Orlando Family Vacation for 11

The resort was beautiful. The apartment that we stayed in was very spacious and beautiful and more than adequately accommodated 11 people. The staff was excellent and promptly addressed any questions we had. The only issue was the Internet which they attempted to resolve with a new router but it still did not work. If you are traveling with kids, that may be a problem unless you have iPhones or tablets. We loved our vacation.

Perfect

Lovely resort to get together with family for two college graduations. Very clean unit with all the amenities including pool restaurants and convenience shopping. It was just perfect. The weather too!!

Condo is very nice, Resort is annoying

Upon arrival, we were forced to valet (complimentary) while we checked in. This was difficult because we arrived in multiple vehicles, and would have preferred to not be in a position to feel obligated to tip. Once checked in, I was immediately whisked to the "VIP" desk where I was told I was VIP and my reservation included free breakfast for my party. As the guy tried to schedule a breakfast appointment, I realized he was trying to set up a sales pitch for a time share. My whole party was waiting on me while I was dealing with that nonsense. Including my 89 year old grandmother who had been riding in the car for 2 hours. We were ready to just get in our rental. I wish I had known to expect this before I came so that I could've just immediately declined. Once I declined, the guy was no longer interested in helping me. I asked about a property map and he just waved me off to the registration desk. One of the bell staff noticed me and helped direct us to the building. He helped us with our luggage and ensured we were set up. Nice guy. The condo itself, I would give 5 stars. My son said it was the nicest hotel he's ever seen. He was a very impressed 8-year-old. I felt bad because I didn't know housekeeping would come while we were gone, so I didn't leave a tip. The vacation rentals we've used in the past in Orlando didn't send housekeeping until after the stay was complete. On the morning we were leaving, we received six calls beginning 90 minutes before check out time. Each time we answered, they would hang up. My guess was housekeeping trying to see if we were still there. That was SUPER irritating. Then when we went to get our vehicles to move closer to the building, a few of the close spots were taken up by staff golf carts. Not helpful. One other thing, the condo overlooks the pool, and the hot tub was a lively spot. It would stay loud late. Didn't bother me, but my parents weren't thrilled. All in all, I wish I had been prepared for the workings of that resort. Now I know. I would rent here again, just next time I will be more savvy to their ways.

Room was great but service was not. Parking is a mess.

I went on my 40th birthday weekend (which was over the top special). Me and twelve of my girl friends had the four bedroom suit that sleeps up to sixteen. On arrival to the resort-check in was normal. However once to the front desk to get parking passes the host stated to me that the policy is only one parking pass per room. Well that of course would not work for me since I had twelve women coming in eight different cars. It was very upsetting and then only thing they did to appease me was give me four extra parking passes. The rest of my girl friends were not able to park on the property. The manger was very blunt and rude and did nothing else to solve the problem. It was never stated anywhere prior to getting the reservation that only one parking pass was given or we would not have stayed there. The parking is horrible at this resort. However the room was nice.

Great place to stay near Universal Studios

Other than the internet/TV being down the first 24 hours our stay exceeded our expectations. It was near to restaurants, Universal Studios, the highway, and the accommodations were excellent. Would stay here again.

Nice property.

Very nice unit. The unit had a lot of space. The major two negatives were that we were charged for internet usage and only 1 device could be on it at a time. Second, the elevator was out for the first day and a half of our stay. The unit was on the 5th floor and we had to haul our luggage up the stairs to the unit plus my 83 year old mother in law had to use the stairs several times. That is a big inconvenience.
