Escape from the busy hustle and bustle in this gorgeous 2 bedroom 1 bath fully furnished condo nestled in the mountains. Enjoy gorgeous views while sipping hot cocoa by the wood burning fireplace, or outside on the private patio. Watch the abundance of deer and wild horses as they graze their day away. Its prime location to ski slopes is less than a half mile from Ski Apache turn off, the Winter Park sledding, softball fields, and 5 minutes away from downtown Ruidoso. Beautifully decorated with high end furnishings. Beds have memory foam mattresses and soft comfty linens with electric blankets for cold winter nights. Soak in the gorgeous claw foot tub (no stand up shower) that looks out to El Capitan Mountain. Peaceful, lovely, and quiet surroundings with enclosed basketball and tennis courts, outdoor seasonal swimming pool, and a huge club room available to our guests with pool table, ping pong, full kitchen, TV, fireplace, and wi-fi(Pool and club room currently closed due state orders for COVID-19)

Fully furnished kitchen with full-size appliances. Dishes, glasses,, pots and pans, baking pans, coffee pot, crock pot, blender, mixer, mixing bowls, silverware, toaster, cooking utensils, linens, towels, blow dryer, bluetooth speaker, Smart TV, DVD player, wi-fi, and washer/dryer. Queen bed in master. Queen bunk beds in 2nd bedroom that are adult strong.

Great Stay

Perfect Location

The location was in perfect proximity to Ski Apache. Soaking in the claw foot tub after a day of skiing was the best ending to an adventurous day. Plenty of room and ample heat. Would highly recommend!

Quiet and cozy

This was a great find last minute for a quick ski vacation. My kids loved the bunk beds. Only complaint would be the bath tub. It’s not functional as a shower and drained slow after use.

Spring Break

Some issues upon arrival, but manager was super easy to reach and took care of the problem as best she could. The bath only has a wand for a shower head, which made showering a bit awkward for the grown men. Otherwise, comfortable, easy location for skiing!

Cozy but needs some updating

It’s a cozy place but needs some updating. It wasn’t as clean as it should be, there were spider webs and I found a big spider crawling in my bed. The bunk beds had peppermint candy stuck to the comforter. The blinds were broken which let light in making it difficult to sleep in.

Needs improvement

Outside deck is being reconstructed which is fine. The walkway to the back apartment is uneven and there is no lighting at night. The bathtub is nice, but it is so tall it is not friendly for older folks with knee issues. A makeshift shower curtain on each side is water stained and does not appear clean and has a hand sprayer as a shower head. Place needs a shower. It is well decorated and the location is good. There was no smoke detector, only a carbon monoxide detector. The home appears all electric and needs a smoke detector. A little disappointed in the apartment, but worked out.

Thanks for your feedback and renting my home. Yes, I live here, too. I take pride in maintaining and preserving it, and also serving my guests who rent from me. I’m disappointed you saved your complaints about the shower curtain water stains(which fully fits the claw tub enclosure appropriately) and smoke detector for this review versus reporting it in real time for an expedient remedy and increase in your overall satisfaction . We did find the smoke detector on the patio railing. Looks like previous guests must have used the smoke alarm as the dinner bell and the housekeepers missed it on inspection. This would have been a very quick and easy fix had you reported it in real time. We’ve also inspected the walkway decking to the unit, since your review. The walkway is even with proper spacing of the decking. There are no issues with the decking ~no uneven areas were noted. Reminder that this condo is in the mountains and the natural habitat is preserved. However, there is a working porch light. This is precisely why each guest, including you, is reminded with check-in instructions to have a flashlight should you arrive after dark. The claw foot tub is appropriately listed, pictured, and described on the platform. There is no shower and the listing is advertised as such. Happy to hear you liked the decor and location.

Great stay

Lovely condo in private, quiet area. Definitely try to arrive before dark and look for the gate with the number on it for the walkway to the door. AC was welcome this hot summer and did a good job. Décor was so nice and condo truly had all you could want or need for your stay, and we really appreciated the water conditioner. Unit is one level and only had a few small steps from the parking area. All in my family were comfortable in their beds and we rarely heard others around the property. We were entertained by deer and the wild horses and a quick drive up the adjoining county road rewarded us with elk up close. Courteous and friendly communication with the host really made us feel welcome! The only drawback (I hesitate to call it that) was the wraparound deck is in the process of being replaced and we weren't able to sit outside with the sunrise. It didn't take away from our stay as we just walked around and enjoyed the outdoors that way. Just something to be aware of if you have little ones or plan on grilling and picnicking. This property is a great value for the amenities and location and we would love to return in the winter or fall (to hear the elk!) and cozy up with the fireplace!

Short stay in Ruidoso

Nice little property that checked all the boxes. Convenient location to everything we had planned to do in the area. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. Property owner was a pleasure to work with and was very attentive to all our needs. Definitely recommend.
