Apollo Bay Getaway - 4 brm House

This roomy four bedroom house comfortably sleeps up to 8 people - 3 queen size beds and 2 singles.

It also boasts a large kitchen/living area, separate lounge, two bathrooms and under cover rear decking with BBQ and outdoor furniture. The back yard has lots of room for the kids to play, and the wide drive way provides ample space for car and boat parking.

Price Guide:
2 night minimum at $335/night. Week (7 nights) $1,750. Prices will vary, check rates when making the reservation.

Prices are for up to six people. Extra persons $25/person per night, Max. 8 people.

Please note: Linen/Towels not included in above prices. Linen can be provided at $23 per bed.

Location

The house is located in the heart of Apollo Bay, and it's just a short stroll to shops, restaurants and cafes, as well as the foreshore and main beach area.

Local Attractions/Facilities

Within Apollo Bay and surrounds - patrolled beach, golf course, boat harbour with launching ramp, fishing on the surf beaches, jetties and Barham River, bush walks, waterfalls, horse riding, scenic drives.

Of course, Apollo Bay is the gateway to the shipwreck coast and the Otways. A leisurely 40 minute drive will see you at Cape Otway light house, and in another 45 minutes you will be at the famous Twelve Apostles.

What You See Is What You Get

The house provided what we required ie bathroom, beds, place to chill & kitchen. While the house is an old house it met all our needs. I did find the back rear bedroom mattress hard however the lounge was super comfy to sleep on. Walking distance (2 blocks) to shops & restaurants. Short drives to the 12 Apostles and plethora of waterfalls & amazing walks. The only downer was no internet.

Apollo Bay stay

Property is quite old & everything looks original. Inside could do with a good clean. Need to change a few light bulbs. There was food left in the fridge when we arrived. Bins hadn't been emptied for a while & were full. The add didn't have many photos of the inside of the house & I can see why now.

Oldie but a Goodie.

The overall property is adequate for your needs. There was plenty of room for 6 adults and 2 children. Plenty of crockery and cutlery and a great size fridge. The only drawbacks were no dryer (but trhere is a washing machine), no internet and from what I could see on the booking site, did not tell you this (which I would have thought all properties should have these days unless you are on an island). This was particularly hard, given we had children who wanted to play on their tablet to give us a bit of peace! Also the wardrobes and drawers were very musty smelling so we kept our clothes in our bags. Also it could do with more heating in the back bedrooms as they were very cold and this was where the bunk beds were for the kids. I know we got this property at a good rate, but I would prefer paying a little more and getting some mod cons installed. Overall, a great location and would book again, if these issues were rectified.

An older style house in a good location - easy walk to shops - with plenty of space and everything we needed. Will book again.

As advertised

The house was in a good neighbourhood and relatively close to the beach within a couple of minutes driving. The house was very clean and we loved the new lounge suite. We spent a lot of time outside on the deck in the back and had a barbecue for dinner one night. The beds were very comfortable too.

Enjoyable affordable stay

The property is old although clean and close to all amenities- we enjoyed having it as our base to enjoy what Apollo Bay had to offer.

Great affordable family holiday

We had a lovely time at this property. It is full of character, large and roomy, large backyard and car spaces. Older house, but clean and tidy and affordable. Will be definitely staying again.

Great location. We have a young family and this place was perfect especially with the backyard.

This house is in a great location. We have a young family and wanted somewhere close to the street and homely. The kids loved playing in the backyard.

The worst experience of renting a holiday home.

We booked and paid four weeks before we go there. On the way to property we spoken to the owner. Everything was alright. But we got shocking news from property manager, that the property is already rented out one day before for three days. It was very stressful moment. After spending couple of hours on the road with my kids, they hardly manage the unit at different place. I accepted because of no other choice. But they absolutely spoiled our holidays. Very bad experience indeed.

Cheap and cheerful accommodation in Apollo Bay. Great for big groups.

The label on the packet describes the property well. Walking distance to the Great Ocean Road where all the shops are in Apollo Bay, this property was spacious and can accommodate a big group/family. It has the basics and for that price point you can't ask for anymore. I think some of the reviews here are a little unfair to the owner. It is one of the more affordable properties in the area for a family or even two. I would like to thank the owner for a smooth interaction. We definitely enjoyed our stay there. Cheers. Nick.

hot water, heaters not working properly and no bed sheets

The follows are to be improved: 1) hot water system is not working properly on the night we arriving. 2) heaters were not enough for whole house, the one in the dinning area was not working. 3) no bed sheets provided on all beds, only mattress protectors on beds!!!

Spacious house with a huge backyard

We had a great stay in this vibrant town. The house was pretty well located not far from the town centre. We chose to drive into town and there was lots of parking. The house was clean and well appointed. It’s a great house with lots of room for a family.

Spacious house in a quiet neighbourhood

The house itself is pretty basic and old but very clean. Fairly close to the shops and the beach. They had a BBQ but was not clean enough to be enticed to use it. Small TV and a Small microwave oven could use an upgrade. Parking space sufficient for 4 large cars. Also has a big backyard.

Basic

This accomodation is very sparse and basic. The pros are that there are lots of beds and the property is not too far from the Main Street/beach. One issue we encountered was the key was not left where it was meant to be when we arrived. We called the agent however the agent offered no apology at all, just said they would drop the key off later. This was inconvenient and unprofessional.

spacious house

great house. 4 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms and large kitchen made it very easy for a large group. the house is pretty basic but clean and perfect as a holiday house.

This propery had everything that an extended family requires for a comfortable beach holiday.Great backyard for cricket matches.It's central location was perfect for a stroll to the family friendly beach or to one of the excellent reastaurants.Certainly would book again.
