On The Beach - Smith Point In Madaket

This is a two story Nantucket beach cottage. Down to earth beach living, right on the beach.

Smith Point/Madaket Beach right at your doorstep and a few hundred yards walking to Madaket Harbor's shallow, calm beach.

The first floor has an eat-in kitchen open to the sitting area and a large deck with a great spot to enjoy a sunset cocktail or a meal (teak hightop seats 8). There are two bedrooms downstairs sharing one full bath (tub) with a washer/dryer. One bedroom has two twin beds and the other has a bunk with a trundle - both have beautiful beach views from their windows.

A spiral staircase takes you up to an open full floor master suite with exposed beam ceilings and amazing views! There is an open living room with HD cable TV, a game table, a desk and full bath (shower). The sleeping alcove has a queen bed. The upstairs balcony is perfect for admiring Madaket's best-in-the-world sunsets or just enjoying a quiet read. There is also a pull out twin sofa for extra sleep space. And a desk if you have to work (but don't!)

Enjoy the enclosed outdoor shower on the first floor deck.

The house has a gas grill, a high-top teak table to accommodate 8, and comfy cushioned seating on the deck as well. There are boogie boards, surfboards, beach chairs, umbrella, coolers, and beach toys for your outdoor enjoyment. Inside, the house is stocked with great games, a wonderful library and a DVD collection perfect for a family vacation.

Our home is a great place to relax and enjoy living literally ON the beach. It is casual - sandy feet welcome!

Best Vacay Ever!!!

The house on the beach was perfect! The minute we walked in we felt right at home. The house was homey, comfy and the best part of all, it was literally right on the beach! The sand was soft and delightful…we didn’t wear shoes the whole time we were there. We loved listening to the waves as they lulled us to sleep. But better than anything else, our host was outstanding!! Gillian was over the top accommodating and was able to graciously help us out of a difficult situation! Thank you so much for our most favorite vacation yet! We would all go back tomorrow if we could!!

Beach Paradise

This was our 4th stay in 5 years. The location is perfect for anyone who wants to get completely absorbed into the beach vibe of the Madaket/Smith's Point area of Nantucket. The location is truly one of a kind. Our host, Gillian, was attentive as always and responsive to any of our questions. Looking forward to returning next year!

Beauty on the Beach

This is a magical place. We have 20 years of summering on island but our first time in Madaket. We had our 11 and 17 year old with us. The home was very clean and had everything we needed

Paradise on the beach….literally

What an experience to be on the beach in between the dunes! We loved being steps from the ocean, listening to the waves, and watching the seals play in the surf. The home was perfect for our family and well equipped with everything we needed and more. We enjoyed walks on the beach, exploring the island, and quiet time for puzzles and games. It was hard to leave after our week on Nantucket. Thank you for a memorable vacation!

Idyllic Location

This was our third year in a row at Uno Mas. If you like the beach and sunsets and don’t require granite countertops and big flat screen TVs this place is for you. A true on the beach experience offering the most magnificent sunsets you’ll ever see. Well equipped from pantry to beach chairs. Plus very gracious hosts!

Magical!

This was our second time staying at Uno Mas and it was, once again, fantastic. If you love the beach, sunsets and the sound of waves I cannot think of a better place. Gillian is a gracious and responsive host. Hoping to visit again next year.

Beach Heaven

If you desire a true beach vacation this is the place. The home is literally in the dunes just steps from the waves. Unless you head into town there is no reason to wear shoes. Keep a rod at the ready and hit the surf when you see baitfish being pushed to shore by marauding bluefish or just enjoy the frequent seals that pass by showing interest in the strange figures standing on the beach. The sunsets are magical and can be enjoyed from the comfort of the home's deck. We found the house well stocked with anything you might need from basic condiments to beach chairs and towels. We had a great time and appreciate the home. Gillian was very responsive to our inquiries and provided a detailed guide for the home. Highly recommend it!

The house is great, very well supplied with cleaning essentials. The location is off the charts magnificent. I am a long time visitor to Smith point and felt so "at home" in this house. The owners were very helpful re decision making around the covid issue and took good care of the house and in turn us. Thank you Tir Na Nog.

Unbeatable Location

It is truly a unique location. You are surrounded by water and have great privacy. We feel incredibly lucky to have stayed and enjoyed the sights and sounds of Smith Point. We hope to be back soon.

We can’t even begin to describe how spectacular this little piece of Nantucket is! We have never been before and it was literally like sleeping on the beach...well we were sleeping on the beach! Just breathtaking. Will definitely be back!

Perfect Location

The location of this home is truly next to none. There is almost no reason to leave, you have everything you need right there. You are on the beach once you step outside. This section of the beach is very quiet and private and the sunsets are gorgeous. We had a fabulous vacation and would definitely return.

happiest place on earth!

We have been staying on Nantucket for the last 20 years. We were fortunate enough to discover this home. When you are here, you truly feel like you are in your own home, not a rental. Everything is first rate! The house is not on the beach, it’s IN the beach!!! Perfect for a family - perfect for walking back up to the house to start dinner then you are back to your beach chair in 30 seconds! Very private area of the beach -basically you have your own beach. We will be coming for years to come.

The perfect beach house

This house is amazing for a laid-back beach vacation. The location is perfect. The ocean beach is beautiful. Very few people use this section of beach so it feels very quiet and private. There is also a bay beach a couple of minute walk away that we used for paddle boarding. The house was a perfect size for our family of five and very well stocked- plenty of cleaning supplies, games, movies, beach chairs, towels and kitchen supplies. The upstairs of the house is particularly nice with high ceilings and a very comfortable sitting area. The sunsets at this house are the best and the stargazing is also amazing. We had an outstanding vacation thanks to this wonderful house!

Gem of Madaket

We have been coming to Nantucket for over 20 years. This is by far our favorite rental. The house is beautiful and clean and sits right on the beach. You can cook dinner on the grill and still feel that you haven't left the beach! In fact we actually only left the house once all week and that was only because of the weather. It's a gem!

Amazing - Right in the Beach!

Unbelievable location, right on gorgeous beach with the sound of crashing waves. Beautiful decks to see the incredible sunrises every morning and sunsets every night. The house had everything you need for the perfect family vacation. We spent every day on the beach and it was only a short walk to Millie's for dinner or ice cream. We loved it so much we already booked the same house for next summer!
