A Philadelphia Main Line Manor house, Meadowbrook is a unique luxury home 20 minutes from the PGA tournament. The home can accommodate out of town family and friends for a nearby wedding at Appleford Estate, graduations from nearby universities, holidays, and other special events. Perfect home for World Cup Fans! This home is perfect for an executive corporate retreat. Gatherings of up to 20 people will be considered, but must be approved by the homeowner. We offer rental discounts for long term stays of more than one week. Please do not inquire about additional discounts. *Min 3 night stay - NO EXCEPTIONS.

Meadowbrook has 6 bedrooms and can sleep up to 14. The home has 5 second floor bedrooms, each with its own en suite bath, including two bathrooms in the Master Suite. The third floor has one bedroom with a queen size sofa bed in the sitting room/office that shares a bath. The first floor is ideal for small family gatherings, rehearsal dinner parties, and corporate meetings while on retreat. The basement includes a kitchen area (complete with dishwasher, refrigerator drawers, ice maker, and microwave), big screen television, pool table, fireplace, lounge seating, full gym, and, powder room. The private pool area includes 6 chaise lounges and table/chairs for 8. The back patio includes a large dining area with umbrella with lounge furniture. The Sonos system is throughout the house and outdoors. NO PETS ALLOWED.

An elegant house that provides the ideal holiday environment

It met all of our expectations, but with ONE caveat: The sofa bed was NOT adequate for TWO people.

Stately stay!

Our stay at Meadowbrook Estates was nothing short of magical. Four families rented this vast property for 3 days while celebrating Villanova graduation. This beautifully decorated home served as our hub for the weekend, allowing us to come and go easily since it's about 2 miles from the school. We hosted a gathering of parents and friends, making use of the great lawn and heated pool. Everything is there for you...just bring food, drink and the fun. The property manager couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. Our group will be forever grateful to have found this gem and make lasting memories there.

We decided to make this our “home base” for our wedding this past weekend. I could not have asked for a better experience. The house is absolutely gorgeous, clean, and the perfect place to bring together friends and family. It is Impeccably decorated but still feels warm and inviting. We had a blast hanging out in the kitchen area, lounging by the pool, and making memories together. Our guests also loved that every bedroom had a full bathroom available for them to use.I also want to give a shout out to the property management: the sound system wasn’t working but the owner offered to come over to fix it on a Friday night and fixed it quickly.I highly recommend this vrbo! Worth every penny!

Great stay for family trip

The property was so lovely and so enormous. We were 9 people and we did not use all of the space. Christine was very communicative, responsive, and helpful. There is a useful binder filled with all kinds of information about the house. The location is excellent (beautiful area close to many stores and parks, not far from philly) and the pool was lovely. The kitchen/living room area is especially great for large groups. The only drawback is that we found the mattresses a bit uncomfortable and only the primary bedroom has a king bed.

The BEST house we’ve ever stayed in!!

We booked this gorgeous home to use as home base during our wedding weekend and it EXCEEDED expectations. First of all, it’s just beautiful - above and beyond what I expected from the photos. Second, the bedrooms are each so unbelievably cozy and wonderful that it just felt like home. But the living spaces - WOW they’re just set up perfectly for hanging out and relaxing. Christine was so kind to help set us up with caterers, so we hosted our rehearsal dinner at the house and even had brunch the morning of our wedding - truly it was the easiest wedding logistics I’ve ever been a part of because everything was in one spot! We had 12 people staying here and every single person had an amazing time. HIGHLY recommend for any friend/family gathering!

Dreamhouse!!

What a wonderful weekend, truly made that way through the use of the splendid Meadowbrook Estate! The potential for a difficult time existed because of so much rain. However, the expanse and spectacularly decorated house made everything so comfortable to entertain guests and celebrate my daughter's graduation. Christine truly went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and make us feel welcome and at home. She allowed my brother to arrive a bit early to drop off luggage and was so responsive to my request for additional bed linens. Her attentiveness certainly did not go unnoticed. I highly recommend this property to families for out of town gatherings and graduation celebrations for the various colleges and of course weddings. With every bedroom having its own bathroom, everyone felt like they had a luxurious retreat to go to for privacy. However, the house is so large the common areas certainly accommodated everyone with room to spare! This home is truly a gem on the Main Line!

The whole truth

You get what you expect based off the photos and the price. The not so good: There were some issues that came up and actually present at the home upon arrival. Basement had water seeping in carpet which gave a bad smell rendering the space unusable. AC went out in several units which required our parties to group and sleep in the 3 rooms that only had working AC. We endured 2 nights like this. I feel like some effort of concession should have been made to show us that our inconvenience mattered. To top it off on night 6/7 we saw a mouse run through the kitchen and take cover under the sofa. After that most people in my group were terrified to stay another night and we end up leaving a day early. I did let Christine know about this, and I’m sure it happens in such a large and older house. Again no mention of any concession for our troubles and cutting our vacation a day short because of this. What bothered me is Christine once said if the alarm accidentally gets triggered and we (the owners) have to answer the call that we would be charged for it. We are dropping a cool 25k to stay at the home, you shouldn’t speak like this. The good: we had a great time as a family. The house is curated wonderfully. Probably the owner is an architect or interior designer who is well travelled. Location is very nice and safe, you can tell old money lives there lol. House very clean. Pool and grounds are very nice and well kept. 2 hr from Hershey and NYC. Owners seem like good people.

Thank you for the 5 star review, which is consistent with every review received since being a Premier VRBO host for the past 7 years. We responded to every issue you had immediately, including sending an HVAC technician on a Sunday morning to find that one of the thermostats had been turned off. I am sorry you misunderstood the issue regarding the alarm, it certainly was not meant to offend anyone. We had explained that the security system was not for tenant use, but we allowed you to use it nonetheless. Also to note, that a one week rental is not $25K, we extended you a discount for your one week rental. At no time was any part of the house unusable. We hope you and your family had a wonderful trip home, we took care of all the items you left behind.

Perfection!

We had such a wonderful time a The Meadowbrook Mansion. It was everything we were hoping it to be. Christine was so helpful from the very start, answering questions and helping us with our reservation adjustments. The home was spotless and had everything we needed. The kitchen was especially gorgeous and so well stocked. We enjoyed creating delicious meals together, relaxing by the pool, playing games and using the pool table in the downstairs area. We loved having coffee on the back patio, listening to soft music on the Sonos system, and seeing the deer walk though the beautiful yard. The rooms were all so cozy with robes, and nice soaps (not the tiny bars you find in most places). The sheets are what you dream about. We all slept like babies!! The decor in this place is stunning and very inspiring. The house is so roomy and perfect for large groups. We were a party of 8 and we never felt like we needed more space, none of us wanted to leave.

Would adjust departure date

The house provides very well for a group and is comfortable. There could have been a path to the pool but family assisted. The gardeners could have worked when we left instead of all Wednesday morning but the grounds are lovely

Thank you for your comments. We value our all of our green space and surroundings, and believe that is what makes our property unique! I am sorry you found the landscapers to be bothersome, unfortunately we have them on a regular routine, sometimes weather can dictate when they come. They are very necessary to the upkeep of our property. If you had an event or gathering that day, we would have welcomed your request to have them come on another day. We normally keep them from coming Fridays - Sundays for that reason.

Beautiful home!

The house was lovely, spacious, beautifully furnished as well as immaculate. The grounds are beautiful as well and offer lots of comfortable outdoor seating areas. Our extended family of 9 people had more than enough room and enjoyed cooking in the wonderful kitchen, eating outside on the patio, as well as swimming in the pool.

Great family get together

My family 8 adults and 3 babies had a amazing family get together. House is very large and beautifully decorated. Pool was a delight and grounds are large and amazing. The house was super stocked with toiletries, lots of cooking pots and pans, kitchen staples, cleaning supplies etc making it very easy to walk in and settle down.

Beautiful house with everything you need. Tasteful decor in a great location near multiple colleges. Great for a gathering of family. Pool, grill, beautiful backyard and plenty of space. Also terrific wifi if you need to zoom as several of us did. You will be thrilled.
