Great location

We enjoyed the location of this property very much as it was a short distance to wineries, beaches, shops and restaurants, yet felt secluded. The home was roomy enough for our family and the kitchen and living room area are great for entertaining. The price for nightly rental was reasonable for the area. The negatives of this home are; there is not a lot of information provided for traveler's which is unusual in a VRBO rental and the home and property have some areas in need of upkeep but again, the price was lower than most in the area.

No place to hangout.

Couldn’t get in to the house until the cleaning lady let us in. Before she showed up I texted the manager but got no response. No towel bars in the bathroom,shower curtain and rod were in a closet,no rods in closet to hang anything.Managers response when I needed it was nonexistent.Would usually get a response the next day, not in a few hours when I needed an answer. Have stayed in other homes and usually they give you all the information you need for your stay in a binder or something similar,nothing in this case. One bright spot, the cleaning lady and her daughter.

We had no hot water throughout our entire stay

Two teens and five adults stayed at this property for the Columbus Day weekend. We did not have hot water throughout our entire stay. The manager of the property was completely unresponsive and sent us only one message stating that he called a plumber and a handyman. He did not call even to apologize and did not respond to any further communications. Needless to say, nobody showed up to fix this and we did not get hot water restored. We have rented through VRBO multiple times and problems certainly do happen, but for the first time ever we had such an unresponsive manager. I caution you against renting this property because there is no support from the owner/manager and your problems will not be resolved. Renting it seems to be an afterthought. While location is great, there are some other issues. The house seems to be work-in-progress, with some work ongoing and all closet doors in the bedrooms taken out, as an example. The dishwasher is not properly installed and is literally falling out. It actually is dangerous. There is a fireplace, which was not cleaned out after the previous use. One of the split AC/heat units in the living room does not seem to work. The sliding doors to the deck are improperly installed/old and are difficult to open and close. The kitchen is ok otherwise and well-stocked. The bathrooms are clean and operational, except, again, no hot water. We contacted the owner/manager after our stay and asked for credit since, in our opinion, we did not get the rental we expected to get. In any hotel room or rental, we look for three things: location, beds and a hot shower. One of these three crucial things was missing during our stay. The owner did not respond to this request for credit AT ALL. Just no reaction. Again, the total lack of communication is unheard off, in our experience. We liked the house layout and the location, but everything else did not live up to the expectations.

Perfect Fall weekend with friends

Perfect for 3 couples traveling together for a relaxing long weekend on the North Fork. The view is stunning, the kitchen is very well stocked for cooking, the beds are comfy, and the location is super convenient. Loved all the fire places/fire pit!! For the price, this place is absolutely awesome. The property seems to be a remodeling work in progress, and maybe not stayed in very often, so there's a few things that could use updating/maintenance. But once they are they could probably charge double, so stay while you can for this great deal! :) Overall really lovely stay and Shawn was always quick to respond to any questions we had. We loved it.

Beautiful pond view! So relaxing.

We just loved getting away from it all. Gorgeous home with two fireplaces. We thoroughly enjoyed the movies and comfortable furniture and beds. The kitchen was well stocked and we shamelessly helped ourselves to cashew nuts and fruit and biscotti. The home is very clean and nicely appointed. Highly recommend!

Property was clean and communication to owner via text was very easy. Seems to be a work in progress, as this was a new listing, but very accommodating.
