Enjoy long sandy beaches, excellent boat launching, ski lane, and fabulous fishing. For those who prefer fly fishing, there is the famous Whareroa stream mouth, or Lake Kuratau only minutes away.

Taupo is just an hour away via a beautiful scenic lakeside road.

In the winter months, the Whakapapa ski fields are only 50 minutes away. Enjoy a full day on the slopes and then stop in at the Tokaanu hot pools on the way home for a relaxing soak.

Parents, there is a porta cot and highchair available for the wee ones, as well as games and movies to keep them entertained during wet weather.

Please note:
Whareroa Village charm comes from its remoteness, but this does mean that the nearest store is 20 minutes away. Turangi is the closest town, a 30-minute drive so it's important to stock up before heading out.

Guests are expected to leave the house clean and tidy.
