2 Bedroom apartment located in a 80 year old home in the heart of downtown Rochester. Modern comfort within walking distance to Mayo Clinic Campus, restaurants, shopping and more. Located on the main floor. There are 3 stairs to get from the front door to the apartment door.
Fully furnished with all kitchen items, bedding, towels. Price includes everything including WIFI, parking, and laundry which is shared and located in the basement (you provide your own detergent) Large screen ROKU smart TV's in living room and both bedrooms. .

Mayo Clinic Campus is an easy 10-20 minute walk depending on which building you need to go to. Grocery shopping, Restaurants, Walgreens, salons, Brewery's and more are within 2-3 blocks.

A pretty park and river is also within 2 blocks.
During the summer months, you can relax in the evenings in the backyard and enjoy our beautiful Minnesota summer nights.

In Rochester for visit to Mayo Clinic. House is just off main road. It was about a 5 minute drive to Mayo (even with all the construction). Home was cozy and had everything we needed. If we need to come back, I will definitely check to see if this listing is available again!!

Such a comfortable place. The recliners were very nice and I loved the bed it was so good for my back. Joann was a wonderful host and so helpful with us having to stay extra days. I would definitely stay again.

While Joann is very nice, and the place has vast potential, she isn't much of a housekeeper. Ages old dust on the blinds and knickknacks. Grime on all of the poorly stocked kitchen items, (not a sharp knife in the place and the scissors didn't cut paper) cabinets and drawers sticky and hard to open. I washed everything I used before using it, and left it on the counter so I'd know it had already been cleaned. Kitchen sink sprayer broken,showerhead not much better. Dead bugs on windowsills. No extra linens I could find. Patio furniture covered in massive cobwebs. I'd not even venture to ask when the community stairs to the basement were swept last. Back stairs a health hazard. I was aware there were more than 1 unit and we shared the laundry facilities, I had no idea there wasn't a separate thermostat and she wants it kept Cold! My 1st time using VRBO and sharing a thermostat seems to not fit the VRBO "get the place to yourself " motto.Honesty, I am unsure as to whether the home would pass a fire or building inspection.The check in process consisted of her leaving the keys in the backdoor. I wasn't particularly pleased about arriving in a strange place, in the middle of the night, knowing that Anyone could've walked right in. My advice, take the money I just paid, hire some decent cleaning people to scrub Everything! Place a keypad on the door. And even dollar or thrift store shopping for kitchen accouterments would be better than the age old stuff thats currently there.

Quiet and comfortable as I recovered from surgery. Located close to St. Mary's hospital. Nice kitchen and spacious. Rulo TV was a treat.

I would do it again.

I had a minor surgery at Mayo. This house is conveniently located, very comfortable and quiet. It was exactly what I needed.

Recovery retreat

Property was everything we needed with a great location close to walking path along Cascade Creek, groceries and Walgreens. I was recovering from ankle surgery at Mayo and was able to navigate the property really well for everything I needed. Joanne was very and helpful

One mile from the Mayo Hospital

If you or a loved one visiting Mayo Hospital, this house is the perfect location for you. It also offers shopping. There’s a Walgreens on the corner a grocery store across the way you have everything right at your fingertips and you don’t even have to move your car. You can walk everywhere. Also, the host Joanne was exceptionally helpful

Home away from home

We stayed for 3 weeks and a few days. It was 5 minutes to St Mary’s at the Mayo Clinic. We made all of our meals and the times we had a question Joanne responded right away. I had a power wheelchair and we were able to charge it outside. So that worked for us. If we ever come again to Rochester Minnesota we would definitely look into staying here.

Great location, quirky house

House was in a GREAT location and check in process was easy. Bottom door handle had quite a bit of wiggle room, but between that and deadbolt felt really safe. This is a shared house with wooden floors; there will be creaking and popping but we never heard anyone else talking, just occasionally someone walking or turning on water; it did not bug us. My only negatives: We booked this listing specifically because it had a washer and dryer. When I went to use them on Tuesday at around 5:00 PM, it didn’t work. It turns out, the filter was missing and the host told me I must have removed it. There are three “apartments” that have access to the washer and dryer and it wasn’t me. They later found the filter outside on a trash can, so the host could check the ring camera and see it wasn’t me. Then she said it wasn’t the filter that was the issue. There was no dryer from 5PM on Thursday to Tuesday at 2:36. I asked for a partial refund because of the time, money, and headache of having to locate a laundromat, do laundry, etc (while husband is in hospital for cardiac surgery). She replied that she couldn’t/wouldn’t and that s*** happens.I felt that the over two hours I spent locating a laundromat and washing laundry (in addition the the money spent) warranted some sort of partial refund. Also: shower has a wood-cased window and tile that is broken/peeling away. It looks like a hotbed for moisture and mold (no vent in bathroom).

Perfect Home Away from Home

This cozy home was perfect for my 2 week stay in Rochester. Mayo, groceries and restaurants were within easy walking distance and the host was excellent. I slept like a baby while there in the quiet neighborhood and for sure I’ll be back.

Great place

In Rochester for surgery

Very comfortable stay while in Rochester for surgery and hospital stay. The weather was great so made for pleasant walk to Methodist hospital and walking paths. The TVs use Roku streaming devices so it is confusing for us not used to streaming! I did manage to find most of the shows and sports I was looking for however. Joanne is a very gracious host and easy to communicate with.

Welcoming home

This was a very nice place to stay. Very convenient location for appointments at Mayo and also going to visit my husband while he was in the hospital. I felt it was safe, clean and felt very welcoming. Joanne was very easy to communicate with. I would definitely stay here again

Great Stay in Rochester

We were looking for a comfortable place to stay during our trip to Rochester and the Mayo Clinic. The location put us within a short drive to Mayo and having a close grocery store, restaurants, and Walgreens, was a plus. Joanne is a great host and responded to our questions quickly. Perfect for Mayo clinic appointments

I had a very good stay at this apartment. It was so very close to both Mayo clinic campuses. It really made things easy to navigate the many appointments that I had. We unfortunately we're not able to take advantage of the bike trails that were so very close other than a quick walk, but they seem very nice and well taken care of. The backyard was a joy. Nice to sit out and enjoy the fresh air. Thank you for Joanne for letting us stay.

Wonder Place

Cozy home away from home

This was a very nice property to stay for our 9-day trip. The beds are very comfortable, there is a full kitchen, and the living room furniture is comfortable as well. Well. There is a TV in each of the bedrooms and in the living room as well. Private access and very quiet neighborhood. Is property is extremely close to all of the mail clinic, hospitals and medical facilities. A gracious host, you won't go wrong staying at this property. Thank you for everything.

Clean, comfortable and all amenities! Great location!

This two bedroom was cozy, but roomy enough and very comfortable. It's in an older home and has beautiful architecture. The space was CLEAN and very well appointed—everything you could want. I was there for two weeks for a trip to MAYO and could not have asked for better. It was a 4 minute drive to Mayo Main, 2 minutes to St. Marys and very close to restaurants, breweries, grocery store, etc. This place rocks! I will be staying here again for my surgery. Joanne was terrific and a great communicator. FIVE STAR!!!

Great Host

The location was great, the area was quiet, and the home was quaint. The host was wonderful and was available if we needed anything. I do think some spring cleaning is needed. It was very dusty and have several cobwebs.

I have been in the property rental journey on and off for over 30 years. The past 6 years brought me back into it on a more full time basis. My husband and I are also Foster Care providers for 4 adults so when I am not at the property tending to guests, or the gardens I am at home with my extended Foster Care family. However, I am always available to take care of the needs of my guests. For fun I like to make things, and fix things. :-) And, every single year, my husband and I ride to Sturgis and stay in the black hills. I have met some extraordinary people from all over the world who have rented my properties. Some whom are repeat guests that I can call friends. My goal is that my guests are happy staying at my properties.

This particular property is a homestead of my family. It has 3 apartments within the building. It is located in the perfect location for all your shopping, entertainment, Mayo clinic needs. Depending on which Mayo building you need to attend, your walk could be anywhere from 10-20 min walk. Or if you want to use Bus transportation, you only need to step out the door. Parking is free if you have a car but spaces are based on length of stay. I am somewhat flexible on check in and check out but you need to let me know in advance if you have special arrangements that don't meet my normal times. I know that patients that come here sometimes have flexible appointments and all you need to do is contact me with your scheduling and I will do everything possible to accommodate you!
