Welcome to Guaibim: Located 17 kilometers from Valença, a city that holds a valuable architectural, cultural and artistic heritage, in addition to the natural, present in the streets paved with irregular stones, in churches that hold images from the 18th and 19th centuries, in colonial houses or in the ruins of the old fabric factory Nossa Senhora do Amparo, the first installed in Brazil, today succeeded by Companhia Valença Industrial.

As a result of the old factory, the first hydraulic network in Bahia appeared, when the first generator powered by water was installed, at Usina Candengo, in 1908. From the top of the Church of Nossa Senhora do Amparo, one of the most beautiful panoramas of the region can be seen: the city in the foreground, followed by the archipelago of Tinharé and, on the horizon, the Church of São Francisco de Assis, in the distant town of Galleon, surrounded by green and sky blue.

Throughout its length, the beaches have moderate waves, great for surfers, who annually dispute one of the stages of the regional surfing championship.
