The first place to explore (and linger!) is the ocean view balcony, which you can reach from sliders in the great room, the primary suite, and the guest bedroom. Come inside from the balcony and find yourself in the open-plan living, dining, and kitchen area of the condo. Every space has a view through the sliding glass doors, so you can see a bit of palmetto even from the depths of the kitchen! (Views this good are more important than walls!) The great room offers plenty of seating around an HDTV with a DVD player, VCR, and cable package. A wide coffee table offers a nice place for snacks, drinks, or the kids' toys and shell collections. Your whole group can settle right in here; there's also an easy chair for reading or napping, good strong lamplight, and plenty of open floor space. No stepping over suitcases or trying to stash everything away to make a walkway -- Hampton 6107 is spacious and well appointed.

The dining room and kitchen give you several options for meals. There's a nice formal table for 6 beneath a chandelier, a breakfast bar with several stools, and of course, the lure of the balcony for al fresco dining. You may just have to turn the table into a Clue and Ticket to Ride playing area, use the breakfast bar as a buffet station, and let everyone fill their plates and wander at will! Of course, you also have free WiFi here, should you wish to set up laptops and tablets at the table to check the opening time of that great restaurant you want to try or upload some vacation pics to social media.

You may not plan on doing too much cooking while on Hilton Head Island, but the kitchen at Hampton 6107 tries to tempt you. It's fully stocked with chef's tools, utensils, dishes, and cookware, not to mention gleaming appliances and tabletop time-savers such as a coffeemaker, toaster, blender, and microwave.
