Your north woods vacation home is a Gorgeous 4,000 (FOUR THOUSAND) square foot like new Log cabin located on beautiful Pickerel lake known for its great fishing, it is a 300 acre full rec lake located in Vilas county 5 mins to Eagle River, 8 mins to St. Germain and 20 to Minocqua.
This spacious 5 bedroom, 3 FULL bath log cabin with all knotty pine interior has every amenity you would ever need, from the fully equipped kitchen to the Smart T.V.s set up for tv/movies(one in living room, 3 season porch and lower level rec room) WIFI, (Frontier high speed)WASHER /DRYER, DISHWASHER, AIR CONDITIONING, 3 season room overlooking the lake, towering stone wood burning fireplace, HUGE DECK with gas grill overlooking beautiful Pickerel lake, fire pit area at lakes edge, swing set with sand pit area, large U shaped 100 ft dock with steps into the lakes sandy bottom for swimming, tubing, wake boarding and skiing right from the dock! There is parking for cars, trucks, trailers, boats ect.

Awesome family retreat!

This home does not disappoint! Our family of 8 adults and 6 children, ages 4 to 14 months stayed here. We all had comfortable sleeping spaces, key for napping children. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cooking utensils, etc, and well used since we cooked all our meals in with the exception of one. The three season room was awesome and used for family games at night and safe space for children to hang out when not in the water or out on walks. The walk out deck was great for quiet reading and extra space for eating. The location was great, not too far away for the few times we needed to replenish food supplies. The owners were responsive and great to work with. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks for a great place where we created special family memories!

Beautiful Place!!!

Beautiful vacation spot, enjoyed this home away from home. A gorgeous bald eagle visited the dock to eat its lunch (a fish) one afternoon. One of our favorite moments to witness this vacation. Thankyou for sharing your lakehome with us/others.

Annual family getaway

Our family had a fun and memory filled week stay at this lovely lake home. Fishing both from the boat and off the dock enabled us to enjoy a fish fry of bluegills and perch enough to feed nine people. The eagles and loons nearby were interesting to watch although we didn’t see any deer. The home and kitchen was supplied with all of the amenities we required and the sun porch was a bonus for games and puzzling. The furniture was comfortable and the home well maintained. The fire pit area was well used and has a nice level paved surface with a perfect view of the dock and lakefront. The water was clean and the bottom was sandy with the lakefront clear of weeds. We would love to make this our yearly family getaway place. Thank you Dan and Mary for maintaining such a lovely home in the north woods.

Outstanding Family Get-Away on Pickerel Lake

This lake property has everything renters could possibly want or need. The beautiful cabin is very clean, well stocked, and comfortably accommodated our 3 families. The large deck and sunroom gave everyone plenty of space to do their own thing. The swing set and sand area provided hours of fun for the little ones and the sandy lake bottom made it possible for them to play in the water as well. The fishing was great including right off the pier where a 24" northern was caught. We saw a lot of deer, eagles, and even a coyote. Dan and Mary are great hosts and made us feel that they genuinely care that people have a great time there. We highly recommend this property to others and hope to return there in the future.

Wonderful home at a beautiful lake.

Great Getaway

My husband and I have done several VRBO with our sons. This year we decided to include my siblings in on the fun! We decided to stay in Wisconsin and thought the Eagle River area would be perfect. We chose the right week because this beautiful cabin was available! We enjoyed plenty of lake time on a pretty quiet lake, while still being close enough to town to go do activities. The best of both worlds. Since we haven’t been on vacation together since we were kids it was nice to have plenty of space to spread out and retreat to our rooms when we wanted. Kayaking, fishing, bonfires, eagles, albino deer, horse back riding, mini golf, go karts, Paul Bunyan days, playing games and watching movies. The owners were friendly, great at responding and the place had everything we needed.

Beautiful property with a beautiful view

The house was lovely and had a beautiful view of the lake. It is a great location which is close to Eagle River and St. Germain. There was plenty of room for 3 families. My husband and daughter used the sun room to work and have coffee in the mornings. We would love to stay there again in the future!

A perfect week

Our family had a wonderful week with good weather and a perfect place for our family. The house was perfect for families with grandparents, children, and grandchildren of all ages. The 3 levels allowed all of us to enjoy our time there in different ways. The house was so clean and had everything we needed. We rented a pontoon boat and went out on the lake every day. We saw the albino deer several times which was really neat. Dan and his wife were very responsive to all of our questions. It truly was the best vacation I have ever had Up North.

Camper Family Time!

This is a lovely 'up north' property--beautiful views & a comfortable setting. We loved the sunporch, lots of room to play cards. There is a side yard perfect for playing washers. We took out the paddle boat & row boat, just enjoying the water time and got a little fishing in...sorry, no reported fish caught for any great fish stories :-). There was a perfect area for an AirStream to be parked on the property, easy in and easy out. We would have liked a second refrigerator, but the side porch gave us a good place for our coolers & easy access. Had a couple of questions during our stay & Dan was very responsive to my texts. A great property, thanks!

Family get away.

Outstanding home with beautiful scenery overlooking the lake. Owners answered questions quickly, only had two. Albino deer an added attraction. Loved this house, going back next year.

Amazing Place

We loved this property! Dan and Mary provide a home that is warm, yet not too overdone (therefore plenty of room to bring in your own things). The cabin is up-to-date, clean and welcoming. There was plenty of space for a large family. The exterior is as nice as the interior, from the kids' playset to the large deck, firepit and some grassy areas to put up badminton and bag toss! Fishing was great too. This has been one of the nicest properties we have stayed in. Thanks, Dan and Mary!!

Great Stay on the Lake!

Beautiful views, comfortable house, lots of fish in the lake - everything you need for a great up north vacation! Kitchen had everything you needed to cook any dinner - plenty of space for the 8 of us that stayed there - kids enjoyed swimming and kayaking from the dock. We caught dozens of bluegill, several larger bass, and 3 northerns - best spot is just the point to the left of the dock. Air con was great on hot days, beds comfortable, wi-fi was strong. Fire pit and deck got plenty of use as well - this is what you would expect out of an executive luxury vacation!

A great place to stay.

Our family loved it and begged us to book again in the future. The lake proved to be good fishing and our granddaughters loved the two kayaks. The only drawback for us was the unevenness of the air conditioning for the top floor. We didn't mind the extra coolness of the ground floor, as a matter of fact the family who slept down there loved it. However, the folks who slept upstairs said it was uncomfortably warm even though we had the AC set down to 69 degrees just for them. Except for the AC problem I would rate it five stars, Everything was clean and the kitchen had all the necessities. We made good use of the griddle for pancakes several mornings. It is well decorated and the couch by the fireplace is heavenly as many of our family chose to nap there. In short it has everything anyone could want.

Take my advice

I highly recommend this rental. The cabin is very spacious with nice separation for multi-family vacations. The screened in porch, deck, and fire pit ensure enjoyment of the outdoors no matter the weather. Finally, it definitely has the best view on the lake.

Castaway Cottage

The cabin was beautiful and everything we expected and more. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an exceptional place to stay, just bring your food along and enjoy. Only ten minutes from Eagle River so plenty to do and see in the Northwoods.
