Soak up the Victorian historic charm with all the modern updates in this 750 sq. ft. newly furnished ONE-BEDROOM private home that underwent a gorgeous designer renovation by Holly Baker of HGTV's show New Orleans Reno. This Bywater Beauty is listed as one of the 15 best Airbb’s in New Orleans. Guests always comment that the rental is even more stunning in person than the photos show & the host is quick to respond!

Fodor's named the inspiring Bywater neighborhood a TOP TRAVEL DESTINATION for 2019 and Louisa Street is the perfect Bywater street to absorb the local flavors on while relaxing outside on the large front porch. The spacious chic interior with its 12.5" ceilings and luxurious Hotel Collection bedding will also accommodate all possible needs!

The home is located on the most popular corner of the hip Bywater neighborhood and is on the same street and less than a block from some of NOLAs best restaurants and bars such as Markey’s Bar, Bud Rip’s, and The Country Club restaurant bar and pool. Satsuma and Alma are around the corner and Acayama, Bacchanal, Sneaky Pickle, Elizabeth's, Pizza Delicious, Suis Generis, JAMNola, and the Crescent Park are all just blocks away. The house is only a 15 minute walk to Frenchmen Street and the French Quarter.

It is a beautiful property in a perfect location. Suzanne was very responsive and accommodating with my schedule. If only I had more time, I would have enjoyed the front porch all day. The pocket doors so lovely.

Awesome Stay

This beautiful home had everything we could have asked for. It was clean, beautifully decorated with lot of amenities. The location was perfect for walking to many restaurants and bars. We enjoyed the a great breakfast at Alba’s which is only a two minute walk from the front door.Our host was responsive and also had some great restaurant suggestions. We would definitely stay here again.

Long weekend

Loved the house, location and Suzanne is awesome! I needed some hair spray she had some in the bathroom, ran out of make up wipes she had those too… and a first aid kit we had to get a bandaid from! Extra blankets and a fan we also needed! Friendly neighbors and great restaurants all within walking distance. We loved it!

I needed a place for a night to then catch a flight the next day. Place was really nice. Owner responded to messages in real time. Great location in Bywater. Places to eat and drink were very close.

Honeymoon Stay

The property’s location was great, allowing my wife and I to walk around Bywater to local restaurants and stores. We were no farther than a twenty minute drive to other districts in New Orleans. The home, and district, felt very safe, with multiple locks and a security system, clean, and offered all the amenities we needed. I highly recommend this home to anyone planning to stay in New Orleans.

A perfect stay in the Bywater neighborhood

The property is a beautifully renovated New Orleans style shotgun house, located in a quiet Bywater neighborhood, an easy walk to the French Quarter. The owner could not have been more hospitable. We loved our stay and are already looking forward to the next visit.

Sweet ByWater apartment

Suzanna is everything you could want in a host. Responsive while being laid back. She helped make our stay feel like we had come home. And what a home it is, airy and bright with soaring (14 foot?) ceilings and a fully equipped kitchen, high end linens and in-unit washer and dryer. The location is perfect for exploring the Bywater neighborhood, its growing list of Great restaurants and new clubs opening on St Claude and ready access to Crescent City park along the river.

Beautiful in Bywater

The house and location was perfect. Bywater is a neat community with lots of local restaurants, coffee houses and pubs. We ate somewhere different everyday. It was fun exploring the community. we went on lots of walks and bike rides. I was fun meeting Suzanne, we got to see the video of the renovation. Really nicely done. Thanks for the wonderful stay.

Bayou Blizzard 2025

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Bywater Beauty. Suzanna was an attentive host and very easy to communicate with. The apartment was clean and well appointed with everything a traveler would need. The Bywater location was convenient to many excellent restaurants and it was an easy walk along Crescent Park to the Quarter.Our stay occurred during a once in a lifetime New Orleans blizzard. It made us appreciate even more the easy communication with Suzanna as we were able to arrange for an extra nights stay due to our flight being cancelled. And the well equipped kitchen was all the more important due to most of the restaurants being closed!We highly recommend the Bywater Beauty!

Bywater Best

This was the first time I used Vrbo to book a stay. And the first time I have ever been in, or stayed in the Bywater. I must say, if this property wasn’t the best that the Bywater had to offer it is now. It is most perfect charming house, with style, and class. Amenities galore. Suzanna has made sure there are all the basic necessities, plus more. Do NOT go grocery shopping beforehand!! Unless you are bringing “refreshments”(wink wink).What Suzanna has listed is what is there. Plus the proximity to great restaurants, Alma(breakfast), The Joint BBQ(lunch). And a snow cone stand. Literally a few minutes drive to the French Market. A 5 minute walk to the river where we watched the 4th of July Fireworks over the Mississippi.Couldn’t be more pleased with it stay. And will definitely be reaching out to Suzanna in the future.Best of the Bywater!! So we say.

That closet Don’t let it fool you. Blankets, foam cushions, there is a washer and dryer!!

At home in the Bywater

As soon as I stepped through the door of this Bywater Beauty I felt at home. I just felt comfortable, relaxed without a sense of needing anything more. The location is great with a short walk to many cozy quieter neighborhood restaurants, bars, and cafes. Frenchmen Street (Marigny music clubs), and French Quarter were easily walkable too. My wife and I used our feet to get everywhere except for the cable car we took to get out to the Garden District. Our host, Suzanna, is very proactive and super responsive ensuring our stay went off without a hitch. When I'm in New Orleans in the future I will definitely try to reserve her place again.

Perfect Stay!

Suzanna was a friendly and excellent host, and her place was an authentic addition to our time in New Orleans. The location was everything we wanted, in a beautiful Nola neighborhood with nearby restaurants, and the water front literally in walking distance! The home is wonderfully styled and cozy. Will definitely be staying here again!

Very nice!

We loved staying in this home. I would return to it if I pass through New Orleans again. Everything is perfect in the house and as described. I was unsure of the location as I wanted to be somewhat close to the quarter and this was just right. My husband and I even walked to the quarter but it was a good 25 minute walk. We loved sitting on the front porch in the evening and feeling the vibe of the neighborhood. There are several restaurants in close walking distance and all were good. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Wonderful Bywater rental

This place was amazing! The location was perfect. It was a few blocks from numerous bars and outstanding restaurants. The French Quarter and Frenchman St. were less than a mile walk. The neighborhood was beautiful and the home itself was beautiful. The host Suzanna was wonderful, very helpful and willing to answer any questions and give recommendations. This will definitely be our go-to place for New Orleans.
