The property is located 5 miles from the New River Gorge Bridge and is close to all the outdoor adventures that Fayetteville, WV has to offer which includes white water rafting, kayaking, standup paddle boarding, rock climbing, hiking, biking, zip-lining, paint ball, snow-skiing, four-wheeling, etc...

The house needs work. Wifi only works in the living room, wifi extenders in other rooms dont work. Entrance road very rough. Lots of stink bugs in the bedrooms.

Christmas House

While the house was well appointed with the exception of no large (9x13") baking pan, this house needs a LOT of repair. Wallpaper is in almost every room and it is peeling in large chunks in most rooms; mold/mildew in the 1st floor shower along with mildew on the peeling ceiling; broken tiles in the showers; doorknob in the largest bathroom just spins so one must use the door to the hallway; picket fence surrounding most of the yard has fallen and/or is covered in algae; there is a STRONG smell of mold in the unfinished basement one must use to access the game room; internet/wifi is spotty at best but more like nonexistent; one sofa in the livingroom needs cushions replaced as one sits on the springs. The only way to contact the owner was through the site; he messaged that he would meet us at the house to let us in and while I was there at 4:02 for a 4:00 check-in, he never showed. He did say if he wasn't there that the back door was unlocked with a key accessible on the wall. All - and there are a LOT - doors were locked. Failed to be able to access the website to contact the owner for entrance due to no reception. After almost 10 minutes of trying to open the website, a neighbor came over asking if we needed help. Said the owner is her landlord and she may know the side door code, which she did. If it hadn't been for her, we would have had to drive back down the mountain to gain internet access to contact the owner.

Great House, great property

The house is stunning inside, thankfully hasn’t undergone any crazy remodeling to remove its character. The pool was gated and locked of during our visit, but none of us had planned on using it so that wasn’t a huge setback for us. If you have verizon, you’ll have terrible signal at this property. Pastors' wives retreat

If you love old farmhouses in the country, this is for you! We loved that there were so many bedrooms and bathrooms, a big enough kitchen and living room for all, and a big screened in porch was also great for our meetings. The heated pool and hot tub were a great bonus for the ladies! Host was flexible with check-in and check-out times. We loved our stay there, our second year in a row!

Family Reunion

This was the 2nd time we stayed for our family reunion. There is plenty of space to spread out. We love the beautiful views that surround the property. Everything was in working order. Internet and cell service are poor though but on the bright side, that makes for a relaxing, unplugged vibe. Downtown Fayetteville and all the outdoor activities nearby are a big plus.

Perfect spot for our large family

This may have been our best yet. The house had plenty of room and the kitchen was very well equipped. The pool and hot tub were great. The grounds were beautiful and private. The owner was very responsive when a couple of minor issues arose. Close enough to local attractions, but felt secluded. We all LOVED this property!

Nice House, Nice Loacation

To get a 5-star rating everything has to be near perfect. This house is very nice, but not perfect. The rooms are comfortable, large & well-appointed with plenty of dressers, couches, tables, chairs, bedding, towels (bath and pool), kitchen utensils, pots, pans, casserole dishes, drip and pod coffee makers, & spices. Hand, dish soap & dishwasher soap were provided. The beds are comfortable. The appliances are newer & worked well. 2 stoves & 2 refrigerators made meal prep a snap. The dining room table sat 10 comfortably w/ a side table we used as a buffet. The living room is held our group of 10 comfortably. The central A/C & several window units kept the house cool. There is a nice patio & large yard. We played basketball with a provided ball and some yard games (which we brought). We did not use the hot tub, but it looked like it was well maintained and was in good shape. The heated pool gave a chance to cool down in the afternoons. There is a huge drop off from the bottom step of the pool which caught us off guard, so just be careful of that. Several pool balls & floats were provided. A few drawbacks that kept this from a 5-star rating. Many of the porch screens need to repair, the drawers in the kitchen gave us some trouble as they did not always slide very well. The gas grill needed a good cleaning before we could use it. Even with the few things that need to be addressed, I would rent this property again. It's a great space, especially for larger groups

Wedding Weekend

The property was perfect for a large group who were there to celebrate my daughter's wedding. The home had all needed amenities and so much room! It felt very homey and well loved. Everything was in good working order and all processes were uncomplicated. The owner was kind, professional and on site when we arrived. We loved the neighbors dog and had a great time. We will definitely return.

Had good and bad experience.

Not the same as it looked online., especially bathrooms n kitchen. Wi-Fi was terrible and worst in our last 10 years of cabin stay. Had power cut and without signal/Wi-Fi we were scared to hell. Very old property for the price and that too during the off season. Good things - Dining area was nice and living room. Outside spacious on all four sides.

Comfortable

We were very comfortable and had lots of privacy. The eating area and livingroom gave us plenty of room to get together. The 2 ovens and 2 refrigerators were convenient for making meals and storing beverages. This is our second time staying here.

Family Birthday Party

We needed a house for 18 family members from New York, Pennsylvania, Michigan and the Carolinas. This location was perfect. The house and grounds are spacious and clean. Beds were very comfortable, kitchen had all we needed for our cooks. It is a lovely old house which needs and gets loving care.

10-4 Good Buddy Weekend

Our crew loved staying @ The Woodcrest Inn for our annual 10-4 Good Buddy weekend. The house and accommodations were spot on and we really enjoyed the pool & hot tub, pool table, porch and just getting lost in the house maze—so much space!!

Retreat weekend

Loved the property! The pool was perfect temperature and loved the hot tub also. Nice sized stocked kitchen. Sat 14 in the dining room easily and also in the screened porch and living room. Bedrooms were beautiful and clean. Host was very generous and let us check in early and check out an hour later. Minutes away from New River Gorge Bridge. Great place for group bonding! Had a lovely weekend!

Awesome house!

My family of ten stayed at this home for our yearly vacation. The house is amazing. It took me a long time to find the upstairs! The rooms are huge, the beds we used were great, and the kitchen was well stocked. We would've loved to have known the history of the house and what era the additions were added. There is a knob on one of the gas stoves that leaked gas in the house when the knob was in the "off" position. I saw that a couple knobs were on "lite". I thought maybe my granddaughter had messed with them, so i put them both in the "off" position. After all of us being outside for awhile, we had to open the front and back doors to air out the house. We alerted Shane to the issue, and just didn't touch that knob again after we figured out where the gas was coming from.
