocean. Most beautiful part of Fripp. Loved that the kitchen was open to the the main living area. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. We will definitely stay again!!

Great Fun for the Family

We had 6 in our group and this house was perfect for us. The Golf cart got us around the island to fish and go to the beach. We had a great time. The house was clean and pretty well stocked. No complaints... had a little confusion on whether the golf cart was part of the rental or an extra fee. Beverly was very quick to return phone calls and e-mails. I would definitely rent this house again.
