This beautiful newly remodeled cottage is located on Lake Beseck in picturesque Middlefield, Ct. The views of the lake are serene and produce an immediate feeling of tranquility. It is accessible from I 91, Easy access to Hartford, Middletown or New Haven, scenic drives,casinos, and antiquing. Close to Wesleyan University and 21 miles to the coast.There are 3 docks, one is a short swim away and the other two are adjacent to the property for boat access.
Betty's Boat House is one story and sleeps 4. There are 2 bedrooms with one double bed in each with HDMI ready TVs. Betty's has one bathroom with shower, kitchen, dining area seating 4, cable tv and WiFi internet, outdoor deck with seating and gas grill. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessities for preparing meals in. It has an electric stove, refrigerator with ice maker, microwave, garbage disposal, no dishwasher. There is a laundry room with washer and dryer that is shared with the attached property, Clarke's Landing.The rental includes new quality linens, towels, paper goods, shampoo, spices, coffee, beach chairs,gas grill, outdoor table and chairs with umbrella and floats. 5 minutes from Powder Ridge Ski Area.This is the smaller cottage of 2 attached units. If both cottages are rented together, the property sleeps 12. SEE CLARKE'S LANDING FOR OTHER PROPERTY

All went very smoothly from registering to check-in to departure. Location was great for us, everything we needed was there. Lanna answered my few questions promptly. Would definitely try to stay again if we head up to CT

The Lakefront Cottage was awesome... clean, well organized and quite. During our stay there were no issues, when a question arose Lanna replied immediately. The central location to Boston, Hartford, New Haven and other areas we wanted to visit made it absolutely convenient and easy to travel from for day trips. We will recommend this unit to others that are traveling to the area.

Great Apartment on Lake Beseck

Cute apartment with a great view! Kitchen (and entire apt.) well appointed and clean. Great location for day trips. Lanna was always available and easy to communicate with.

This place was absolute heaven. The lake so beautiful frozen and now thawed . . . can't wait to take a dip!!! I kept adding months!! Lanna is the best property manager I have come across! Very responsive! 5 Stars

Good location

Very central location, but tucked away from the main drag. Easy on and off the highway. Many amenities just up the road as well. Easy access to Hartford or New Haven destinations from this location as well.

Relaxing Stay by the Lake

This cottage was the perfect way to extent our stay in the area and wrap up a month long visit to CT. We invited friends to visit us, we ate at the table watching the sunset, we watched boats (slowly+quietly) go by and just soaked in the time we had to enjoy our stay. Check-in was simple, Lanna made check-in a breeze and she made sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

Lake House

Staying at Betty’s boat house was so much fun for me and my family. Lanna was in constant communication with us before, during, and after our stay. Checking in and checking out was super easy. They were so easy going and very welcoming. The property was very clean and organized and really had everything you needed. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a lake front retreat.

Wonderful Stay!

The house was charming, clean, and had everything we needed. The setting was beautiful, with the warm and clean lake literally in the back yard. The sunsets were beautiful across the lake. The neighbors were friendly and helpful. The house is well-located near state parks, Wesleyan University, fruit stands, yummy diners, and a beautiful ocean beach. We highly recommend this house.

Betty's Boathouse Review

We had a fabulous stay. The location was perfect toward our interests (Lyman Orchards, Travelers Championship tournament) and the site was quiet and beautiful. Beseck Lake is a gem. Only drawback was presence of ants indoors -- same problem I am having at home, perhaps with all the rain. Overall, I would like to return.

Sorry about the ants! Yes it's the 2 1/2 months of rain and unfortunately they moved in without making a reservation! I will definitely be providing them with accommodations in the form of their own hotels! Come back soon!

As soon as I walked in I felt at home.

It was perfect for all our needs. And the view! Amazing. We go back and visit family every year. We've been doing this for 40 yrs. By far this was one of the best visits. Definitely keeping this house in mind for next time. Loved it!

Lovely lakeside cottage at the end of a charming lane. Lots of light with an awesome lake view.

The moment I pulled into the driveway of Betty’s Boathouse I knew I was in for a treat! I was right! Upon entering the first thing I saw was the incredible lake view. I was totally in love! The home is impeccably clean, the colors were soft and soothing and filled with light! I felt at home immediately. The washer and dryer were new and very convenient.I stayed for 25 days and the location was perfect, close to the cities and my family. I didn’t get to meet Lanna but she was always available by text. The folks next door were very nice and helpful as well. I will without hesitation, rent this little piece of paradise again!

Vacation at Bettys Boathouse from October 3 to October 16 2017

The house was very comfortable and every day living provisions were provided. The view of the lake was beautiful. Use of the driveway was denied do to construction, which was an inconvenience. Lanna Berkun the Property Manager was very professional and went out of her way to answer all of our questions. Richard and Gayle Krauth

Best house for vacation

We stay on Betty's house on 4th July and this house is amazing. Lanna is a person very easy to deal and very responsible about the question about everything. The house is small but very comfortable. Everything is new and works perfectly. And lanna provides everything on the house. And when I say everything is really everything, the only thing you have to care about is go with food and your clothes because you find everything on the house. The neighbors are amazing and friendly and the lake is awesome. The water on lake is warm and you can stay on lake all day with the comfort of your house 15 feets away from you. You can find markets and local commerce with 10/15 minutes driving, but trust me: you will won't leave the house. In resume is a perfect house for vacation. This house becomes our favorite place to vacation and relax Thanks lanna for everything and seee you on next vacation.

Sweet little house on a sweet little lake

We were in CT for my nieces wedding and so we rented both Betty"s Boathouse and Clark's Landing. Betty's Boathouse is delightful, so pretty and cozy. I love the table in front of the big window, a good spot for morning tea and writing. Betty's Boathouse is also good for people who don't do stairs well as it is all on ground level. Just two steps up into the front, more if you want to go down to the lake. It is a small but very sweet spot. Clean and well equipped kitchen, lovely sitting area on porch and on the grass by the lake. Houses are close together in that area but it was peaceful and everyone that we interacted with seemed friendly. The trees were starting to turn and so the view across the lake was grand as were the sunrises. Lanna, who is in charge of this rental is very friendly and responds almost immediately to questions or needs.

I love being near water and rural New England. This property has it all. It is in the middle of a rural area with century old New England farms and orchards and is direct lake front! You can swim right from the backyard and go for a drive in the country and shop at a farm for the freshest ingredients for your culinary pleasures!

This property is newly built and very clean and is direct water front. The neighborhood is quiet and many families have had homes here for generations. It is very safe and the neighbors are friendly. The lake is fresh and inviting and the views are breathtaking. It is in the middle of farm country but yet easy access to major highways to Hartford, Middletown or New Haven.
