Huge villa with private pool and garden located in the beautiful Castelldefels beach area. Perfect place for families with children or groups of adult friends who want to spend some relaxing time together under the Mediterranean sun.THE SPACE:Casa Aila is located in Castelldefels, near the airport of Barcelona and only 25 minutes from Barcelona center. The best to enjoy beach and city-life. The house has its private pool, plenty of outdoor space and parking inside the property. BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS:The house has a capacity for up to 9 people distributed in 5 bedrooms:

Bedroom 1: 1 Double bed

Bedroom 2: 2 Single beds (convertible into double bed)

Bedroom 3: 2 Single beds (convertible into double bed)

Bedroom 4: 1 Double bed (with private bathroom)

Bedroom 5: 1 Double bed (with private bathroom)

*Please let me know before your arrival if you need a special bed distribution, as sometimes the beds are already converted into double bed*

1 Sofa bed (double) in the living room downstairs

All the bedrooms (except the bedroom on the main floor) have AC, heating and storage space.

3.5 Bathrooms ( 2 with WC, bidet and bathub in 2 rooms + 1 with WC and shower + 1 toilet only WC)FACILITIES:Fully equipped kitchen, washer, dryer and dishwasher

Linens and bath towels will be provided. Please bring your own beach towels and toiletries.THE NEIGHBORHOOD:Castelldefels beach is located approximately 18 km south of the city of Barcelona. It offers the possibility of practicing different sports, swimming in the calm waters of the Mediterranean Sea, or just sunbathing peacefully. It looks like an endless beach which never seems to fill up completely, even in peak season. It’s still well-loved though—by kite-surfers in April and May, by locals after work, by families on weekends, and by Barcelona visitors who’ve caught wind of its reputation. Located near the seafront promenade, you will find bars and restaurants within a short walk from the apartment.

Our stay at the beach house

The property was in the perfect spot to access the beach, restaurants, and groceries. There were plenty of rooms for everyone. There was one bedroom without air conditioning, so that room got hot with the door shut, and we could not find a fan. Since there was capacity for much more than our group, we were surprised that there were few forks and plates. We would have appreciated having a little more silverware and plates, etc. It also would have been nice to have a little extra soaps, shampoo, and paper towels. The property was clean and we felt safe. However, the house is overall run down (many cracked floor tiles downstairs and needing new paint). We had a great time on the beach and the food in the area is excellent! We loved having a place to park our vehicle on the property. We also drove into Barcelona several times. It was nice to stay outside of the city, and we were still close enough to the airport and major attractions. We had a lot of fun staying at the beach house!

Worst stay experience

This property could have been lovely but needs a lot of TLC. The main gate door did not work on the electronic entrance, had to use the large parking door, chipped tiles and concrete outside, outside stairs were not lit up at night, the pool was not topped up with water, outside chair cushions were dirty. The inside was not as clean as it should have been. Inside had loose tiles on the floor, peeling paint, cabinets were odd in the kitchen, dishes in a lower cabinet, dishwasher did not work. All that could have been overlooked is it wasnt for the neighbours, they were terrible. we would come home from dinner after 9pm, and although the neighbours were outside talking loudly, when we chatted on our way into the house (went straight into the house) we immediately got a threatening phone call and text from the Madrid office. This happened every night, one night there was someone on the road yelling, WE got blamed for that too. It was aweful, Like being in PRISON. We did not go outside at all for fear of getting called in for normal talking. Had food delivered one night at 11pm and got a phone call for talking to the delivery person. The neighbours made this a terrible stay. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS VRBO. The neighbours are aweful and obviously do not want a VRBO in the neighbourhood.

Plus points: house was clean and withing walking distance of the beach - it is however not a beach house. Pool was nice and well maintained but being so close to the main road, debris landed in the pool quite often. Cons: room configuration was not as described not as requested and we were one single bed short. The house was very noisy so the balconies etc were unusable. Insufficient cutlery and crockery - what was there was pretty worn out/chipped (only the pans were new by the look of things). Not a user friendly property, particularly the cracked tiles and hard to open/close shutters. The bathrooms and a couple of bedrooms looked recently refurbished but the common areas really need to be redecorated; one room sold as a double was very, very small and had no air conditioning making it pretty hard to consider a true double.
