Gello is an ancient village of 9 stone holiday homes and a church, which stands on the top of a hill in the Val di Cecina, with an exceptional view of the Tuscan countryside, 18 km from the sea. The holiday homes of Gello are renovated and furnished with care, and offer some more comfort than a normal farmhouse, along with the charm of a stay in a village without time. You can rent a holiday in Gello in any season, even during the winter.
Located on the top of the hill in view of the sea this house was until 1959 the only primary school for the children of Gello and the nearby farms.
The distribution of the rooms has been maintained, keeping the single room on the upper floor crossed by a large arch that was the only room for the five elementary classes. In this room has been created a double bedroom, with a large desk and a bathroom. On the ground floor some non-bearing divisions that separated the rooms were eliminated. In the large single room on two levels there is a living room with a large fireplace, a dining area and an open kitchen.
Outside, part of the lawn that looks towards the sunset is paved in terracotta for outdoor activities.
