Outdoor amenities Include private fishing cove (when the water level is high), large yard, shade trees, and campfire pit. Please note water levels vary. When levels are low there is a beach behind the yard. At high levels, the water backs right up to the yard. A boat ramp is nearby!

Indoor amenities include full kitchen, washer/dryer, 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, air conditioning, Wi-fi, TV and Great room for large gatherings or family game night.

This is the perfect spot for families, couples, hunters, fishermen, bird watchers, and nature lovers. Located close to boat and jet ski rentals. All the comforts of home in a relaxing, get-away location!

NOTE: There is an issue with the damn so there are no guarantees on the water levels.

The house was filthy. Layers of dust. Hair, stains, etc on the sheets. Dead bugs in the cupboards. Bug filled cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling.Needs a deep clean, a couple coats of paint and some Home Defense.The firepit was great!

Needs cleaning but nice backyard.

The old description and pictures of this property needs updated. The water level was not guaranteed but obviously has not been at this property level for years. The house needed cleaned more than just vacuumed. The bathroom downstairs floor had a layer of dirt around the edges, the shower doors need cleaning or replaced and the ceiling fans were filthy. One of the upstairs bedroom nightstand had a layer of dust. The house itself needs repairs too one of the sliding doors barely opens or closes and lets bugs in a night and the front storm door does not close. The kitchen & bathroom supplies not stocked well at all. There was a large back yard with a fire ring which was nice. The kids enjoyed the hammock too.

Plenty of room

There was plenty of room for all our family and friends. We really liked that each room had their own AC unit. The backyard and fire pit were great. The house needs some work. We had difficulty opening and closing the back sliding glass door. The house needs a deep cleaning. There was hair in the bathtub and on the floors and dog fur on the couch.

Memorial service for my husbands mother which was held at the boat ramp site in Lemoyn

The location was perfect.there was enough room for all the kids to run and play.Some of the family are from Az and couldnā€™t get enough running and playing on the green grass.rooms spread out to give everyone privacy

McConaughy Vacation 2024

We had a great stay. No complaints. When we go back will will try and stay here again. The lake is still low, but during our week, there was almost no one at the Martin Bay beach but us.

Lewellen house

Most everything was great but we did need the air conditioner in the living room to work and we did have some trouble with the slider to the patio and it was not wheelchair accessible. The bedrooms were great with comfortable beds and good A/C. The kitchen was well stocked with much needed utensils and dishes. The patio and large back yard were very nice. Renee was very responsive and friendly and the ten of us enjoyed our long weekend!

Peaceful location

We enjoyed a family vacation in this relaxing location. I liked that there was a main floor bedroom for my elderly mom. All of the bedrooms are great and can be set at different temperatures because they have separate a/c units(big plus for a family that likes all different temps to sleep!). The property was nice and we saw wild turkeys, turtles, and lots of frogs. The lake view wasnā€™t right out the door but we could still see it. We enjoyed a nice fire in the fire pit with plenty of seating for everyone. The nearest beach was a 5-10min drive. I would definitely recommend and we will keep this place in mind if we all go back to McConaughy again.

Roomy, quiet

There was plenty of room, hot water and water pressure. Back yard was huge, nice fire pit. It was a little far from everything. The water isn't close anymore. It's dated, but comfortable. Some things I'd do is update towels, get a coffee pot with pause, electric can opener and new cookie sheets. Put a new recliner in and new grill. Regardless it was a nice stay. We had a great time with family and everyone had space. I'd do it again maybe longer to be able to enjoy the lakes more.

30th Anniversary

Nice quiet neighborhood, plenty of room for our family of 8 , A/C in all bedrooms was great, great outdoor space, kitchen could be better stocked larger pans, more storage serving bowls ect. Nice washer/dryer, with water so low a 20 minute drive to put boat in water, use google to get there other ones donā€™t get you there, overall great place would stay again

Good location just not quite as advertised.

We had a great stay July of 2023, the size of the property was perfect for our group of 3 couples and our son. The property while dated and in need of some maintenance had everything our group needed for a comfortable stay! The host was great to communicate with, and we loved the grill, fire pit and large lawn. Not sure when the listing photos were taken, but it made it seem like there would be visible water from the back yard, or even some beach area right behind the house. This was not the case- in fact there was no water visible (just foliage) and a well worn path that atvā€™s used to access the beach about a mile down the shore line. Again not bad to pack up and drive less than five minutes to a great little beach spot- just not quite the access that the photos and description made it appear as- even with higher reservoir levels it seems that it has been some years since the water level has been high enough to come up behind the property. Our group would definitely consider staying here again- just maybe a bit better prepared for hauling stuff to and from the beach next time.

Lake trip

Everyone had an amazing time, weather was great, lake was refreshing. It was nice to have a home to relax in when we were done at the lake. Lake was very low so the picture might need updating since it is so low. Renee had mentioned it was extremely low but I didnā€™t realize it was that low! I hadnā€™t been there in 15 years or so. The property back yard was great, the rooms were a plenty. Not sure if Renee knew that the dishwasher was leaking and we didnā€™t get to use it but all worked out. Would have loved to have met Renee on this trip but maybe some other time? Thank you for allowing us to use your place! ā¤ļø Jerri

Not as pictured

There is no small sandy beach at low water or lake right up to the yard at high water. The lake is at least mile away. The back yard is nice and there is a fire pit and grill. We did have to really scrub the grill before we could use it. The house was not clean, animal hair everywhere including in some of the beds, some of the bedding was dirty, etc.

Quiet Lakehouse

My family and I stayed here for a long weekend and had a blast. My younger kids had a great time exploring behind the house for toads while my older kids enjoyed the quiet surroundings. They all loved the firepit for smores on our last night. There was plenty of space for all seven of us. If we come back to Lake Mac again, we'll definitely look to stay again.

Family reunion

The house provided our basic needs. Considering location, it was comfortable. We were aware the water level was down but the distance from the house way too far considering we rented in expectations of at least being able to see the lake. That was disappointing but we still had a nice family visit.

Plenty of Family Room

We had 5 adults and 2 littles...plenty of room for everyone to kick back and relax. A couple of snags when we got there with the grill and the fridge but Renee was on top of things and corrected right away. If you are planning on doing a lot of grilling/cooking you may want to verify the utensil, storage, and mixing bowl situation to make sure it will accommodate what you are planning. The yard is huge and a great place to set up practice golf, yard tag, and games.
