Watch nature at its best or take advantage of the proximity to the swing bridge to watch the spectacular fireworks display over the 4th of July. Being offset, this unit maintains 180 degrees unobstructed views of the sound while maintaining the privacy you would expect from a single family home.

Clean modern decor with a beach flair, provides both comfort and fun. 5 bedrooms(K, Q, Q, 2T, 2Q) provide comfortable sleeping accommodations for up to 12 Adults. All bedrooms enjoy adjoining deck accessed via sliding glass doors. The living room boasts a sectional and two recliners that surround modern amenities including a new 55 inch 4K smart television with modern acoustic sound bar for those times spent indoors streaming movies or listening to music. High speed wireless internet is available throughout the unit. Full sized May Tag washer and dryer are available for your use in the event that something needs to be washed. The kitchen has updated stainless steel appliances including refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, and a glass-top stove. Granite counter tops with bar surround the ample kitchen space.

Sound-N-Sea is all about proximity. Being centrally located in Surf City provides easy access to the beach, shopping, restaurants and activities all within easy walking distance. The ocean is just steps away via multiple beach access areas (including a gradual step-less access just north of Wilmington Avenue). Need a break from the sun and the sand? Family Beach Week

It was really nice to have 5 bedrooms with private balconies . The kitchen was small however stocked well with pots, pans, glassware etc… the house is located close to the beach however, the main roadway was super busy and we usually loaded all the beach stuff up in a truck and dropped it off at the public beach access parking area (14) where the family could carry it to the beach. Bonus ….. there is a free public parking lot across the street from a Catholic Church ( one block from the beach)… we parked there everyday while at the beach. We spent a lot of time at the beach, the water was very blue. During high tide the width of the beach shrunk, we learned to set up our beach tent right beside the sand dunes. The family loved the house, we had a minor issue with the fridge on day 1. The owner went and bought coolers /ice for our food and drink. The fridge simply needed to be unplugged and it re set and worked fine .. We would definitely stay here again.

Beach trip

Overall the house was clean. The views from the porches were amazing. I wish they had offered beach chairs as many of the houses we have stayed in before do. Beautiful house. Kitchen had everything we needed. I would definitely rent again. Great place!

Anchor Drive Stay

The property itself is very spacious: It definitely slept all of us comfortably with our own rooms. It’s 3 levels with a lot of stairs. I wouldn’t recommend it if you have any mobility issues. The views of the sound are amazing and each room has their own balcony for views. The AC worked well and kept the place cool at all times. The walk to the beach wasn’t bad at all if you didn’t have to carry much. A bit too far to carry a cooler or anything heavy: It took us about 8 minutes to get to the first beach access. (2 streets over) The first road you have to cross is a bit busy and hard to cross at times. Traffic can be heavy especially in the evenings. We noticed that there wasn’t a lot of room on the beach at the Wilmington access. Further down towards the pier you seem to have more room to spread out. We liked that the house was in close proximity shops and a few eateries. My teenage girls walked down to Island Delights quite a bit for ice cream. A few negatives: We were made aware with a note that The freezer was broken when we arrived. It was frozen over. The ice maker and filtered water weren’t usable. A bit of a bummer for my husband and I because we constantly have our Yetis full of ice water. The repair man didn’t come until Wednesday of our stay. And didn’t fix the problem. Also during our stay the 2nd floor shower started to leak into one of the 1st floor bedrooms. Also, unable to be repaired during the stay so we weren’t able to utilize one of the showers. Communication was easy with the owners and they were very responsive and apologetic. They returned 250.00 to my account as a compensation for the inconvenience. The bedrooms do not have any dressers. The closets do not have anywhere to hang clothes. So, if you are like me and like to unpack your suitcase, this may be an issue for you. The closets are full of maintenance items such as paint, nails, ladders, etc. The laundry room is attached to the main downstairs bathroom. It’s nearly impossible to get the clothes into and out of the dryer due to the placement of the doors. Overall, this property worked fairly well for our large family for the week.
