The quaint Bavarian-themed town of Helen is situated in the mountains of North Georgia. This cozy cabin sits among the trees, about five miles from Helen and Unicoi State Park is only a mile away.

Inside, curl up on the futon to read a book from the library or watch a DVD from the collection on the flatscreen TV, as the wood-burning fireplace warms the room (firewood is not provided). Whip up favorite recipes in the fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops, then gather for special meals at the dining table. A family of four or group of friends will love this charming, two-bedroom retreat. Other amenities include central air-conditioning and a washer/dryer.

Taking a mountain hike is always a great way to spend an afternoon. Explore the stunning natural scenery of Unicoi State Park or the double waterfall at Anna Ruby Falls. Sample delicious brews at the city's popular Oktoberfest or sip wines at the numerous local wineries, and decide which restaurant has the best German food around.

Great Recommendations

The gentleman and his son were very helpful when we arrived offered to help with our luggage and gave us some great recommendations on the area and especially where to eat. Had the cabin smelling wonderful when we arrived, told us where to get firewood for the fireplace. The fireplace was very enjoyable.

very nice house and location but had a problem

we really liked the place. the only problem was that when we arrived we did not have a/c. we called right away and were told that they would call someone. when we got back monday we still did not have a/c. we called again but we did not hear from them at all. luckily it was not hot at night so it was comfortable while we were in bed. i would return to this place but we were disappointed in the lack of response to our problem. the driveway needs to be regraded. there are some pretty big pot holes.

Poor

There was no stopper in the kitchen sink to be able to wash dishes the bathroom shower was too hard to pull the stopper down so no showers were able to be taken we went a whole day without internet and I needed to work which cost me $600 and the trash situation is very poorly done as I paid a hundred and some dollars cleaning fee and I have to take out their own trash after we are about to leave and there's nowhere to put it

We apologize for the maintenance issues this guest experienced. The Property Manager is working on these items and will follow-up with housekeeping as well.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!!

We chose this property specifically because it had a hot tub. After our arrival, we got in our swimsuits, but it was NOT HEATED. We adjusted the temperature in hopes that it would heat up. The next morning it was still cold so we called Vacasa and the lady tried to claim that WE were supposed to let them know IN ADVANCE to heat it up. We weren't accepting that excuse because it still never got hot over night. Finally, she agreed to send the maintenance guy over to look at it. HE is the only reason I'm leaving 2 stars instead of 1. Jeff got there within 5 minutes. He quickly discovered the board was fried from the wires. He replaced some wires in hopes that it would rectify the problem. He was very polite and personable. Unfortunately, his repairs did not fix the problem. So we went our entire vacation without a hot tub, which would have been relaxing after our hike... again, the main reason we chose this property. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED! Jeff said he would inform the management about our complaint, but we still have not heard from them. Also, we had to bring our own grill because we were not allowed to use the one that was there. And if you're looking forward to relaxing by a fire pit, keep looking. Not only do they NOT have a FIRE PIT, don't expect to use the FIREPLACE on a cool September night because that's not an option either!!! Tiny bedrooms, NO working HOT TUB, NO GRILL, NO FIRE PIT and NO FIREPLACE in September. Just not a good rental for the mountains. You might as well just go camping.

Great location

Cabin is nice. Carpet is older has stains ,dining room table is older has rings from no glaases,cans being set on without using a coaster. Was told when checking out to leave towels wash clothes in washing machine for cleaning crew. There is no washer dryer in this cabin. It would be more beneficial to have the check out procedure printed and leave on refrigerator. You have to trash 1/2 mile down the road to put in dumpster. Responsibility should be for cleaning crew. When you are a guest and have luggage in your vehicle you shouldn't have to transport garbage. Spoke with 2 different reps and both had different guidelines. All in all great location had a great stay

Nice place to stay

Home was easy to find.Great driveway.Excellent communication from start to finish.Internet only went down for a very short period but was sluggish at times.Good selection of dishes,pots,pans and utensils.Gas grill was sorta trashed so didn't get to use it and the jets in the hot tub were weak.Needs some gravel or pavement around the laundry room as it stayed pretty wet.Other then that we had an awesome time.We cooked a lot of our meals instead of eating out.Ray was working on the internet when we got there and was very helpful.Everything was clean and stocked.Definetly wanna come back next year!Thanks!

Weekend getaway

House exactly as described. Great location. Sign at driveway is very easy to miss. GPS is not exactly right on target. Hot tub could use some work. Jets did not blow hard. Overall house is great for small family or two couples.

Cabin in the Mountains of Helen Georgia

The cabin was not what it look like in the picture , But the cabin was old .but it was ok . The Internet did not work the four days were there , the stove was not cleaned from the last guess . The cabin really need some updating done, bed could have new mattress on them . Would those update , the cabin would be nice and get the internet working .

Fun getaway

We had a great time staying at this little cabin. While it is small, it’s perfect for a family of 4 or two couples. Cabin had everything we needed for the weekend. It’s a great location to Helen. We would absolutely stay again.

Not bad

Basically this property needs to be updated. However, it was super close to all attractions we were interested in and the property manager was super helpful when we needed them. The carpets were old and stained. We were able to use the washer and dryer which was extremely helpful and that was clean under the house. The hot tub works halfway which we read previous reviews. That could have been cleaned as well. But honestly we didn’t see any bugs or anything like that considering we were tucked away in the woods. It was a cozy place made for Goldilocks! But cute for a small family.

Stayed for 4 nights last week

Good location, quiet and close to Helen and other attractions in the area. Cabin was a bit small for a family of 4 ( good for a couple and 1 small child ) The kitchen counters and dinnerware in the cabinets were not clean, disappointed! I was told when I called the management that there was a dishwasher for use but could not find one. Disappointed again ! The website amenities mentions washer and dryer but there was none for use ! The management was not very helpful in providing correct information about the property. The website should be updated with correct information about the property and it’s amenities especially when one is traveling with bare minimum and expecting certain amenities for use. The hot tub was great but the jets were not working ( or partially working on one side of the tub ).Driveway could use some levelling with gravel as there are potholes in the driveway but we were lucky as we had an SUV otherwise a car can easily get stuck in the driveway.

Disappointed

This is no way near a 5 star cabin... The cabin was in the trees, in a neighborhood with noise and traffic, it was loud due to being very close to the 385...the traffic noise was loud. The TV in living room did not work. We worked at getting it to come on for over 30 minutes to no avail. We tried every input. The bedroom with the Rocku worked, but the WIFI is so bad, the movie stopped to reload about every 30 seconds. We ended up in the other bedroom to watch an old DVD. The shower did not work, so we went 2 days without it. The instructions were not given properly. The hot tub jets were barely working. It was like sitting in a tub of warm water. The Internet was in and out during the time we were there. We called every number possible for help to no avail. On the third day we were so frustrated we packed up and went home.

Secluded but close to activities

with todays challenges with covid-19, the cabin was clean, secluded and only 11 minutes from helen and 2 minutes from the state park and hiking. Great location, secure, and relaxing

Mini Family Vacay

We came to celebrate my husband and daughters birthday due to the COVID-19. We wanted to have a good time with just family. The cabin was very cozy and homey. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to booking with you guys again, in the near future.

Cozy Cottage near Helen GA

This is a lovely older cozy cottage very close to Helen, GA. Great screened side porch added to the living space. A huge number of books and DVD's for renters' use. Very comfortable beds. The hot tub was a bit of a disappointment - no jets really. There is a large lodge close by, so it got a bit noisy in the evenings. We had significant difficulty getting in touch with management company when we had a problem (no water). We called our direct service person, who was on vacation. Called the emergency number, had to leave a message. Called the general number and had to wait 20 minutes before someone answered. However, once they were notified of the problem, they fixed it very quickly.

Relaxing getaway

We loved the location. Wasn't off the beaten path yet is secluded enough to enjoy privacy. Smaller than I expected but worked out great since it only ended up being 2 of us. We enjoyed our stay.
