WEEKEND CHECK IN's ARE USUALLY ON A FRIDAY, THERE IS A POSSIBILITY FOR SATURDAY CHECK INS

Neudorf Country Retreat is a leisurely 2 hours drive from Sydney. Close to Wollombi and Mount View; the gateway to all the beautiful wineries the Hunter Valley has to offer. We are off-the-beaten-track and still close to everything your heart desires.

The cottage is self contained, with two luxurious double bedrooms, spacious lounge area, modern kitchen and bathroom, combustion stove, air-conditioning, TV, video, DVD, stereo and fly screens on all windows. All the linen and towels are provided.
One room has additional single bed, towel and bedding supplied, but need to bring sheet set(pillow case, fitted and flat sheet)
Other room has single bunk beds (inquire for pricing)

Weekend bookings check in 2 pm, check out Sunday 4 pm
Price quoted is for 4 adults - inquire for a discount if you are only 2 adults!

Enjoy the wildlife, or just read a book on our sunny veranda. Find your star under millions in a cool clear night sky and take the time to watch your dog chase its tail.

Neudorf is a place the whole family can enjoy. Lots of space to run around and feel nature at it's best.

For your pets we offer a kennel on site which allows you to go out for a short while and leave them safe.

My mum, my friend, my puppy Teddy and I adored our stay here! We loved the view from the windows and when we sat together outside and explored around the place!! We had many adventures in Cessnock and the Hunter valley and it was amazing to wake up and see all the different animals come out to eat or just sitting and looking around. Thank you so much for having us and hopefully we can come back at a later date to continue exploring!

This place might be a little bit older, but it was the best place we have stayed at on this holiday. It was completely restful, saw kangaroos, kookaburras, different birds etc.It had everything we needed. we loved it. Hosts left all the info that we needed.

Relaxing retreat

We had a great weekend at this serene and very private property. The firepit, indoor fireplace and spotting kangaroos were the highlight of our trip. Regina was very helpful and even helped us with our car that had a dead battery. Would highly recommend. Thankyou Regina and Neil

Cozy country cottage

We enjoyed our second lovely stay at Neudorf, we loved waking up to misty green views and the warm log fire. Our dogs especially loved the wide open space and we feel at home in the cozy cottage. Remote enough to get away from it all but close enough to drive to the hunter and enjoy a day of wine tasting. Highly recommended.

Campfires, kangaroos, peace and quiet!

We loved our little stay and wish we could be stayed longer. The locations is so peaceful you can really switch off and enjoy family time. Fantastic provisions for dogs which was great.We loved playing the guitar and singing round the campfire at night. During the days the kids would look for frogs in the dam and be outside. Not once asking for a screen (yay). Weā€™ll be back thank you.

Calm and Refreshing

We very much enjoyed our stay at Neudorf Retreat the house was comfortable, clean and well laid out for a cosy country stay. We especially appreciated that our Dogs were welcome to join us for our time here. The hosts made us feel welcome and were great communicators. 5 out of 5 ā€˜Tail Wagsā€™ from us. We will definitely visit again.

Home away from home

We all enjoyed our stay immensely and felt like we were given warm hugs when we arrived not only for the efforts taken to help us feel that way but the way the home is stocked to ensure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The environment is relaxing. My dogs loved the pond and exploring the surrounding areas. We will be back.

Great stay near Hunter Valley

Had a great experience staying at Neudorf for a couple of nights with the family and dogs. Large property, clean accom and a short 20mins into town (Cessnock). Regina and Neil were very helpful, and provided easy to follow directions to the property. Would definitely recommend staying

Greenwood travels

Loved our short 3 day stay. Loved the natural surrounding and sounds, little wrens flying about and the roaming echidna at night. It was 10 mins to Stonehurst were we went for a wedding. Would have loved to stay longer and bring our dogs next time. Highly recommend and noticed many repeat stays which speaks volumes.

Perfect Place to unwind

My family, and 2 frenchies, travelled to Neudorf for a wedding at Bimbagen. From the moment we arrived we were surprised and thrilled with all the little details. We all settled in quite quickly, and loved the birdlife on the property. I would absolutely recommend this retreat for anyone.

Great short weekend getaway from the big smoke

Nice country style house with all the bells and whistles. Even an indoor fireplace to stay warm. Very clean and has a full kitchen and fridge so you can cook in case you want to stay in rather than explore the Hunter.

What a gem this place is! Peaceful and beautiful. We spent a good few hours with the outdoor fire sipping wine and staring at the skies. Definitely an amazing place to come for some RnR and much needed time away from our busy city life! Will definitely be coming back again!

Loved our short stay at this beautiful property. Well appointed little house with gorgeous outlook. Our dogs were absolutely exhausted at the end of each day from their adventures. Loved sitting by the fires inside and out, as well as enjoying the sun in the swing chair. Easy access on a lovely scenic road to Wollombi for lunch. Highly recommend!

Ahh The Serenity

What a hidden gem! Handy to Hunter Wineries, Broke & Cessnock. Very peaceful sitting on verandah watching ducks on the pond or you can snuggle up in front of the fire inside. Birdsong was the only noise that we heard and we were greeted by a pair of Eastern Rosellas each morning. Regina was a pleasure to deal with and obviously wants her guests to have the most wonderful stay. Highly recommend if you wish to recharge or just chill.

Perfect Second Home

We came to Neudorf intending to use it as a second home closer to our friends and family so they could visit us and meet our new baby as we live interstate. It was absolutely perfect, there were enough beds that we could comfortably stay in one room with our toddler and baby and our family could stay in the second room if needed. All the linen, towels etc were of superb quality and the host communication was excellent in making sure we had what we needed for us and our guests. Despite temperatures dropping past zero overnight, the fireplace kept the cottage nice and warm. It was super helpful having an actual kitchen and bbq, there was no need for takeaway (but there were options reasonably close if we wanted them). The bathroom was superb with a bath big enough to put all the kids in or for a tall adult to relax in. The whole property was really well kept, our toddler could safely run wild (with supervision due to the dam) and had an absolute blast. We didnā€™t use the tiny house part of the property but it looks lovely, is a short walk from the main cottage but as there are trees in between it is still quite private.

Perfect remote getaway.

Very tidy and looked after, felt homely with a nice mix of modern utilities in a classic home. Very remote to help relax in nature and feel disconnected from city stresses. Quite happy with our visit here. The stay was excellent.

Amazing country retreat

Great property with open space. Comfy beds and the house has everything we need especially the coffee machine. Our 17yr old Jack Russell loved the freedom to roam.

Your dog/s is/are most welcome to Neudorf. We don't charge any extra fees for dogs.
We ask you to be mindful of wildlife, cleaning up after your dog around the house area and do not let your dog/s on any furniture.
We now offer additonal space for your friends + family to joing you. TinyNeudorf is about a 5 min walk away from the cottage seperated by trees. Sleeping 2 guests in a queen bed with a king single sofa lounge for the larger child to stay. The Tiny has everything you need for a comfortable stay in nature.
