Welcome to Unit 10 at Cabana Beach Club, a beautifully renovated, exceptionally private bayfront condo located on iconic Longboat Key. This peaceful retreat sits directly on the bay, where you can watch manatees right from your doorstep, while the Gulf of Mexico’s stunning beaches are just across the street.

Cabana Beach Club is a boutique community of only 11 units, and this condo is part of the exclusive canal-side section with just three units, offering a truly quiet and private waterfront setting.

This one-bedroom, one-bathroom condo comfortably accommodates up to four guests, featuring a pullout sofa in the living room, a dining area, and a fully stocked kitchen. Step out onto the private patio with a cozy seating area, perfect for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine while enjoying tranquil bay views.

Modern comforts include smart TVs in every room, free Wi-Fi, and a washer and dryer inside the unit. Convenient parking is located right by the condo, and boat trailers can be accommodated—just confirm with the owner in advance.

Guests also enjoy access to a heated pool located on the beach side of the Club, as well as a nearby convenience store within walking distance.

Fresh, stylish, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you may need (and maybe a few things you don’t :)), Unit 10 is the perfect place to relax, recharge, and experience the best of bayfront and beachside living.

The host was welcoming and all the instructions were helpful! Just read the directions before arriving so you know which door to enter. The picture shown is an exact representation of the view on the canal. It's great!

Bungalow Retreat

Absolutely love the place! Parking was iffy for boat trailer parking, not sure about the lighting in bathroom, came magically, lol. I did try to run the dishwasher but couldn’t get it started. Recommend a pathway to boat dock.

Not safe!

The blinds in the bedroom were broken, leaving us with no privacy while we slept. Despite a previous complaint in May about the same issue, Michaela claimed she was unaware of the problem. Michaela also said it’s not a concern that someone can see into the bedroom because it’s a very private location. This is one of three units that are connected to each other so it is not private. Additionally, the AC broke on our second day and we were moved to a cheaper (the unit we were moved to is $100 less than what we paid for and I have screenshots to prove it) non-waterfront unit without any compensation. When I asked for a partial refund, Michaela flat-out refused, even stating that she didn't care if I gave her a negative review. My biggest concern was the lack of security in the units, as the codes provided by Michaela were not safe (Michaela said “I like to keep the codes simple”) and there were no additional locking mechanisms once inside. Overall, I would caution potential guests about these issues before booking with this host because it would be VERY easy for anyone to gain access to any of her units. Based on previous reviews I expect Michaela to write a response trying to explain that she did nothing wrong, but if you look at the review in May where she clearly states that she’ll fix the blinds you will see she is a liar.

Longboat Key 5 days

Window blind all damaged need replacement, shower stall has mold and water leak along sliding door. Outside furniture all dated and needs replacing. When you walk up to building you can tell it needs a refresher on the outside. Location is great, pool was OK, parking easy. Spend more on a cleaner and fresher interior and not so much spend on nix nacks.

Loved the manatees!

We saw manatees every day. It was lovely and mostly quiet, i.e. leaf blowers and lawn mowers.

Longboat Key

We enjoyed our stay very much. So wonderful having the canal for sunrise and the beach for sunset. The apartment is wonderfully breeze and cheerful. And the location is so great. We look forward to a return trip.

This is our third year staying at Cabana Beach Resort and we’ve always enjoyed our stays. The units are very clean, nicely decorated and furnished, in a good location with private access to a beautiful beach and convenient to excellent restaurants. We look forward to returning.

Beautiful spot

The condo was just as it was pictured and described. The furnishings were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. We loved being on the canal as it was quiet and relaxing. The outside sitting area was very comfortable and enjoyable. Beach access and pool were very convenient. I would highly recommend this spot.

Great location

This cabana is exactly as described. The location on the canal is great. So nice to sit outside on the patio and enjoy the view. Would definitely come back.

Great Property

Beautiful end unit condo both indoors & outdoors. The water view is simply amazing for your morning coffee and evening cocktail! It would be nice if there was lighting along the pathway to the condo’s entrance, as it was pretty dark at night. Would definitely book this unit again in the future!

We went back for a second stay in this unit; second trip to LBK. Look below for my May 2022 review. We had another great stay and will hopefully be back again. Great unit for 2 people. Great location. Well stocked for the beach. Beach and water were beautiful.

Very nice!

We really enjoyed staying here. The unit itself is nice as well as the location. We did see dolphins and a manatee in the canal! The pool is across the street and the beach a short walk through the resort. Unfortunately, the red tide was abundant for a few days during our stay and there were quite a few dead fish on the beach. Some were cleaned up but not all and the smell was somewhat unbearable so we spent more time at the pool. The kitchen had most everything we needed for cooking except any spices. We had to buy our own salt and pepper which was a surprise since other VRBOs we have rented supplied those. Beach towels and umbrellas were available for our use but it would have been nice to have a cooler. We had to buy our own which again was a surprise since other rentals have had those. Minor inconveniences that were dealt with. Loved our stay here!

A little slice of heaven

Perfect location, accommodations if you don’t mind older/smaller bathroom/plumbing/kitchen set-up. We traveled to the area for a wedding (2 specific wedding events). The size and set up of the bathroom made getting ready challenging but was acceptable for our more casual beach/relaxed days. The properties are split up between gulf and canal side. We were initially confused as to which side we were on but Michaela was very responsive to any calls/inquiries we made to her about housekeeping/plumbing issues we encountered. We were fortunate to have wonderful neighbors who were renting the two other canal front bungalows—who shared ice trays (yes, no ice maker or trays) and we reciprocated with wine glasses (they had none). The property could use a little maintenance/TLC but otherwise it suited our needs.

Very relaxing

We enjoyed the stay at the cabana #10 very clean and quiet...with the bay behind us as soon you opened the door. Very clean and very specious for 2 people. We arrived after dark so it was kind of confusing with the address. Not enough lighting to see where you going. 5850 is very hard to see from the street I would suggest more lighting at the entrance...since it was Christmas time maybe some Christmas light decorations? At arrival I called Ann very nice and polite she stayed on the phone with me until I found the unit. Didn't know that across the street 5851 there are 3 more units. Overall I will rent again since I know my way around now lol

Poor check in description

The listing details the address for mapping as 5850 when the actual address is 5851 located across the street. We arrived after dark, following the mapping and had a difficult time finding the unit because no where does it say to go across the street. The listing shows the sign and building at 5850. After Multiple unanswered calls to the owner, we were finally able to contact her and locate the unit. That particular unit has an old non -working key pad at eye level on the building. Get rid of it and be more descriptive as to where the right key pad is located . In the pitch dark, tired and hungry, it was quite frustrating to have such poor directions. A motion sensor light at the back door would have been a big help.Otherwise, the unit was clean and comfy. The bathroom exhaust fan did not work. The light up mirror did not work. The fancy shower had no shelf or place to put a bar of soap, or place to hang a wet wash cloth. The outlets along the kitchen counter were not working. We had to reset the ground fault. The view was fantastic, the manatees made an appearance or two. The beach equipment was perfect.

May 2022 first stay

We stayed in unit 10 for @ a week in early May. It was our first trip to LBK. We had such a great and relaxing time that we added 2 nights. The unit was great for 2 people. Private with nice outdoor spaces on both sides. Very short walk across the road to the beautiful beach. Unit description is accurate. Not the St. Regis 😀 which is what made it perfect for us. It's a 1 story, ground level, condo on a canal on an island in SW FL, so, yes, there are some things that just come with the territory. We were lucky that the construction next door is done, although grounds were still being worked on. Host M. was responsive to any questions. We hope to go back in May 2023.
