La Tortuga is a delightful Menorcan villa. There is an amazing large outdoor private pool with outside shower, sunbeds, bbq. It has 4 Bedrooms, (including 2 double bedrooms with large en suite bathrooms) and a separate shower room. Wi FI and smart tv, air-conditioned throughout.The villa does have private off road parking.

Located 5 minutes walking distance from the sea and village centre of S'Algar which is a coastal town located in the south east region of the Balearic island of Menorca. S'Algar boasts some fantastic restaurants and S'Algar Diving is probably the best scuba diving club on the island for snorkelling and scuba diving.

Absolutely fabulous villa with gorgeous pool. Everything was spotless and the accommodation was perfect for our family holiday.Communication was good and all instructions were easy to follow.We had an amazing time.

Home from Home

Lovely location with a great pool and surrounding gardens. The roof terrace is fabulous for sitting and watching the boats out at sea. If you are looking for somewhere peaceful then this is perfect. Thank you Carl and family for letting us stay in your lovely villa.

Lovely Property

Lovely sized villa in a quiet area. Couple of shops and bars within a few minutes walk. Villa could do with a little bit of TLC to make it perfect and some furniture on the roof terrace to take full advantage of beautiful sea views and location as well as some parasols to provide shade by the pool would make a lovely addition. Lovely sized pool which kids thoroughly enjoyed. Communication between ourselves and management company was very easy and they quickly responded to queries.

Sā€™algar Villa with private pool

Great property, 4 good size bedrooms, big shared space and a nice pool. Essentials provided incl. cooking items, high chair & cot for infant. Cot was missing on arrival but a quick call and it was delivered within 10 minutes, great service.

Perfect villa!

We had an incredible time exploring Menorca from the comfort of this villa. We were a group of five adults and one teen and we loved the space and the location. Sā€™Algar was small enough to feel relaxing, but had what we needed for necessities. The grocery store in San LluĆ­s was easy to get to for groceries and we took full advantage of the kitchen and grill. The pool was lovely and provided a refreshing option for the warm days, as did the ocean and nearby Cala Rafalet, both within walking distance. We had a rental car and were able to get all over the island to explore easily and affordably. We appreciated the washing machine and the AC units in each room. Highly recommend this villa to anyone visiting Menorca!

Lovely, quiet location & well-equipped villa

Had a lovely relaxing week here with family & friends. Fantastic pool & very thankful for the efficient air conditioning in all 4 bedrooms & the lounge because the weather was very hot! The villa decor and furnishings are a little dated, but it all added to the charm and it has everything you need (but donā€™t expect matching crockery!). The management company were very efficient and helpful when we contacted them about a problem with a window (doors & windows could do with some TLC!). Harbour for swimming, small supermarket and a couple of nice restaurants about 5 mins walk from villa. Car useful to explore the island and access waterpark/large supermarket, but there are buses too.

Very Disappointing!

We booked this villa based on the pictures, description, and the 2019 reviews. However, it seems that since 2019 (the lockdown) nothing has been done to the property to make it ready for visitors. The main issues we had were doors and windows not opening properly (presumably because of lockdown), our wardrobe door wouldn't slide back & forth easily. There were problems with drawers not opening/closing, and when I tried to adjust the showerhead, it came off in my hand. Although the property was superficially clean, but items in the kitchen drawers had to be cleaned by us before they could be used. The BBQ outside had no usable griddle when we arrived, and this was corrected quickly when we complained. However, we only used the BBQ a couple of times because it was basically falling to pieces and unsafe for use! All the beds (except one) were extremely hard, and our guests who had flown all the way from Canada didn't get a decent night's sleep! All in all we were extremely disappointed as we were looking forward to this holiday so much. When I reported these things to the manager, he thanked me for my constructive comments, and said they would try and sort these issues out. Not a lot of good for us! We all feel that a part refund is the least we should expect. I look forward to hearing comments.

Hemos estado muy agusto. Nos hizo varios dĆ­as de mal tiempo y estuvimos muy bien en la casa. Lo Ćŗnico malo fue la comunicaciĆ³n con la agencia. Les pedimos que revisarĆ”n el wifi porque no iba la contraseƱa que nos habĆ­an dado y al estar un par de dĆ­as encerrados nos hubiera ido bien y nos dijeron k lo miraban y aĆŗn estoy esperando respuesta... X lo demĆ”s todo muy bien

der Pool war dreckig und die Pumpe ging nicht. Der Garten war dreckig und ungepflegt.

Ich hatte ihnen bereits 2 Mails geschrieben und keine Reaktion erhalten. Der Pool war die HƤlfte der Zeit nicht nutzbar. Bitte machen Sie uns einen Vorschlag bezĆ¼glich einer RĆ¼ckerstattung. Das Haus ist renovierungsbedĆ¼rftig. Die Matratzen sind schlecht. GlƤser sind unreichend. Die Kommunikation zwischen der Agentur und uns war spƤrlich, aber hilfreich. Keine Kaffeemaschine vorhanden. Der Grill fƤllt auseinander. Einige Birnen gingen nicht. Ein Poollicht geht nicht. In einem Zimmer war durch das Auto in der Garage nach Benzin. Der Garten ist sehr ungepflegt (Unkraut, keine Reinigung). Gerne stehen wir fĆ¼r weitere AuskĆ¼nfte zur VerfĆ¼gung. GruƟ Stefan Gƶbel

Una semana excelente

Una estancia muy cĆ³moda. Una casa bien equipada, en una localizaciĆ³n tranquila y agradable. PrĆ³xima a playa y calas donde pasar jornadas disfrutando de un mediterrĆ”neo espectacular. La piscina es un complemento perfecto en los dĆ­as calurosos. Sā€™Algar es un lugar tranquilo,nada masificado, en el que se puede pasear al lado del mar y tomar una cerveza en una agradable terraza. Perfecta base para conocer los rincones mĆ”s interesantes de Menorca.

Peace and relaxation

A lovely villa in the most beautiful location. We hired a car to travel around the island but coming home to the villa was always a pleasure. Beautiful views of the sea from the roof and we could always find a bit of shade in the gardens. If a get away from it all is what you are after then you couldnā€™t want for more. Heerlijk huis met zwembad

Het huis was heerlijk! 1 kamer wat vochtig maar verder prima. Alles is aanwezig. Ook een fijn zwembad, heerlijke tuin met bbq en dakterras. We kwamen erg vroeg aan, maar ook daarin werd meegedacht door de eigenaar. Winkels en restaurantjes om de hoek. Rustige straat. Echt top! Ga zeker nog eens terug.

Fantastic home from home villa!

We stayed as a family consisting of myself and my husband, my parents and our two young children for a week at the start of September. We had an absolutely fabulous time in the villa. It was big and spacious and we all had plenty of room. It really is a home from home, was clean and had everything that we could have needed for our weeks stay. If you are expecting luxury and clean lines then this would not be for you. It was perfect for us though. The pool was huge and our kids loved it although it was very cold for me! We ate outside in the evenings when we could (weather was very changable all week) but we could easily fit inside too. Beds were comfortable and the showers pressure was good and enough hot water to cater for all of us. The roof terrace was lovely although we did not really have a chance to use it other than to pop up to look at the views. We actually did not spend alot of time at the villa as we were either at the beach or exploring the island which is one of our favourites. Area was very quiet which is how we like it. No noisy hotels nearby and you had to have a car which we did. Close to the airport so easy to get to. Carl was great to liaise with at all stages and really helpful, even organising it for us to be able to stay a little later on our last day before our flight. The only downside to the villa for us was the amount of ants! Of course we know that there will be ants but even though we cleaned thouroughly after every meal etc they were everywhere! We put our bread in the bread bin to dicover it absolutely covered the next day inside the packaging. We had to utilise alot of zip lock bags for all the food!! It was a bit annoying but something we coped with and it has not put me off still giving the villa 5 stars. All in all would we stay in Carls villa again? YES absolutely! Fabulous place and we would love to stay again the furture. Thank you Carl for everything :-)

Really homely had everything that you would need

Had a great holiday carl and the management company were really helpful and caring following problems we had in getting home courtesy of BA computer crash. The villa has everything you could want for a great stay, the resort is quite quiet very pretty with a few bars. would recommend a car to see the rest of the island .

Perfect family holiday!

We loved this villa, perfect location, lovely pool and garden. Felt like a home from home, it's really well equipped and for us as 2 families with 4 children age 6 and under it was ideal. We just wished we could have stayed longer than a week! We will definitely be booking to come back again soon!

Private & relaxing

Our mixed age group of eight had a wonderful time in this comfortable spacious villa. Lots of room inside and out where we could gather together or have some quiet space. Everything we needed was in this well equipped villa. Our party included two small children who settled well with plenty of toys and a beautiful pool to enjoy, they also enjoyed visiting the nearby hotel mini disco. S,Algar is A very relaxing place to stay with enough to keep everyone busy and also within walking distance of a picturesque, safe beach with a welcoming beach hotel/restaurant . Hopefully we will return and enjoy again sometime.

Beautiful Villa, Wonderful Holidays

We have stayed in Carl's villa a number of times, with friends and with family. S'algar is quiet, perfect for a family holiday and has enough shops and restaurants to mean you don't have to travel far if you don't want to. That means to you can relax around the villa, sit on the roof terrace, play games on the patio, or enjoy the fantastic pool - which is big enough to swim, play or just cool down in. There are 'proper' supermarkets a short drive or bus-ride away, if you want to stock up the fridge and cupboards. The villa has its own off-road parking, which is great (especially for unloading cases or shopping) if you have a hire car, and travel around the island is quite straightforward. Roads aren't too busy and well signposted. Buses to Mahon and beyond leave the village centre every hour and S'algar is on the island's Cami de Cavalls coastal pathway, if you fancy a day's walking or cycling - find some secluded beaches and old lookout towers. We have been to Menorca 4 times now and still find plenty to do. Recommend snorkelling in the bay, the village bakery for coffee and pastries, the pizza restaurant is good, kids loved the go-karting in San Luis, drive to the top of Monte Toro and see the whole island and take a boat trip out of Mahon. We hope to come back again soon.

Excellent accomodation

What a beautiful spot! Just what we needed for a relaxing break. Near enough to the sea to walk there in 5 mins but enough away to be incredibly peaceful. Plenty of lovely restaurants nearby all within walking distance. We live in NZ but hope to go back soon.
