We would never put a guest in harms way, and if we believed conditions were unsafe, we would have acted accordingly. The storm did not impact our area. The property remained open and operating normally. We respect that each guest must make the decision they feel is right for them, but a same-day cancellation does not qualify for a refund under our policy. We always recommend that the guests consider purchasing travel insurance to protect themselves against unexpected circumstances that may affect their plans. In this situation, because the property remained open and there was no disruption to the property, travel insurance would not have changed the circumstances surrounding the cancellation or resulted in a refund.
