Northern Lights #4 is a peaceful 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath, two story oceanfront townhome in an intimate 9 unit community on Grand Cayman’s scenic North Side.

Conveniently set along the quiet North Side coast, this retreat offers a private beach, snorkeler friendly reef just offshore, and sweeping Caribbean Sea views—ideal for couples or small families looking to unwind and connect with nature.

With direct beach and pool access plus modern comforts, it’s a relaxed, easy going base for your island stay.



The Space:

BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS

• Primary Bedroom: Queen size bed, flat screen TV, en suite bathroom, and private oceanfront balcony.

• Guest Bedroom: Two twin beds with access to a full bathroom.

• Additional Sleeping: Standard sofa in the living room suitable for one extra guest.

• In total, the townhome comfortably accommodates up to 5 guests.

LIVING AREA & INTERIOR FEATURES

• Approximately 1,854 sq ft over two levels with an open concept main floor.

• Fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar, adjacent dining area, and comfortable lounge seating.

• Ground floor screened in terrace opening directly to views of the beach, pool, and ocean.

• High speed Wi Fi and flat screen TV for downtime and movie nights.

STARTER ESSENTIALS PROVIDED

Your stay includes a convenient starter supply of:

• Toilet paper and paper towels.

• Dish soap, dishwasher detergent, and laundry detergent.

• Bath soap, shampoo, conditioner, blow dryer, iron, and ironing board.

OUTDOOR AMENITIES

• Private screened lanai on the main level plus an upper level patio for sunrises, ocean breezes, and evening drinks.

• Access to a freshwater pool, private beach area, and a dock with shaded cabana.

• Complimentary 2 person kayak for exploring the surrounding coastline (subject to availability).

BEACH & WATER ACCESS

Northern Lights #4 sits directly oceanfront on Grand Cayman’s North Side, with approximately 240 feet of private natural sandy beachfront and beautiful views over a protected Marine Park reef. This stretch of coastline is wonderful for shore snorkeling and diving, with coral, rays, turtles, and tropical fish often spotted just offshore, and easy access from the dock’s swim ladder and platform.

The beach here is a natural shoreline, better suited for snorkeling, beachcombing, and relaxing by the water than for long sandy walks or shallow wading right in front of the condo. Underfoot you’ll find a mix of sand and coral, and water entry is typically from the dock into deeper water over the reef rather than a gentle sandbar. For comfort, we recommend wearing water shoes or fins when entering the sea and always checking daily sea conditions before going in.

If easy, classic sandy swimming is a priority, there are several great options a short drive away:

• North Side and Cayman Kai public beach areas offer softer sand and more traditional walk in swimming.

• Rum Point Beach and the Kaibo area provide sandy entry, beach chairs, and water sports, and are an easy drive from the condo.

Many guests love the quiet, reef front setting here for its snorkeling, views, and peaceful atmosphere; please review the photos and description to ensure it matches the kind of beach experience you’re looking for.

DINING & NEARBY ACTIVITIES

• Over the Edge Café – About a 5–10 minute drive east along North Side Road for casual local dining with classic waterfront views.

• Rum Point Club & Restaurant – Usually 15–20 minutes away for oceanfront dining, beach bar favorites, hammocks, and a relaxed beach club vibe.

• Red Sail Sports at Rum Point – Also around 15–20 minutes by car for Stingray City trips, snorkeling, diving, paddleboarding, and kayak rentals.

• Kaibo Beach Bar & Grill – Roughly 15–20 minutes’ drive for casual beachfront lunches, wood fired pizzas, and sunset cocktails.

• Upstairs at Kaibo – Upscale fine dining above Kaibo Beach Bar, also about 15–20 minutes away.

• Kaibo coffee spot – In the same Kaibo complex, typically 15–20 minutes away, great for coffee, pastries, and easy breakfast starts.

• La Casita (East End) – Around a 20–25 minute drive toward East End for Mexican fare in a relaxed setting.

• Tukka East & Eagle Ray’s – Approximately 20–25 minutes away for East End seafood, lionfish dishes, and island style menus overlooking the reef.

• Morritt’s / East End resort area – Also about 20–25 minutes by car, with additional restaurants, beach bars, and oceanfront dining options.

• Starfish Point – Typically 15–20 minutes by car via the Kaibo/Rum Point area, popular for shallow water and starfish viewing.

• Stingray City sandbar – Reached by boat tours departing from Kaibo or Rum Point.

• Cayman Crystal Caves – About a 10–15 minute drive inland from the North Side/Old Man Bay area.

• Queen Elizabeth II Botanical Garden – Generally 15–20 minutes away via Frank Sound Road, with nature trails, iguanas, and tropical gardens.

GROCERIES, SUNDAY CLOSURES & PRACTICAL DETAILS

Nearby grocery options such as Foster’s Express and Chisholm's Grocery are about 15 to 20 minutes away by car. Larger supermarkets are also convenient stops on the drive from the airport.

Supermarkets are closed on Sundays in Cayman, though most restaurants and gas stations remain open, and some gas stations sell liquor on Sundays. Grocery items can also be pre-ordered and delivered before arrival.

Chisholm’s Market is on the Northside, and is open 7 days a week, and is well stocked with food, supplies, beer, wine & liquor. 15 minutes from the condo.

TRANSPORTATION

• A rental car is highly recommended for this area so guests can easily explore Grand Cayman at their own pace.

• Many guests book directly with trusted local providers such as Marshall’s Rent-A-Car, Andy's Rent-A-Car, or compare options through Kayak.

• Public transportation is a short walk away, having a car offers the greatest convenience and flexibility.

PROMOTIONS

CHECK IN & CHECK OUT

After booking, you’ll receive detailed arrival information by email, and your unique door code before arrival.

Check in is any time after 4:00 PM with keyless entry; early check in may be possible depending on cleaning schedules and can be confirmed with the property manager closer to arrival.

Check out is self service at 11:00 AM, with clear instructions provided; late check out is only available if pre arranged, as time is needed to prepare for incoming guests.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Travel insurance is recommended, especially during hurricane season from August through October, to help protect against trip interruptions and weather-related disruptions.

Seamless process, everything was in good working order. The host was attentive, but we also had no needs while we were there. It’s a very remote and quiet park of the island.

Property Mgmt changed my reservation to Silver Reef b/c owner changed their mind. Silver Reef, North Side, was a better villa compared to Northern Lights! Great amenities including loaded household items for guests. Private and quiet! Great location.

Quiet beautiful condo

Property is beautiful. On quiet side of the island. Enjoyed the beach nearby at Rum Point. Our beach too windy this time of year(spring). Lovely pool and condo was awesome. Has to leave early due to corona virus. Would have been nice to get partial refund.
