Peaceful Waterfront Retreat!!!

Peaceful and relaxing, Tranquility Cove is a beautifully decorated 5 bedroom home with gorgeous granite countertops in the kitchen as well as all four bathrooms. Flat screen TVs in every bedroom and living room as well as Wifi internet access. All bed sheets and bath towels provided. Boat and jetski rentals available at nearby marinas or feel free to bring your own boat and use one of our covered boat slips. Four kayaks are available for your personal use. Fish right from our double-decker boat house or sit back and observe all of the beautiful wildlife that Lake Gaston has to offer from the upper sun deck. If you are lucky, you might even see our local celebrities "Justin Beaver" who occasionally swims through the cove at dusk or "Elon Muskrat" who gets up very early morning. You might even see playful otters and pups. You don't need a boat as the fishing is great right from the dock and Lake Gaston boasts a healthy largemouth bass and walleye population. The cove is off the main lake and perfect for swimming and floating.

Main floor has the Master Bedroom with a King Sleep Number bed and private full bathroom with Jacuzzi tub and shower. A second bedroom on this floor has a Queen bed with separate full bathroom. The well-stocked kitchen overlooks the living area and has multiple doors leading out to the deck with gas grill and multiple seating areas. The huge deck overlooks the quiet cove, boat house and lakeside firepit and patio which is perfect for after dinner S'mores.

Upper Level has two bedrooms and one full bathroom. One bedroom has a King bed and the second bedroom is a very spacious bonus room with two Queen beds and two twin beds.

Basement level has one bedroom with a Queen bed and separate full bathroom. In addition, there is a large tiled recreation room with books, games, Xbox, Atari Flashback 6 gaming system, air hockey, foosball and large 65" Satellite TV.

WE DO SUPPLY ALL BEDSHEETS AND BATH TOWELS

WE DO ALLOW USE OF ONE COVERED BOAT SLIP, BUT DO NOT ALLOW USE OF BOAT LIFTS.

NO PETS ALLOWED!!

DURING PEAK SUMMER SEASON WE RENT THE PROPERTY SATURDAY TO SATURDAY WITH A 7 NIGHT MINIMUM.

Great Retreat

The view and accommodations are just what we were looking for. The kitchen is well-appointed for anyone interested in cooking, and there is good separation between the bedrooms for comfortable privacy.

This home was exactly as advertised and a perfect escape for siblings and our adult children. Distance to the dock and walkway are very manageable. Meredith was helpful throughout our stay and very responsive. 10/10 recommend

Pleasure Cove is truly that!

Our extended family of 12 stayed here for the Christmas weekend. It was amazing to have a place all of us could be together for the holidays. The host was very kind and prompt with any questions we had. The peoperty was also beautiful with an idyllic waterfront setting.

Wonderful stay

Our family had a wonderful stay at Tranquility Cove. The house was plenty big to accommodate our large family. The kitchen is adequately stocked. We loved the kayaks and took them out daily. Sitting on the dock at sunset to watch the beavers come out for their evening was also a highlight, we saw them every night. We loved the firepit area as well. Wonderful place for a relaxing lake vacation.

Lake Gaston wedding

We had a family of 10 there for a wedding and had a blast. The space was perfect for us to play games and get dolled up for the wedding. We did not get a chance to go on the water, but having lived on the lake years ago, I highly recommend it! Thank you for your hospitality and comfy beds:)

Extended Family Vacation

We chose Lake Gaston for its proximity to family in the area, we booked Tranquility Cove for the multiple King bed rooms and the super bedroom for the kid cousins to stay together. The house had everything we needed to have a great stay and was decorated with the right touch of lake decor. The beds were comfortable and the house was clean. We had a little snag with the WiFi due to a fallen tree, but the owners were responsive and worked to have someone out to fix it. If give the opportunity we would return!

Week of relaxation!

Our group had a great stay at the beginning of July! The location being in a small cove right off of the main lake was awesome. It was super quiet but really easy to access the rest of the lake when taking the boat out. The kitchen was stocked, so cooking for our group was very easy. The hosts were kind and very responsive if we had to reach out for any reason. The WiFi was strong enough for 2 of our group members to work remotely for a few days with no issue! We would definitely stay here again!

Great family birthday weekend!

We loved our fun family celebration for my mom's 80th birthday! Three generations loved the house, the location, the kayaks, the firepit and we will always have our memories of this weekend! What's not to love?

After 20 years of vacationing in the Outer Banks, our family was looking for a different destination, and we definitely hit the jackpot with our stay at Lake Gaston. We were an extended family of 13 (ages ranging from 6 months to 79 years old), and everyone had a great week. We especially loved the cove...it was so serene. We enjoyed many adventures in the 4 kayaks and also brought 2 inflatable stand up paddle boards. We rented a boat for 2 days and enjoyed towing a raft behind that. The lake was definitely not overcrowded. The kitchen is well-stocked, and there is ample seating for everyone. Meredith was great at responding to questions and providing extra information. We were all sad to leave...definitely a sign of a great vacation.

Great family vacation

The house was great for our group of 10. It had everything we could hope for including a dock big enough for 2 boats. We had a great time whether on the lake or in the house ( due to T-Storms). Would definitely recommend this home to others.

Tranquility Cove, July 9-16, 2022

We enjoyed the property overall with the following exceptions: No firepit, none of the floors had been swept/vacuumed, there was trash in drawers & under beds (i.e. an old retainer), the right kitchen sink & drain rack were filthy, the Sleep Number beds' controls did not work & the mattresses kept sinking under the person's weight, & lastly, both hall bath sinks had really slow drains.

Great family vacation

The setting of our family vacation was beautiful. The kayaks (even tho two had pretty bad leaks) were a great hit. We watched Justin Beaver every morning and had beautiful sunsets each evening. Kitchen was well equipped and everyone loved playing air hockey. Only suggestion would be to spray better for spiders - we all came home with lots of bites - from inside the house - not outside. But - overall - well worth the trip and had plenty of space for our crew!!
