Welcome to The Big House at Apple Blossom Farm, the only vacation home in the Gettysburg area with a year-round heated indoor pool!
Arrive via a half-mile driveway lined with organic apple trees and friendly deer. This 30-acre farm retreat is just 10 minutes from downtown Gettysburg yet secluded and peaceful, surrounded by wineries, orchards, golf courses, shopping, skiing, antiques, and more.
Sit on your private balcony overlooking the pastures where you’ll see horses, donkeys, Highland cow, pygmy goats, deer, wild turkeys, and other wildlife.

Farm Experience
Guests are welcome to enjoy our rescue animals: horses, donkeys, pygmy goats, barn cats, Highland cow, chickens, ducks, and geese. Children love helping with feeding (treats available for purchase from our son).
Hot Tub (Optional Add-On) can be added up to two days before arrival.
Our 6-person hot tub is available as an add-on. This is by the length of your stay.
2 nights – $150 flat fee
3–5 nights – $200 flat fee
6–8 nights – $250 flat fee
9–11 nights – $300 flat fee
Additional Notes
Dogs welcome ($150 per dog, flat fee). No cats.
Property is professionally cleaned between stays (black light inspections for pet accidents).
As a farm/orchard setting, harmless pests (stink bugs, lantern bugs and, field mice) may occasionally be present despite regular extermination.
Safety: No ATVs or motorbikes permitted.
Cameras: Ring doorbell (front parking area) + exterior camera (driveway).
Checkout procedures required (strip beds, take trash out, put away dishes).
Signed rental agreement required plus ID.
The Big House is on the owners private 30 acres along with the owners's home and two other private rentals.

This was a stay-cation for 14 guests. Communication with the host was excellent. Plenty of bath linens and pool towels. Kitchen had plenty of coffee supplies and spices. The indoor pool, hot tub, and pool table were highlights, but being able to interact with the rescue animals was awesome! The large dining room table was perfect to eat as a group and play games.

Our family loved feeding the animals apples and watching the deer. The game room, pool and hot tub gave everyone something to do. A beautiful home with lots of space for big families.

We had family to the Big House recently and we had a great time. While the kids loved the pool, game room and everyone enjoyed the hot tub, the friendly farm animals surrounding the house were clearly the hit. My family travels every year to Gettysburg and it’s going to be difficult wanting to stay anywhere else! Perfect for large groups looking for a beautiful location that is comfortable and unique! Perfectly located to visit Gettysburg and all that it offers. My teen girls loved the entertainment room and spent a lot of their time playing games and singing karaoke. The hot tub and pool were great for evening swims and relaxation. Every animal we encountered was so friendly. We will definitely try to come back!

This was our second time staying at the Gettysburg house. We loved all the animals, especially the horses and cats. The pool and hot tub were very enjoyable. The kids loved the game room and the adults loved the campfire. Definitly recommend this house for your next family vacation!

This house was amazing! The pool was such a fun activity to have right on hand. Ots super clean and added bonus its warm! The house is fully srocked with everything you need for cooking, playing and enjoying your stay! Very close to a lot of fun activities, coffee shops, restaurants, ect. The fame animals were a great addition. It was so fin to see them out of the windows in the bedrooms. They also have treats you can give fo them, they are all super friendly. Beautiful and private property, the owner was very reaponsive and helpful when needed. Highly recommend this location and would stay again!

Everything fulfilled our needs for an enjoyable family get together vacation of 6 adults and 7 kids. Kitchen with everything and grill for eat in breakfast and dinners. All served at a roomy table for 13! Inside pool was perfect for hot sunny days and one rainy evening. Kids entertained with all the animals and game room. Hot tub was also a hit. Relaxing end of day sitting around the campfire. Proximity to Gettysburg was perfect for history experiences, eating out and the candy store. House was clean and adequately furnished. The house, grounds, location, & amenities were beautiful & as advertised. We enjoyed a relaxing family gathering while having plenty of games & activities to do as well. The animals & ability to feed them was a great bonus. Elizabeth was accessible and answered questions promptly as needed(although there wasn’t many). The information binder upon arrival was very helpful. My kids suggested updating the animal pics as there was a second cat (not pictured in the book)that they wanted to know his name. Definitely a great spot, well maintained, & helpful hosts.

Thank you Elizabeth and family for your warm hospitality. From the time of booking until after we left communication was quick and helpful. We felt so welcomed to your beautiful home, thanks for sharing it with us! The views are spectacular, location was easy to find with your clear directions. Thanks to your son Vaughn for the fresh eggs and animal feed that was for purchase. The kids enjoyed feeding the friendly animals, and we can see they are well taken care of! The house had great decor, including brand new stunning wall murals in the living room and pool area! Beds were comfortable, soft towels, tons of amenities throughout the house and property - and thoughtful attention to details. The pool was a real highlight, complete with pool toys and floats! We really appreciate how you go out of your way to make your guests comfortable! Hope to come again soon!

Magical Winter Escape

From the goats, donkeys, horses, and the friendliest cat around to the accommodations, we had an incredible stay. The home was more than well appointed. Very clean, and all the extras were a plus. The pool and hot tub were a welcome respite after a day of chasing kids around on skis. Great kitchen to enjoy a family dinner and breakfast. We will definitely be back! A Magical Christmas Experience

Our extended family of 14 spent five days at this lovely home over the holidays. We particularly enjoyed the farm animals, fresh eggs, jacuzzi, indoor swimming pool and ample space to gather or enjoy some private time. The dining room table that comfortably seats 14 was a huge hit. You couldn't have asked for a more responsive host! Elizabeth was quick to reply to any questions we had and did everything to ensure that we had a perfect family gathering on their beautiful farm.
